Description of Work: Kevin Laird painted my brick house and trim. He repaired some rotten wood on the soffit and glazed some windows. He did a wonderful job. Very professional personally and the finished product was so beautiful. I sold the house in record time! I would recommend his company and would use them again!

+ -1 morewe hired KDL to paint the interior of the home which covered some bold high-gloss colors in a new home. All the holes dents and other imperfections on the walls were made invisible. All of the previous paint was covered without a trace. We decided to go with 1 neutral color throughout, but know we who to call for some accent walls in the future. We will have KDL back to do the baseboards and trim after the flooring is completed. + -1 moreIt went well. I recieved three bids. Kevin's was reasonable but he presented himself as the most knowledgeable and prefessional of the three. I often find that lwest bid isnt always the best and in this situation I was correct. I had to wait a couple of weeks to get the work done but it worked out as the roof repair work was delayed. He got all four apartments done within a week's time, cleaned up well and did additional work by painting the baseboards which I didnt ask for. I was very impressed, and I am a bit picky. I have asked him to do some additional work at my home which he hasn't yet done but will submit a report once that is completed.
Description of Work: Kevin painted 4 apt. for me. and repaired water damaged ceilings.

They started when they said they would, they finished when they said they would, and they came when they said they would; which means a great deal when you have a tight and hectic schedule. The workers were neat, clean and diligent. They were very responsive to our requests, did things exactly as we asked, and we are very pleased with the results. We are planning to call them back for future projects. An all around positive experience.

I'd offer some long-winded narration, but it isn't necessary; I called Kevin, met him, liked the estimate, offered him the job, and watched as he accomplished in five days what would have taken me five months. No drama. No surprises.

Description of Work: I was EUPHORICALLY pleased with the work performed by KDL painting. Kevin was PATIENT with us as we painstakingly chose and changed and chose our paint colors. We also added a lot of add ons and extras along the way and he was ALWAYS pleased to accommodate us. We initially just wanted the interior of the house painted. we had approx. 8 colors. Then we decided we wanted the garage floor concrete stained and to even have a door with connecting wall added and it now looks as if the wall and door were always there. KDL handle all of the things that would have boggled me , like finding a door and crown molding that matched all the others in the house. They also removed a mantle which i feared would leave holes in the wall but if it did, i would never know. The wall is PERFECT now. And to top all of this, this EXCELLENT job was performed without my supervision as i lived 8 hours away. They also did a great job in leaving the property neat and clean. OH! and they even hung light bulbs that we would have had to hire someone to hang. KDL is very TRUSTWORTHY. I will attempt to send pictures but keep in mind that these pictures do this job no justice. The paint was so smooth on the wall that it looks edible. SERIOUS!!

+ -1 moreExtremely happy with their job and attention to detail. The painters showed up on Tuesday at 8:30am right on time, and left the first day at approximately 4pm. Then arrived the next day at 8:30 am and were finished by 2 pm. Kevin is the owner and does not subcontract. He is there on the job painting with his workers. They sanded walls, filled old picture wall holes; preparing walls before starting. He suggested that I put the face plates to all of the outlets in the dishwasher after they were removed, and they would be clean and ready to re-install at the end of the job. Who would have thought! Great idea! Over 15 yrs. of having painters at different times, I never had one that suggested cleaning the face plates, they just reinstalled them. He did extra trim painting that was not included in his estimate, and did not charge me extra. He takes pride in making the walls look good & thus does the extras. He is a 3d generation family painter and it shows in his work.
Description of Work: Had entry, livingroom, diningroom, stairwell and 2nd floor hall painted. Have a 14ft entry way with dining room/livingroom combination that also opens to an open stairwell with one landing area up to the second floor. The second floor hallway has an open catwalk that looks down on livingroom and entryway. The kitchen is 14 ft/W by 30 ft/L. KDL painted all of these areas, which have chair rail trim in the entry (they painted too), diningroom and full kitchen. The lower parts of the walls with chair rails were painted with accent colors.

+ 0 moreKevin Laird who is the owner of KDL Painting completed painting my house in January of 2009. He did the exterior first because of the weather conditions. He later on did the interior. He painted 3 large rooms, 2 hall ways and a bath and a half. The work done was excellent. He was neat, clean and punctual with a great personality. He was very accommodating too. While painting, if things are not working for you, then he goes right along with the game plan. He also offers suggestions when you have any difficult times. He is a wonderful young guy in his 30?s, married with 2 small children. He was happy to work with. He is one of those people who wants to do an excellent job and has got a real attention to detail. He doesn?t mess up feelings or anything. He cleaned up after himself. He did hire one worker to help him when he was painting the exterior. Even though the worker was a smoker, I never knew that, as they cleaned up everything. I was very proud of them. He gave us a real good price. I will surely use him again in the future, if I need to.
Description of Work: I used their services last fall, to get my whole house painted inside and outside.

Description of Work: Kevin came out and looked at the job ( deck pressure wash and staining ) gave me an estimate. My deck is 300 sq. feet and gave me a fair price and an expected time of job completion. He gave me some real good advice as to what products to use and why certain products are superior to others.

Kevin and Robert were very friendly and courteous. Also, very neat in painting and clean-up. When the work was completed I asked for 10 business cards to forward on to friends and neighbors.
Description of Work: Interior painting of large, 2 story den, stairway and office area; walls and ceiling. Also touched-up trim in these areas. Same color of paint was used so one coat application of walls and ceiling were all that was needed. Drywall repairs in many places were also done and sanded before painting.

Kevin, the owner and 3rd generation painter, is very caring and one of the most professional people I have ever had the pleasure to work with. He is helpful without being pushy and had no problem when I changed my mind on the cabinet color and added another ceiling to be painted. I can not say enough nice things about KDL painting. I will be recommending them to everyone I know. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish!
Description of Work: Painted walls and ceilings in living room, large guest room and kitchen included cabinets (oil paint) and removing wallpaper. These walls were extremely dry and required two coats of paint. Replaced water damaged ceiling in upstairs bathroom, sprayed with 'popcorn' finish to match the rest of the house and then spray painted. Pressure washed outside of the house, the deck and front concrete landing. Repaired missing panel on the eve of the house and caulked around the kitchen window and anywhere else that needed it. Spray painted ceiling in game room upstairs. Fixed a spot in the ceiling of the small guest room at no charge. Stopped what he was doing to help me help a friend in need and go find my doggies when they escaped from the back yard.

Description of Work: Kevin (KDL Painting) did indoor and outdoor painting at my home in preparation for me putting it on the market to sell. He painted my 18-foot ceilings in my stairwell and foyer as well as finished what I could not in my family room. He also cleaned (pressure washed) the exterior of my house and then painted my trim and molding on the exterior of my home while repairing some rotted wood on one of the windows.

+ 0 moreI called Kevin with a request to see if he could paint my dad's interior walls and I needed it done within the next 2 weeks. He stopped by to check out the project and give me an estimate. He even asked if he could possibly come out on Saturday to start. I said that would be fine. He and another worker showed up on Saturday and worked most of the day. They then returned on Monday to finish the job. They made sure all the trim was taped and carpet was well covered before painting. He also went out of his way to paint several walls with additional coats of paint do to the wear. This was at no extra charge.I would definitely use Kevin again and plan to do so next year.
Description of Work: Kevin and assistants repaired and sealed numerous holes in sheetrock prior to painting walls. These walls had not been painted in 15 years. They painted the ceilings in kitchen and eat in area. They painted walls in kitchen, master bedroom, smaller bedroom, both bathrooms and large family room. they also painted some trim work in the kitchen.
