Kevin was very organized and professional from the first meeting for the estimate to the completion of the job. We could not be happier with the quality of the work.

i called and was able to describe the job and get an estimate on the phone. We picked a date for the next week. Kevin actually called to see if he could come a day early. He had an outside job scheduled on a day it was supposed to rain and wanted to do my inside job instead. I was totally ok with getting it done early. Kevin and his crew arrived on-time and did an outstanding job. There was probably more patching than I (and Kevin) anticipated but they did that as well. I didn't reqest doors but he noticed that the pantry door really needed it so he included that as well. I highly recommend this company and will use them again.

KDL did the most professional work of any painter we've ever used, seen working, or even heard of, bar none. They were extremely meticulous cutting in edges - all sharp as knives. Every day they cleaned up and put away their tools. There was not a single paint drip on the floor. When I realized I really didn't like the color I had chosen for the bathrooms, they cheerfully repainted - no extra charge. (It was a small change, but another contractor would have asked for more money, and probably rightfully so.) They kept the dust to a minimum as the job was going on and went through the whole house and did a thorough dusting job when they were done. I had only 2 items on the punch list on the last day - they took care of them in 10 minutes. And the whole crew is just a bunch of really friendly, pleasant guys. The paint job is just fabulous. My furniture and rugs suddenly look kind of tatty. Do you want (1) someone completely trustworthy? (2) someone who can do a wicked paint job? (3) someone who cares enough about your comfort and belongings to keep everything clean as they work? (4) someone who charges what was agreed upon? (5) someone flexible who won't make you feel bad about changing your mind? (6) someone who is totally conscientious? (7) someone who estimates not just the money but the time involved correctly? Then you want KDL Painting.

He was great. He was very nice and accommodating in that I asked him to do some stuff and change some stuff; he never rolled his eyes or acted liked I must be kidding. He did what I asked him to do. He was neat and punctual. He made a point to let me know about the weather and asked if he could come on a Saturday to finish, which he usually didn't do. He did come and finish, which was good. I got a couple other estimates and his price was good; it might have been the lowest. He does respond but sometimes it took a couple of days, but it didn?t bother me. He got busy and didn?t check his email. We mostly did email because it was more efficient. Once he started he was here. He did work when he was here and he didn?t stand around chatting. I think I would use him again.

Very professional from start to finish. Kevin was courteous, prompt and professional. They arrived precisely when they said they would, and finished the job within the time frame they had given me. It looks great, and I am very picky. They even labeled and put away the excess paint for me. Would definitely recommend!

They were on time and were very nice. I would have used them but things fell through on the job.

Kevin was punctual in arriving to give us our quote, very professional. We were having countertops replaced in kitchen, so he repaired the ceiling and painted before the old counters were taken out. He did an excellent job. Approximately 2 weeks later after countertops installed he performed all the othere services, which included removing wallpaper below our chair rail, sanded and painted all doors and walls, installed corner strips to 2 corners of kitchen, which look great. He supples all paint and material, and he cleans thoroughly after work is complete. He did not require any payment until entire project was complete. We will definitely use Kevin in the future.

I have used Kevin before and can't imagine I will ever use anyone else as long as he is in business. I am happy to work around his schedule because he stays very busy and it is easy to see why. He is pleasant, very professional and is meticulous concerning prep work for painting. I highly recommend both here and to my friends.

Once again, KDL Painting did an outstanding job. Prep work included power washing the building and repairing a window ledge that had rotted. Two coats of top quality paint were applied. This company does excellent work and I'm extremely pleased with the results.

Kevin is amazing!! He and his crew did a beautiful job - very professional, very sweet, they went above and beyond. Very nice to have met him and he helped make our new home absolutely beautiful. Very impressive.

Did considerable prepping, creating a lot of dust which went all over the work area.....though expertly and completely cleaned up after painting completed. Responded well to requests for a large palette of colors for work to be done, offering excellent guidance when we were in doubt. Applied extra coats of painting when required which did make a qualatative difference in final appearance but shoud have made that part of the estimate.

I had complete confidence in Kevin from our first meeting. He is very professional and pleasant. Throughout the process he did what he said he would when he said he would. The quality of the work done by him and his crew is EXCELLENT! I will never use another contractor to do the things Kevin does as long as he is in business. My screened in porch looks brand new and I no longer have to be ashamed for people to enter my home through the front door.

I found KDL on Angie's List and the previous reviews do not lie, they are fantastic. Kevin was completely professional throughout the entire process. Kevin started when he said he would and wrapped up a day early. The walls and ceilings look brand new (its a 21 year old house) and we could not be any happier. I would highly recommend using him to anyone who needs painting work in their house.

Kevin was very professional, and went the extra mile to get a color match to our satisfaction. Very thorough in replacing bad boards, and in general preparation for painting, as well as the painting itself. Great attention to detail. I would recommend KDL Painting to anyone looking for a painter.

Kevin came out for a free assessment, broke down costs, and told me to pick a stain. We picked a stain. Waited for a sunny forecast. Kevin came out and de-mildewed the deck. Next day his guys came out and knocked it out in one day, with Kevin assisting and supervising throughout. This is my second experience with KDL and I remain very impressed with their work.

Kevin and his crew were courteous, did a beautiful job painting, came in below estimate, and finished a day early. Can't beat that. I liked that he personally came and worked every day.

Approximate job lasted two days and we couldn't be happier. It looks even better than we anticipated. Will continue to use him in the future when job present themselves.

From the initial e-mail until the completion of the project Kevin was very professional. we were very pleased with the speed of completion of the job. We also appreciated his willingness to work later hours as was needed in our location.

Kevin worked for a week pressure washing, caulking, and painting the outside of my house. Kevin worked everyday, except for rainy days, and completed the job on time and within budget. When he completed the outside we had him do some minor sheadrock work and painting on the inside. We were pleased with his work and recommended him to our neighbor.

The paint process was outstanding from start to finish. When I first contacted KDL, I was living in Missouri and needing a painting quotation to use in determining a purchase price for this house in Decatur. Kevin Laird was thorough, professional and timely in providing the information. His bid was lower then two other companies. Execution of the work was meticulous. I especially appreciated Kevin's attention to details and tidiness. His company provided value-added service in hanging new window shutters and reconfiguring hanging shutters on a problem window. The house looks great! I have had several houses painted oever the years and this was by far the best experience. I cannot praise Kevin and his workers enough.
