John came out and gave me a quote. About a week later i asked for insurance information. He drove to my house to provide the information. After verifying the insurance, I contacted him by email to schedule the work. He had two men out the next day to perform this work. They were very efficient and performed the quoted work in a very short time.

First, after contacting two other area tree service company's, which said they would come by to give us an estimate.....then never showed up, we contacted John Pye with High Climbers Tree Service. He came to our house on the day promised to give us an estimate. He then showed up on the day he promised, to remove the trees. He and his crew did an excellent job, very efficient, cleaned up and was very professional. We would definitely use his company again, when needed.

It went extremely well. Five people showed up in total, and they had a bobcat (with special claws to grab tree trunks and limbs), a large truck to move or carry away debris, chainsaws of course, a pole chainsaw for trimming, and even a leaf blower for clean-up. I remained with one of the two company principals, John and Blaine, while the work was going on so I could observe the operation and be consulted about what my preferences might be as the work progressed. The whole process took about 3.5 hours.

Spoke with the contact this morning about an estimate of my property for tree removal. He was working in the area and asked what time I would be home to meet with him today. I told him anytime after 4pm and he said he would call me sometime in the afternoon to confirm a time. It is now after 7pm and I still have not heard back. Poor first impression of this company, especially since it came so highly recommended on Angie's List. Update-Company followed up the next day to confirm a time to meet with me and my husband. Met with us that Saturday to go through the property and discuss our needs for tree removal.

Things went very well. Had a tree that did not fell as expected. John and his crew got out here within an hour and finished off the tree. Very responsive and professional. Also received an estimate for future work. I will definitely be back to do business with High Climbers.

They were very hardworking, efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and also made sure to thoroughly clean up everything. I would recommend them.

John showed up to give a quote very quickly after I called. His quote was very reasonable and the work was performed exactly as promised. John and his crew cleaned up very nicely. I would hire them again in a heartbeat! The only thing I would do differently is make sure to mark each tree that we agreed to take down during the quote process. I usually do that, but I didn't do it this time and I regretted that. My bad...

It went great. The tree that prompted the call to the tree service was a large pine that had been struck by lightening that died and was in danger of falling on my house or the neighbors. He also gave me a lesser price on two more that were in a dangerous place. They took them down with no problem. They gave the best price. They did fast, quality, complete work. Ground the stumps, leveled the dirt and planted grass seed. In fact, the neighbors were so impressed with his work the neighbors hired him for a couple of jobs. Always do your due diligence though. I have had good experiences with service providers and then come back maybe a year or two later and gotten a totally different experience. However, John, the guy in charge, seemed very stable and mature. I don't think you will have any problem with this company.

I called and John came out the next day to give me an estimate on taking out two fairly large trees and the remains of a large dead tree that had hit the house. There was also an area of dead pines mostly on the ground that the pine beetles had killed. We agreed on the price and John told me it would be a certain number of weeks until they could get there as they were having an extremely busy summer. I was ready for that as I'd already had two companies say they would come out and never came and a couple of others that I could tell really didn't want/need my business. The work I wanted done wasn't really in the way. So when did High Climbers come out? Exactly the day they said they would... They showed up that morning right when they said they would and John had me walk around with his crew to make sure we agreed on what needed to be done. They got right on it and finished in what seemed like no time at all. I went out occasionally just to watch and they're very professional in what they do, but seem to have an awfully good time doing it. There was a lot of joking going on but only during setup and location switches. When they were cutting it was all business. They've obviously been together for a while. They did everything I asked them to do and also came up with a couple of ideas for accomplishing what I needed that actually was a little more work for them. Cleanup was all I could ask for. At the end it got a little interesting - When I went to write the check I mentioned the agreed upon price. John agreed with the amount. I then pointed out that they did more work than was in the original scope and asked him what was fair for that. John said - you know that's up to you. I added $200 and he seemed pleased with that amount. During one of my visits out to watch I'd casually mentioned what an issue I'd had with poison ivy/oak that year after having nearly none last year and just pointed at the infestation under a long row of azaleas and up a wall. I didn't even realize until after they were gone that they had completely, and I mean completely, cleaned all that out! They never even mentioned it. Good guys.

Did not show up the first time. Dislodged a set of concrete steps. They shill have not fixed them. Left Bobcat overnight and leaked oil all over driveway. I had to have it pressure washed.

I called to get an estimate for removing some sweet gum trees in my font yard. I spoke to John and he went out that afternoon and looked at the trees I had marked while I was at work and called me with an estimate. I had gotten a previous estimate froma nother company for $1200, I was shocked when he called back and said $850! I asked him to do the work right then! He got the permits for me and called me when they came in. He showed up at my house when I was out on the lake with my family, cut down the trees and had me pay him when I got home. It was a pleasure working with him and I will definitly call him again if I need anymroe trees removed.

History: I had had Blaine and John save my front yard years ago under another name when a 'logger' had trashed my yard and left it a mess so bad that my neighbors called to police on my yard. This time: I was relieved to find them again by accident and get an estimate that was half what others were estimating while the others weren't going to take the stumps or tree tops to cut their prices down. This crew works efficiently, like good friends on a mission, and they have been working together for many years. They take pride in their work and it shows. They asked before doing anything they thought I might not want done. They were very careful of my drain field which they were cutting around( I made very sure they knew where it was). This was a great bunch of guys - everyone of them friendly and hardworking. They raked up and cleaned up everything before they left my house. I have already been sharing their card and my story with co-workers and friends. I rarely run across a business so dedicated to ensuring their reputation is good the honest way- I will do my part to ensure they stay in business.

Never responded to initial request for service.

They arrived on time and worked carefully and efficiently the entire time. I wouldn't hesitate to use tgem again and highly recommend High Climbers. There's definitely an art to cutting a tree down. It was impressive to watch them work.

High Climbers was the lowest bidder by a large margin. They arrived right on time with a large truck and a bobcat. Counting the bosses, there were 5 workers. The cut most trees by hand. I was totally amazed by the skill these guys had when it came to cutting and dropping the trees exactly where they wanted them. It rained right in the middle of the week and we lost that day, but otherwise it went as scheduled. Even with the post rain mud they were able to get it done. The clean up was great and the lot was left ready for the construction. Since the work that was done here, I have recommended them to friends, three of which hired them and were totally satisfied. Great job and I would highly recommend them.

They did what they said they were going to do. They charged what they said they were going to charge. It was a two day job. The guys were very careful to avoid damaging the fence, cars, house and all sorts of stuff that we had there. They were even careful not to smash the flowers. They did a good job. I was very impressed by watching them work. I would call them again if I had to cut out some more trees. They did everything they said they were going to do and were very careful. What they or us did not anticipate is them hulling out a lot of trees. In the process the equipment killed the lawn. We had to do some lawn repairs. I watched it happen. It was unanticipated and not something I hold against them. It would have been nice to know it might happen before it did. Having said that. if I was going to have tree work done I would have them again.
