As I am in the business of making customers (that I actually perform services for) happy and not getting into online debate, I have posted the emails of communication between myself and (member name removed) . Also, I never performed any work for this member. On Sep 24, 2013, at 8:49 PM, (member name removed) wrote: Hi, That day and time is fine, the only problem is it's the exact time I'm not here. I leave every day around 1:00 to go to Atlanta to get my kids and I don't get home until 3:45. I'm getting estimates on the painting. The last estimate was ridiculous. This house looks big but it's really just the huge porch. Now with the trees gone, it looks stupid..lol..One whole side doesn't have to be painted because of the brick. I am still trying to find someone to tell me if my deck is work $5,000 to pier it up. It's such a mess. If you know a deck person, let me know. So, that won't be painted either and the deck is going to be torn down. This whole mess with the water in the basement has taken all this time for the insurance to finally deny the claim two weeks ago. Anyway, let me know if you think we can work Thursday out. I don't have to be there but need to pay you. I had a contractor at my house today and he told me to ask you if you are going to put bleach/cleaner and let it sit before you pressure wash? He said, "If it's just pressure washed it could mess up the house." I have no idea but wanted to find out how you clean it? Thanks (member name removed) On Oct 2, 2013, at 7:45 PM, Mike Dingler wrote: I apply a housewash mix that I make and it does contain bleach. I let it sit and then soft rinse it with water. It is a low pressure process and will not harm the house. I will be there tomorrow afternoon. Basically he was saying that too much pressure can and will hurt the house. Gaps in windows and my doors have huge gaps. Trying to order new doors. How can we keep all that bleach and water from coming in? I'm sorry, I didn't think of this earlier. I'm too afraid it's going to come in on my curtains and furniture…Also, All the furniture on the back porch and upper deck is not moved. I know I told you not to do the porch or deck but I'm afraid it's going to get on them anyway because they are so close to the other two walls…Let me know what you think, we may have to reschedule and I move everything. I can't take chances of the bleach ruining it. Let me know what you think about all this, (member name removed) On Oct 3, 2013, at 9:28 AM, Mike Dingler wrote: At this time I think the best thing to do would be reschedule. I do need all of the furniture moved or at least all cushions moved. Sounds like the doors and windows will be a problem also. We will postpone until everything seems to be in order. I know you have a lot going on right now, just let me know when it will be a better time. (member name removed) at his time I think it is in our best interest to postpone or cancel this job. There is a great liability that comes with leaking doors and windows especially if no one will be home when the washing takes place. I have been doing this long enough to spot a problem ahead of time. I will be booking another job in for this afternoon. My husband was taking off early to get my kids so I could be here to help. Looks to me like you just aren't prepared to work. Another contractor not doing what they say. I didn't mean all my windows leak. Water has never come in. I just wanted to be sure and see what you would say. The doors are no problem as I just would put tape at the bottom. You were not quoted to do the back porch anyway and I would have paid you the full amount. You go ahead and book your new job because you are so smart you know a problem when you are it. I will be reporting you Thanks for ruining my day! Sent from my iPhone On Oct 3, 2013, at 9:59 AM, Mike Dingler wrote: Wow. Didn't see that coming. Sorry we could not work this out. Who turns down a job in this economy when we are going to pay you full price just to skip a small past of our home? How is that affecting you travel time and all that bull you listed if you are getting paid the same amount?? Unbelievable. I report to all agencies, Facebook, Angie's list and more. It's commendable you're a fireman that why I hired you. It's a shame you turned our to be an ass. Here is the information I had: all windows and doors leak, no one will be home due to the fact that you pick up your children from Atlanta everyday leaving at 1 and returning at 3:30. These two pieces of information led me to believe that this would be a liability for my company. Hardwood floors swell if they get wet and no one is around. Just as you were being cautious so was I. Please do not challenge my work ethic, I work more hours in a week than anyone you know. If you feel the need to report me to whoever then that is your decision. I was making a decision to postpone your job based on the criteria I previously listed. If we could have talked on the phone this might have all ended up with you being another satisfied customer. I am sorry if I offended you or ruined your day, this was not my intentions. This is a difficult economy to work in, you are right. It is unfortunate that me trying to protect your property from water damage has ended up like this. Thanks, Mike Dingler Firehouse Power Washing (770) 468-0014 From: (member name removed) Date: Thu, 3 Oct 2013 10:53:40 -0400 I can guarantee you my husband puts in more hours than you. You never even gave me the chance to tell you we rearranged our plans so that I could be here. You started being rude because I was asking questions. I misspoke about the windows and I apologize for this. I didn't mean to say, "They all leak" I think I am just tired. They windows have never leaked. The contractor told me to ask questions and I did and you don't like it. I could care less about challenging your work ethic. Again, you don't work any harder than my husband who averages 3 to 4 hours sleep so get off your high horse. obscenities? Call you an ass isn't that bad because that's exactly how you acted. Maybe you should pick up the phone and talk to people and maybe you would understand things better. You did offend me and you did waste our day as we are just as busy as you are if you would stop with all the arrogance of how hard you work and how great your work ethic is. Your work ethic is horrible. If you are nervous about a job, pick up the phone and speak to that person. You weren't trying to protect my home from water damage. Give me a break….I was just asking questions to be cautious and you couldn't handle it. I'm in the middle of reporting you now so I just wasted more of my time trying to speak to an idiot. I then told her that while she is reporting me to make sure she told all readers that she called me an ass with a poor work ethic. She replied with "I am, stop harrassing me". This was the end of our communications. Everyone I have actually worked for has been happy with the job. I think it is a shame that Angies List lets people who have never actually paid me for services rendered weigh in on my companies reputation. Leaking doors and windows are why I carry a 1 million dollar liability insurance policy. As all business owners know, it is best to try to avoid a potential problem in which more harm is done than good. I hope that all who read this know that I tried my best to please this member, but some people are just miserable and project that attitude on all they come in contact with.
