+ -1 moreThis is a small landscaping company and we dealt directly with the owner. The original estimate was $6,500-$8250. On completion we were presented with an invoice for $9,986. We had no expectation that there were any unexpected costs or that the project was not going come in within the estimate. We were assured that the structure would be completed in 14-16 days but it took 4 weeks to complete ad this was only after repeated inquiries as to why the construction was not moving along. After paying our bill, we sent a note to the landscaping company expressing our lack of satisfaction with the price since it did not align with the original estimate. The owner of the company asked what he could do to make things right. We asked that he refund some of the amount paid to make the final bill more in line with the original estimate. He agreed.

+ 0 moreDisappointing. Left holding the bag. We had seen pictures of this company's work and were so pleased to have them involved in the care and improvement of our property. What a disappointment! We now have to start all over. We are so disappointed to have lost our trust in a company we felt would do such outstanding work in the improvement and sustaining of our landscape and property.
Description of Work: This company was voted Best of Businesses by poll and featured in Savannah magazine. It is the reason we selected them for our landscape and lawn care needs.They have been our landscaping and lawn care company for aproximately three years. In the beginning they did excellent work but as of the the end of last year the service, work, and response to our requests and needs have been poor. We had an evaulation of our property done two months ago and was told we would have plans and estimates addressing our needs and requests which never arrived. As the time moved on, the work teams who arrived were without any supervision and would say they did not understand English. I was told by one of the workmen on the very last visit that if I had questions or was concerned to call Cleve. He offered no help.This is very disappointing as this company did excellent work in the beginning. We just received our final bill yesterday informing us they would no longer take care of our property because of increased gas prices and we are less than 15 miles from them. I know they do work at the Landings and islands so the reason given is not creditable. It has been two weeks since our last lawn service, we receive this bill with no prior notice and now have to find another company with the yard needing care now. My impression is that Zipperer accepted our yard care with plans for hardscape and landscaping installation when their business waned during the real estate, building, and economy downturn. Now that the economy is beginning to improve somewhat, they only accept large jobs with big price tags. As we waited on Cleve to present his plan and estimate, we are now two months behind on spring work and hardscape installation. The spring and cooler weather is now lost. Very, very disappointing! We have recommended Zipperer Land Management very enthusiastically in the past but will no longer and will also warn our friends, neighbors, and colleagues that this company runs hot and cold and is not reliable. Zipperer's poor work ethic and business conduct reputation will spread.
