Description of Work: AC running constantly, thermostat at 75 degrees, inside temp climbed to 80 degrees on Friday with the warmer temps here in Savannah. I phoned Westberry Friday evening ~5pm, was told they could do a "non emergency" diagnostic visit on Monday or Tuesday for $89., or we could do an "emergency" diagnostic service call on Friday night/Saturday/Sunday for $20 more//$109. We went with the latter, asked for a Saturday morning appointment. 9:00am Saturday was scheduled. The Westberry employee showed up on time/few minutes early on Saturday a.m., was here 40 minutes, did the diagnostics, found the unit is newer but needed 1.5 pounds of refrigerant, which was added. Total charge $169.00, which is the service call charge ($109.) and $60 for 1.5 lbs refrigerant. Since Sat a.m. the AC has worked great, mush cooler, does not run constantly; overall much improved. Highly recommend Westberry!

+ -1 moreCompressor failed on a 12 year old system and it was time for replacement. Rather then just replace the compressor I chose to replace the whole system. Job was done professionally and on time. They made sure it worked great after installation. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Had to replace the outdoor AC/fan unit and the heating that was in the attic.

+ -1 moreI contacted Westberry to provide an estimate for replacing our failing heat pump/hvac system and ducting by email on Christmas Eve. Mr. Westberry was prompt, professional, and responsive especially given the holiday season, and came out the day after Christmas to do the estimate. Ultimately did not select this company as we wanted to use a brand of heat pump that his company is not a vendor for, although the price quoted was good for the units he supports (York). Note: I rated "Professionalism" as a "B" since he did not run a heat load calculation. That is perhaps a "nit-pick", in that an experienced HVAC contractor can probably estimate by eye the required size, and our house is not especially challenging, but the other two firms I received quotes from did the calculation (I ran it as well) and came up with a slightly different sized unit.
Description of Work: Provided quote to replace a failing heat pump/hvac system and ducting.

Description of Work: we purchased an older home (1925) and i don't think the air ducts had been cleaned in quite a while....we called David Westberry and he came out to the house and even went into the crawlspace to check out our system....we have about 30 or so air ducts and they all needed to be cleaned....he even agreed to come out on a saturday with his crew because that was the only day we could be there....he is the best and now our house is so much cleaner!

Description of Work: I bought a house with a 14year old HVAC system that was not working properly. I signed up for the yearly service contract and they spent the entire day making sure everything was working properly and replacing old parts that had worn out.

+ -1 moreI found them on Angie’s List. We have a contract for our HVAC and they come out twice a year to check our system out. It was the son who came out and did the check for the entire house. That went pretty well. Then we had a problem about a week later with another part of the AC unit. So, he came out pretty much the same day I called and fixed the problem which was good. It was about $500 for their services. Overall, they were very good. They knew what they were doing. I would definitely use their services in the future too.
Description of Work: Westberry Heating & Air Conditioning did a routine yearly check up on our HVAC system probably in August.

The owner came to give me an estimate when he said he would, he spent time with me talking about the estimate and additionally answering some questions I had about our gas furnace that weren't necessary to the work I wanted done. David Westberry was flexible about scheduling -- I asked to change the date at one point and it wasn't a problem. His crew came out on the scheduled date and got the work done quickly and did a nice job. Very good experience - I will definitely continue using Westberry in the future.
Description of Work: Westberry HVAC moved my condensor, electrical service line, coolant lines, and thermostat wire to a new exterior location. They punched through the brick facia on the bottom of the house to create an opening to run all these lines to the new condensor location. They recharged the coolant, and did some minor ductwork repair.

+ -1 more"Carrier" air handler for the upstairs unit was a mess. I made sure of that :). There was a blown fuse and burnt 230/24V AC/AC transformer. Some wires disconnected and taped off. I ordered new transformer on eBay, but did not feel like installing it by myself. Typical D.I.Y. job gone wrong. Finally I decided to call Westberry Heating & Air Conditioning. Very next day technician replaced transformer, checked circuitry and wiring, connected my new Wi-Fi thermostat and made sure everything was working Ok. He thought me a lot about A/C. I was new to AC (alternating current) concepts, hence the mess I created. I learned enough to successfully replace old mercury thermostat downstairs with the same new Wi-Fi one. Everything works great now. Tech was very professional and knowledgable. He did everything fast and clean in spite of my attempts to help him :)
Description of Work: Technician replaced transformer, checked circuitry and wiring, connected my new Wi-Fi thermostat and made sure everything was working Ok.

+ -1 moreMy A/C went out a 8 pm. I looked on Angies List and chose the top listed company for a/c repair. I called them at 10 pm and asked to be contacted the next morning. I was contacted by the owner at 8 am, technician was at my house at 9 am, my a/c was repaired and fully serviced by 11 am. They gave me a great product (their knowledge and expertise), a good price (not cheap.... and worth every penny), and excellent service. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them to everyone. Very nice people.
Description of Work: Replaced and repaired bad wiring and connections. Seviced entire a/c unit, inside and out.

+ -1 moreMy air conditioning system had stopped putting out cold air. The temperature had been near 100 and the heat index was up to 120. I needed prompt service and Mr. Westberry rendered it. I called July 19th and he came at 9:00AM the next day. When I made the appointment we agreed on 9:00. I couldn't believe it when he was on time, almost to the minute; so rare these days. He looked at my whole system and had it fixed within an hour. With the service call, Freon, and a small valve, he charged me $134. I was expecting more. Most companies will try to sell you a new system when you have a unit as old as mine. He didn't. I had to ask him first. I will probably buy one from him at future time. By the way, I got his name from Angie's List.
Description of Work: He put Freon in my A/C unit and replaced a small valve. He also cleaned the fins on the outside unit.

Description of Work: My A/C was dripping water in the air return vent. The condensor had moved slightly and the drain line was clogged. The guys showed me what happened and even showed me what to do if it happens again.
