They did a horrible job installing the sod. I took pictures of the yard to a horticulturist and he said it was disgraceful. They left gaps between the different rolls of the sod of about two inches. The horticulturist I spoke with said that I have to fill in the hundreds of gaps with sand and hope the grass fills in. If it doesn't, I will have to replace some of the sod. Lawn Ranger originally seeded my back yard, but it didn't take and they talked me into sodding the entire yard. He gave me a quote and a week later he called me and increased the price by over a hundred dollars. I received a quote from another company that had a better price that said they could start the following Monday. I called Lawn Ranger and let them know I was going with another company and he then reduced the price to the original quote. He put me off several times during the process and started a week after he said he could start. He started at 9 in the morning on a Friday without the sod being delivered. At 5 in the afternoon I finally asked him where the sod was and he said it had not been delivered yet. Right after that, the sod was delivered and they just threw it down and left. I thought he would come back the next day, Saturday, but he did not show up. He also put all of the debris that he pulled up from the yard on the side of my house. Due to rules in my neighborhood, we are not allowed to have debris like that in our yard. He said he would come back the following Tuesday to remove it, but never showed up. Also, his wife was going to design new landscaping for our front yard and email us the drafts and we never received those from her. About a month before he started the sodding projects, he came to the house to "kill" the grass in the areas that were to be replaced. He came back a few days later and tilled the area, but did not rake it out evenly. He then seeded the area, but did not roll the ground out. I asked him about it and he said they do not roll in the area. The area clumped up and is not even. They did bring a roller when they installed the sod, but they never used it. On his business card it says he does sod installation, but I would never recommend him to anyone.
