+ -1 moreThe technician named Chris was amazing. Chris not only gave me a courtesy call that he is on his way but also went straight to work as soon as he arrived. He explained everything to me in detail and finished the job in less than 30 minutes. He was also very thorough and insisted on cleaning up after himself even when I told him it was not necessary. My dryer is working like it's brand new again. I regret not calling Rudolph's sooner and have learned through Chris the importance of having my dryer vent cleaned regularly. Thank you Chris!!!

He stayed in communication as the parts were ordered and then fixed the washer in a timely manner. Really appreciated his professionalism. This was the washer Bowen Refrigeration took 2 1/2 weeks to deem "beyond repair."

+ -1 moreHe came on time and did repair the defect with used parts and I was fine with him using those parts, but felt the price of the used parts were excessive at $200. He was a very easy going guy , I do feel he was knowledgeable and he did fix the machine with one trip.. I also thought the service charges was a bit too much considering I was charged $95. for the first 30 minutes and an additional charge of $72 for 45 minutes past the half hour. He walked away from his work to started lengthy conversations off the topic of the repairs.

As the cost was very high (major repair needed), and the unit was already 10 years old, we decided to get a new machine. He didn't try to talk us into the expensive repair. We felt he was professional and thorough.

+ -1 moreWe called the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. We were not expecting a service call the same day. We were pleasantly surprised they were able to come that evening. We were fortunate to get the owner as our tech. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions. He inquired how our experience was calling his office. He wanted to know if the phone prompts were helpful, and if his staff was pleasant, which they were. You can tell he really cares about his business and his customers. He had the part for our washer on his truck. He told us he carries many commonly needed parts on his truck. He showed us exactly what was wrong and how he fixed it. I have not been this impressed by any kind of service provider in many years. He even gave us advice on top loading washers verses the newer front loading machines. You could not beat the price either, especially considering the same day service.

I had had problems before with other appliance repairmen in the past, but I liked what people had to say about Rudolph's so I called them when my washer stopped working. Ryan came out the same day. I was very impressed with his work and demeanor. He worked quickly and efficiently. He showed me the broken parts and explained the problems. He told me the pros and cons of fixing rather than replacing the appliances and advised me to check online. He came to the house four times with parts he had to order. I was charged the service call only for the first visit and that included a discount for using Angie's List. After that, he only charged the hourly rate. Ryan answered all my questions and I actually learned a lot, especially regarding the amount of detergent and fabric softener to use. I will definitely use Rudolph's again and have recommended them to friends. While my total bill was $840, $485 of that was for parts. I feel I got my money's worth.
Description of Work: Our dishwasher and stove are 16 years old. The refrigerator and washer are 11 years old. Everything seemed to break at once although I realize now that I had ignored signs that things were starting to go bad. The dishwasher started to leak. Ryan, the repairman, replaced the door gasket and 2 corner gaskets. After a week of using it, the motor/pump started to leak and that had to be replaced. The upper element in the oven stopped working. He checked but it turned out to be the circuit board which isn't made anymore so I need a new stove. Our front loading washer stopped spinning. It needed a new drain pump. The freezer would freeze ice okay, but left ice cream too soft. Ryan took a panel off the back of the fridge and spent a lot of time vacuuming and cleaning the motor, something that I now know is supposed to be done every year or two. The icemaker had started to leak too so we had turned it off. Ryan replaced the water valve on the ice maker. The icemaker didn't start immediately like it should have,but he advised me not to replace it yet, that we should wait and see if it would start. Low and behold, a couple hours later, I heard the ice drop.

He was very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose the problem quickly and already had a spare heating element in his truck to do the repair immediately. Their base service call price is a bit on the high side but the professionalism and efficiency with which my problem was resolved made it less of an issue. Overall, a good experience with Rudolph's.

+ -1 moreRyan was wonderful as was Sarah (their scheduler), always very courteous and professional. Ryan is very thorough and wants to make sure everything is working perfectly. My refrigerator was leaking water and it needed a line replaced. The same line had broken twice in the past two years due to heat exposure. The line had been repaired by other service companies in the past. Thankfully, Ryan noticed the fan was struggling to keep up, so checked and found the fan motor could be replaced for a minimal amount, saving me future line reairs from overeheating. Ryan was able to repair my pop-up vent, so I didn't have to replace it, saving me a lot of money in replacement cost. I only had to pay for a few parts and labor.
Description of Work: Repaired and installed parts for both my refrigerator and pop up vent for my gas range.

+ 0 moreI saved some money cleaning the waxy like substance (fabric softener abuse) myself on the washing machine adgitator assembly while Mr. Ron Rudolph (the business owner himself) worked on some problems I was having on my matching dryer. We were chatting about this and that the entire time and it never slowed either of us as we were busy at our own specific chores. I was very pleased with his work and professionalism and would refer him to anyone.
Description of Work: Removed washing machine adgitator assembly to find a missing piece of jewelry. No jewelry was found, but what was found was an over abundance of fabric softener abuse. Mr. Ron Rudolph (the business owner himself) worked on some problems I was having on my matching dryer. He recommended before I start doing a lot of laundry, to have my dryer duct cleaned out to prevent (1) the components he installed to be warrantied, and (2) it could cause a fire. The weather and a very high pitched roof has held off the duct cleaning so far. Ron was going to contact me on Monday to schedule an appointment.

We waited for him all day Wednesday but heard nothing from him. He called Thursday afternoon. By this time, we had used another repairman to fix the machine.

+ 0 moreMr. Rudolph arrived on time in a clean vehicle with the company logo and business details on it. He was very courteous and proceeded to diagnose the problem with the dryer. Once the problem was determined (a blocked vent) he proceeded to work for the next two hours cleaning it from the roof to the back of the dryer. All the work was professionally done and he cleaned all areas upon completion of the job. Although his pricing is a tad above others for this type of repair, I think it was worth every penny. I repeat, worth every penny. I would have him back doing work for me in a second. I highly recommend this contractor.

+ -1 moreRepairman was professional, courteous, punctual and efficient. He did good quality work, but I felt that for the amount of time spent on the job, it was a little pricey. I would use them again, but would consider other service providers who had as professional quality work for less price (if that exists). Now my dryer works and I can actually get ice out of the door of my fridge! Overall, Rudolph's Appliance Center does good quality work and I am pleased.
Description of Work: Fixed dryer that had a clothing item wedged in it. Charged ~$125 to remove item and reportedly had to disassemble the dryer to remove it, spent about 45 minutes on repair (no parts replaced). Repaired ice maker (flap that delivered ice through door) for ~$101; spent ~1 hour total (replaced one part).

I was contacted later that day by a manager who informed me of when the technician would be in my area and that the technician would be contacting me to verify location and time. This took place as I was told, the technician arrived and within approximately 20 minutes he was through and departing. The technician was very professional, polite, neat and efficient. If I had ten thumbs I would give this experience a ten thumbs up rating!!

The woman who answered the phone was very helpful and gave my information to a technician named Ryan, who called me within a few hours to set up an appointment. I wasn't able to keep the original time of the appointment due to a conflict at work, but Ryan worked with me to extend the time. He arrived at my house within a few minutes of me telling him I was home. He checked out the dryer and determined that something (perhaps a rock) had jammed up the dryer and prevented it from turning on. He only charged me half of the service call, which was wonderful. Ryan also gave me some tips to keep the dryer running better, such as replacing the vent tube which was pretty old and damaged. I recommend Rudolph's Appliance Service Center without reservation and will be calling them in the future should the need arise.

+ -1 moreRyan could have easily convinced me to try the fix.... I LOVED my old washer. It was hard to hear that it just wasn't fixable. But I knew, deep down, that he was right. Ryan didn't charge me anything for the service call, even though he spent about 30 minutes checking my machine. That's how I knew he really stood by his advice. I will definitely use this company again. Ryan is trustworthy. That's a rare gem these days!
Description of Work: Ryan came to my house, took a look at my clothes washer, listened carefully to what was wrong & what another company had already told me & also what work the other company had already performed & had said was needed to complete repairs. Since my washer was 10 years old, he was quite honest in his assessment & said that he could probably do the work but it would probably take about 8 hours (the entire machine had to be disassembled & then reassembled) & might not actually correct the leak. He said for the cost of the repair I'd be much better off buying a new washer. I went with the new washer option.
