I cannot thank Pro Renovations enough for everything that they have helped me with!!! I spent months and months trying to configure a floor plan that I thought would work for me. No matter which way I put it, I just couldn't get this exactly right - either the appliances in my kitchen weren't making sense or my?living room space just wasn't functional. Eventually I came to the point where I just knew I needed help and couldn't do this alone. That was when I called Simon. We started with the floor plan and we covered just about everything from architectural drawings, framing, structural manipulations, sketches, schematics and building plans. Once we completed those steps and permits were pulled, we talked about a little interior design, painting, new trim work, cabinetry in the kitchen area, color schemes, plumbing lines being moved, water heaters, attic space, installing footers beneath our poorly structured home (before Pro Renovations made the required adjustments to bring it to code.) Everyone showed up every day, on time and protected every piece of my furniture. I had no problem trusting everyone in this company with a key to my home and knowing everything would be taken care of?with the utmost respect.? I loved the fact that I could go to work everyday and carry on knowing I was doing what I needed to do while everything else was being taken care of at home as well. There is no way I would have been able to do all of this work by myself, how I thought I could complete this as a simple "DIY Project" I have no idea. Being as I had an older home we also came into many other issues with the structure of our home. How this home passed inspections from the original builder - I will never know, but I have no doubt now that my house will ever have any structural issues and that everything has been brought to code and has been safely corrected. I am thrilled with all of our updates and all of the work completed and love every updated part of this house. Since this project I have already called Pro Renovations for several other projects ( for work use and exterior work to my home included) and i will continue to use this company for years to come on any and all of my projects! I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy and respectable General Contracting company within the area.

Everyone one in the company is fantastic. I worked closest with Russell. He showed up on time and early every morning (i.e., about 8:30am) and worked within my timeframe to complete the work as expeditiously as possible. I even received a call from Simon, the owner of the company. He personably called to check on the status of the work and confirm my satisfaction with the workmanship and detail. Lastly, Sophie was a great help with sending timely invoices and working with me to place charges on my credit card when needed. I know the company consists of more people than mentioned in this post, and for those of you not mentioned by name, I want to thank you too for helping me with this project.

We had planned on using Pro Renovations to do some renovations at our rental property, and before we got the work scheduled the water heater malfunctioned and caused water to flow from the upstairs through the ceiling into the downstairs. The water damage was discovered on a Sunday and Simon, Matthew and Cody came to the house an hour after we called Simon. They figured out the source of the leak, stopped the leak from causing any more damage, and tore out all the wet ceiling and walls to begin the drying process. They took what was a very stressful situation and completely put our minds at ease. Because Pro Renovations would be repairing all the water damage we decided to go ahead and move forward with the planned renovation project at the same time. They renovated our bathroom, tearing out the existing tube/shower and linen closet, and installing a custom walk-in shower and linen closet. The shower turned out absolutely beautiful and has transformed the bathroom from a dark dingy space to bright and beautiful space. Matthew custom made the new linen closet doors to fit with the existing style of house. Simon worked as the general contractor, coordinating and overseeing the plumbing and electrical work. It is obvious that they are very conscious of what subcontractors charge for their work and if they are qualified. Simon contacted me throughout the project if he anticipated that a subcontractor would be spending more time than estimated, or charging more than estimated. Keeping the project on budget was a priority for Simon. We were so happy with the quality of the work and the professionalism of everyone at Pro Renovations. I have used them over the years for many projects both at my home and rental property, and have never been disappointed. I recommend to everyone and will continue to used them for all future renovation projects.

We would definitely all Pro Renovations again for any major repair or remodeling work. The ceiling repair was excellent quality; unanble to see there was ever any issue. Also,Simon, went above and beyond to help us obtain excellent HVAC and Roofing companies for additional work we required.

Smoothly and to great satisfaction

My wife and I couldn't be happier with the work performed. We picked this company because of their thorough estimate, timeliness when responding to questions, and professionalism. Our shower leaked badly due to the previous owners improperly installing the shower pan. It was awful. Extensive water damage to the subfloor that leaked down into the living room. Pro Renovations stayed on budget, showed up on time, and completed the work exactly on time. Any time we had questions, we called the office and received an immediate response. I have yet to find a flaw in the work. In addition, the crew was courteous and respectful of our home. I work nights and sleep all day, but I was never once disturbed. I will be hiring them for future work and will recommend them to family and friends.

One of the best remodeling experiences ever! We had planned on redoing one bathroom, but Inspired by the knowledge and good advice provided by company representative Simon Phillips, we elected to remodel both bathrooms at the same time. That meant we had two crews, one led by Russell Hester, the other by Tony Phillips. Both were extremely capable, thorough, and efficient. They asked lots of questions about our preferences: tile layout, vanity placement, grout colors, etc. We, in turn, asked for their opinions and ideas, given their extensive remodeling experience. They know as much about design--what works, what doesn?t--as any designer. Tearing up old bathrooms is messy. The crews were meticulous, to the point of taping down plastic and paper on the hardwood floors. All debris was hauled away promptly, work areas left spotless, and the garage swept clean. Cost noted above was labor only. It included the subcontracted plumber and shower-door manufacturer/installer, equally capable tradesmen. Materials were our responsibility. If anything went wrong, it was with materials that failed to arrive on a timely basis or arrived damaged. Russell and Tony rolled with it. No stress. When you have workers in your home for days on end, it's important that you like them. We did. Each and every member of the company went above and beyond on all levels. Both bathrooms were completed in slightly more than two weeks. A revisit was required for a late-arriving vanity top. It's worth noting that the one contractor with whom I spoke prior to meeting Mr. Phillips needed three weeks to do one bathroom...and, worse, was ready to start tearing up before tile and plumbing gear was on site. Not a good thing. With any project that comes along, large or small, I will call Simon Phillips first and happily wait until staff is available to do the job.

I got my crown molding done with these guys. The two men who did the work were very polite and efficient. They arrived on time and were respectful of my home. I would hire them again for any task and tell anyone who will listen to hire them.

ProTile Renovations LTD CO lived up to my expectations as a first class company who does the work correctly the first time. The 2 techs Matthew Phillips and Russell Hester installed 4x4 PVC Posts, Handrails and Balusters. The Post were mounted using 4x4 treated lumber and then the PVC covered the Posts. Handrails and everything else had steel or aluminum inside PVC providing strength. My porch looks awesome now and I no longer have to worry about rust or maintenance. Matthew and Russell were prompt, professional and displayed a very high work ethic. They carried off the excess materials leaving the work area spotless. I highly recommend this company including the owner and office manager named Sophie. I believe I got my money's worth.

I have been trying to do a number of renovations on my house and contacted a number of vendors. Some never returned calls, some showed up and never estimated, some showed up estimated and never showed up to work. Finally I found Phillips. They really listened to what I wanted, gave great suggestions for alternate ways to do things that would save me money. They gave me design suggestions I had not considered and more. I thought the estimate when I got it was more than fair but once the work started I realized I was getting a lot more value than I thought. THESE GUYS ARE PROS. They showed up the first day like they said they would at the time they said they would and did the same every day after until the job was done. They contacted me along the way making sure I was happy and asking extra questions to ensure my long term happiness, not with them, but with the project. If that was not enough my contact (and company owner?) Simon identified a problem with my A/C based on some dripping outside the house, ran out to buy a part to fix it and probably saved me from a huge water problem in my attic. I am so impressed with these guys it almost pains me to leave the review. I have a lot more work to do and I want to keep them for myself.

We had tile work done at our vacation home while we were up north. Naturally, not being on site to manage, we were a tad apprehensive. But the rooms looks unbelievable. Ask Simon for pictures. I have used Simon for a couple of other larger projects in this past year, and I can heartily recommend him for any project you have.

They are the best and I would not use anyone else! The job was scheduled promptly, they showed up when scheduled and completed the job timely. The work was very well done and they were very careful to minimize disruptions to the household when doing the work.

When I need something done, I turn right to Simon and Protile. I wanted to build myself a shed, but I didn't want to go through the terrible process of trying to level a base for it - I just wanted a large slab of concrete to work on. (10ft by 10ft). I also had a space under the back stairs that I wanted to park bikes on and keep weeds from growing, so we decided to add a second slab. It was closer to 11 by 8. In addition, my porch stairs were made of concrete. Several years of neglect by the previous owners had cause large hunks of the stairs to fall off and lots of cracks. I was unwilling to replace the stairs because I have tentative plans to replace the entire porch in the future. But I was tired of tripping on my way to the front door. I asked Simon if he thought we could repair them since we had concrete coming. He warned that nothing was going to make them look like new, but we could fix the holes. The boys drove some rebar into the old stairs and filled in the big holes and let that cure. Then the next day they came out to pour the slabs and smooth out the stairs. It was nearly a hundred outside that day. I went to work in the morning and didn't get back to the house until nearly seven - imagine my surprise to find everybody still there! Including Simon and Kay, his wife. They spent hours making sure the heat didn't crack my concrete slabs, kept it wet and kept smoothing and smoothing. The stairs looked AMAZING. Even Simon couldn't believe how well they turned out. With a nice coat of paint they WILL look new, despite our fears. Both slabs turned out perfect. Tony, one of the boys, goes entirely OCD on his projects and nearly had a heart attack when I told him I was going to stick my hand in the concrete before it dried. (I didn't, I couldn't do that to him.) I couldn't be happier with all three projects. In addition, Simon asked if I had any need for the left over bucket of concrete - he said it would be useless in a few hours. In fact, I had been gathering supplies to make stepping stones for my garden and I got right to it, and we made six stones out of the left overs. Everybody cleaned up, and that was a huge project alone - that's a lot of concrete - but even though it was so late in the day they cleaned everything before they left. I trust Simon and everybody at ProTile completely and totally. If there is something they can't do or think they can't do well enough or cost efficiently, he will tell you straight out. They will do everything to help keep cost down and they really care. I couldn't recommend them enough. Now I need them to come put a roof on the shed I built :)

Simon is awesome! He returned my call in a very short period of time and an appointment was scheduled for a few days later when it worked into my schedule. Simon came to our home and gave an estimate for a temporary fix for a large remodeling job to be done at a future date. He looked at our home and gave us a lot of very valuable information on what needs to be done. We are looking forward to working with Simon and his team on the remodeling of our home!

They took the time to go to the store on more than one occasion to help us pick out tile and material needed to get the job done. I sent them a picture of what I wanted and when the job was finished it looked almost the same. They did a great job.

Simon and his crew are simply outstanding! He always returns emails and phone calls promptly, which we love. The crew showed up early to complete the floor. The job took exactly the amount of time Simon had estimated, and the end result looks amazing! During the initial walk through, Simon gave us advice on the install. In particular, he advised we should wait to select a back splash tile until the floor and counters were done. This was excellent advice and we appreciated his perspective. The crew was extremely professional, and Simon came at the end of the job to ensure everything was done to our satisfaction. I HIGHLY recommend ProTile.

I cannot say enough good things about Simon and his crew. I am a young woman that took on a huge project. I bought a two unit old Victorian (102 years old) house that needed an entire re-haul. I spent the past six months renovating the first unit and then moved into it. I struggled constantly with learning to do things myself, and hiring specialists that always failed to show up or call back to do what I could not do (plumbing, gas, major electric). Once I moved into the finished unit, I decided to bring a contractor in for the second unit. The sooner it was done, the sooner I could be making money from tenants. I brought Protile in to start on my bathroom remodel, which included some very strange structure problems happening under the house. Simon wrote me up an estimate, and was very careful to leave a lot of room for what we would discover under the floor. It was very hard to give up control to somebody else, but Simon worked with me on the estimate. To save money, he let me take out anything I wanted to do on my own, like the painting and molding and finish work. He was very understanding and helpful in working within my budget. They were ready to start the NEXT WEEK! - trust me when I say this was a shock to me, I've had to wait weeks and weeks to get into a schedule with contractors. We ripped the out the whole bathroom, and while they were demo-ing they went ahead and demo-ed my kitchen for me as well, even though I hadn?t contracted them for that (yet). Once we ripped out the floor, we discovered a lot of damage underneath. Simon came to me and let me know that he could not, in good conscious, build me a bathroom without somebody coming in to put a beam under it. Otherwise it would sink, all of the tile we put in would crack, and nothing would be supporting the new tub. Jacking up the house and putting a new beam in is (currently) outside of Protile's abilities due to the correct licenses. Simon, bless his heart, found me another contractor - he spent his time contacting other people, collected estimates, didn't like the first estimate he got, found another estimate, and gave me all the info to have a builder come in and fix the structure. He could have said, ?get it fixed, call us back when it's done?. He honestly wanted to help me. He saved me weeks of work. Pretty early on in the project I decided to let Protile do the kitchen reno as well. Simon very quickly expanded the scope of the project, wrote me a second estimate, and started incorporating the two projects to save on money and time. (Bring out the electrician once for both rooms, have the plumber work on both). I already had my cabinets ordered, and when I called the company to have them installed, they were booked out almost a month. Simon asked me what the install cost was, and promised to match it and install them for me that same week so our renovations were not held up that long. Being an old house, we hit a lot of problems along the way. Pipes in weird places, the floor sinking, outlets inside the shower - Simon did everything he could to keep everything on budget - I swear he was more conscious of it than I was! He donated supplies to the project that were left over from his past jobs, used supplies I had left over from my previous renovation to save on cost, and when we hit a snag that held up work for one reason or another, he always had the boys move and work on another part of the project so there were no wasted hours. But honestly, the best part about working with Simon and Protile has been the communication. I work in management at a bank, and my time during the day is very uncompromising. Simon has met me on weekends and evenings, and he keeps me posted during the day with phone calls, emails, and text messages. I never worry about what is going on at the house. I came home every day to see a huge jump in progress. Tony and the boys on site are always polite and sweet, they always clean up, and they ALWAYS lock up when they leave. As of now, everything is done but we are waiting for countertops and the tub to be delivered. Once that finishing touch is placed I will add pictures. The cost was amazing, less than I spent trying to piecemeal the first renovation. The people (Simon and Tony especially) are amazing, people you want to know and feel comfortable handing your keys. The whole thing took less than a month, even waiting for the tub to come in! I have already started to schedule them for more jobs (haha sorry Simon, I have a laundry list!) and will recommend them to everybody I meet. It's so wonderful to have a contractor that you are going to invite to your house warming party!

It went well. The repair was difficult (unforeseen problems) but they kept at it, and got it back together like new. The owner answered my calls in a timely manner and helped me with a job that no one else wanted to do.

We called Protile on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 and our call was returned within 30 minutes. We scheduled a meeting the next morning @ 10 am. Simon was prompt and gave us an estimate. We agreed and Kay came out Thursday morning to perform the work. She was 15 minutes early and promptly started work removing the old caulk. She was an exceptional worker and person and finished the job around noon. She mentioned that some of the caulk might shrink, and if so, give her a call and she would return to apply a second layer as needed. Sure enough, there was some shrinkage and we called Kay. She was back Monday and re-caulked the area where it was needed. She and my wife shared some cleaning tips which will help keep the shower clean. We will definitely keep this contractor's number in our file.

When I called them for 1st time, I was told to expect an can within 1 hour 15 minutes the call came in. When they say something, they mean it. The work was completed on time and we have been very pleased - excellent.

Simon is absolutely the most thorough contractor that we have dealt with. He reminded me of the rule check twice, cut once....he checked measurements and rechecked. We were most pleased with his precision and attention to detail. He presented us with numerous options and avenues to follow and then left it up to us to decide. It was nice to have his guidance and experience to help us through the renovation of the bathroom. He accompanied us to pick out the tile and spent a great deal of time working with us on this project even before we started the renovation. His expertise made me totally comfortable about the renovation.
