If I could give them zero stars, I would. This company has some of the poorest customer service I've experienced in a long time. They don't call you back despite saying they will. You must continuously call them. They don't want to hear the customer frustrations, they simply make every excuse as to why "you're being unreasonable". They continuously cut you off when you're speaking. I can go on and on, but I think the point about their customer service is made. Our specific issues began when we purchased a pool from them in May and were told it would be installed by the end of July but that they couldn't give an exact date yet until it was in their system. I called back a week later and was told the date would be July 21st. I called again in late May to make sure everything was still on track for July due to the amount of rain we have had and was told that, yes, everything was still on track for July. Around the last week of June I called again to make sure everything was still on track and to see if I could get a time they would arrive on the 21st. I was told everything was on track but that they didn't give an exact time until the week of the install. I called again on the 10th of July (approximately 1 week before the scheduled install) and was told they would call me back by the end of the day. An hour before closing, I still had not received a call so I called them back and was told the lady had left for the day and would have to call me on Monday (13th of July). I waited until noon on the 13th of July and still had not received a call so I called them only to be told that our pool hadn't come in yet and they'd been having troubles getting pools in. I said they had until the 21st for us to have a pool or a refund and she said okay. I called back today to ask the status of the pool and was informed that they only recently started getting pools in again after a little over two months of not getting any in. She thought they "might" get ours in by the 31st of July but that it would be at least 2 1/2 weeks after that before the pool would be installed due to their backlog. I said at this point I want a refund then because we have been lied to through this entire process. She then informs me that "that's fine, but there will be a 15% restocking fee". This is not acceptable when the company has lied to us and demonstrated exceptionally poor customer service practices since day 1. We are not cancelling the order due to a change in date, we are cancelling the order due to the lies! Additionally, upon review of the contract, it states that "if for any reason that the swimming pool can not be installed and we Pride Pools are not notified in advance before the installers arrive not only will there by the above fee there will also be a restocking fee of 20% for the swimming pool, liner and if anything else has been special ordered." NO WHERE does the contract state there is a restocking fee if they haven't received the stock and, per Kelly on my conversation today, they still have not received the stock. In addition, it states that the fee is if you don't call in advanced and the installers arrive... UPDATE: I was called by Kelly and informed that they would "make a deal with me", if I would delete my Yelp review they would refund my money in full. I informed her that I don't like bullies and know my rights as a consumer and that they would refund my money in full or I would get an attorney involved and they would end up paying more to me and the attorney than I paid for the pool. She then said that she is not trying to bully me into doing anything and that they would refund my money in full and were simply asking that I delete the review. She told me I must go in to the store tomorrow for them to refund the money to my card. We shall see how that goes. FINAL UPDATE: I drove to their store today as requested to get my refund. When I got there, I was told for an associate that I would have to wait for her manager to arrive and that they would be there in about 5 minutes. 10 minutes later, the manager arrived and they tried, again, to say there would be fees for the refund. I told them they could refund my money in full or they would hear from my attorney. The store manager then decided to get argumentative with me trying to goad me into being confrontational by acting like I was getting loud with her until I informed her I was recording the entire encounter. She then changed her tune and told me she would have to contact someone for approval. She made a quiet phone call that neither I nor my recording device could pick up and then said that she was told to refund my money in full. Overall, this company is overpriced, deceptive, and unethical in their practices. Don't waste your time or money with them!

The final offer from Pride was that they would pay half of the 2,000 dollars to fix the problem. I could not accept that because the problem was identified within the warranty period. I felt that I had paid for a Kool deck that would last several years not 6 months. I contacted the BBB and that was a waste of time. Pride played me just enough to get me out of the warranty period which I thought was pretty slick. This is really a shame because the rest of the pool is wonderful. If they had fixed this one issue I would have remained a loyal customer for life. I guess their reputation is not worth the 2k it would have cost to fix the problem.
Description of Work: Pride installed an in ground pool for us and it was all very nicely done. Then 3-6 months after the installation the Kool deck began to crumble and crack in a 12' area. I called them and they said lets wait and see if it becomes an issue. A few months latter it got a whole lot worse. I called again and they came out and patched about half of the area and said it would be fine. Since then the entire area of Kool deck has lifted from the slab, exposing bare concrete. In the following 2 years the problem has become progressively worse and now looks horrible.

Description of Work: We had just moved in Easter weekend and knew there was some pool issues. I called Pride pools for an estimate in April. The estimate was for approximately $5,200.00 to repair some walls of my pool and to replace the liner. Tommy told me to cut the liner away to get a better look at the walls to confirm how many panels, which were plywood by the way, would need to be repaired. After I cut the liner away he came out and looked. He saw three panel that were away from the framing, he said it would cost me $150.00 an hour to repair these panels. We secured a load for $8,000.00 "just in case". After we got the ok for the loan he ordered the liner, stating that he was ordering it by his measurements. He never stepped inside my pool. I called several times to check on the status of the liner and was always just told it's not in yet. Finally the end of June "it arrived". If a job in another town worked out then they could get to me the week of June 30th. Probably July 2nd. I had not heard from them so I called that afternoon to confirm the appointment, they would have to find out. They told me I would have to be there and the job would take 2 days. At 5:30 that afternoon I had not heard anything so I called back. The service crew was gone for the day but they would call in the morning generally 2 hrs. before they would arrive. I told the young lady that I needed to know something so I can take the time off and I had to be at work at 7 in the morning. She still insisted they would call in the morning. I argued that I had to let my boss know something that evening. She still insisted so I told her that it was not acceptable and to cancel the job. She told me to hold on. Shortly, she said someone would call me back. Tommy called me around 5:30 telling me the job did not go well. We need to reschedule(I had hoped to have a pool for my birthday...June 14th, the 4th of July would have been nice.) |We rescheduled for the following week, I told him that I had to work on Monday and Tuesday, he said he would call me. Finally I did actually get a call, (I did not have to call). They could come do my pool on Monday and Tuesday, "No I can not be there on Monday and Tuesday" Ok Wednesday, Yes. I could not get Wednesday off either asked to reschedule on Thursday and Friday, "That's fine". I take the time off. |Thursday July 11th I get a call from Bobby stating they would be here by 9:00 am. They arrived about 9:15 expecting to do a liner replacement. They were also schedule to do another job that afternoon and another one the next day. I told them that if they could not get to me then we may as well cancel. They called Tommy, who came out to look, he did not remember that one of the panels was rotted thru, only about a foot and half square. Bobby and his helper had to go get material to work with, they made it back around 11:15. I was still thinking that I am paying by the hour so I start the time then because I was assured by Bobby that the job did not start until they were working on the pool. As Bobby starts and begins to see the damage he tells me that it cost $500.00 a panel to repack the dirt behind it and if they have to repair any of the framing then it's $800.00 a panel plus $150.00 per hour. WHAT....they had me cut away the liner weeks ago, I have 10 panels and almost all of them have dirt that has washed under them. (of course we did have an evening that we had over 5 inches of rain and had I not cut the liner away (which they told me to do) the damage would not have been as bad. I am still hanging in there, I would like to have my pool repaired, at this point I am praying that we will not exceed the $8,000.00 limit. |I called to talk to the owner, he calls me back several hours later. I suggested that he coach Tommy about scheduling and confirming appointments. If the other job was scheduled like mine then I understood why it did not go well. He reassured me that they knew what they were doing. Bobby and his helper did 2 panels and repaired a pipe. They left at around 5:00, maybe a little after. |Friday morning I was expecting to see the crew a little early, to beat the sun and heat a little. No show. I waited until around 9:30 before I called. Alex (the Owner)came to the phone, telling me that he had just found out that Bobby had hurt his back the day before and could not come in. He had no one else to send. I explained that if it rained all of their work would be in vain. I also stated that had he called me earlier that I could have gone to work and not wasted that day off. He made no apology for my inconvenience. No one could come on Saturday either, they would be there Monday, But I don't have anymore time off that I can take. |After thinking about it all weekend and talking about it with my husband we decided that we would not allow them to do the job. We already had concrete settling and just did not think thy would re-pull the panels they had done previously to repack what had washed out over the weekend. Nor did we feel comfortable for them to even show up. |I received a phone call from Alex stating that he expected payment for the six hours of work, never did he try to make it right. Never did he acknowledge my loss or inconvenience. Two weeks later Tommy calls telling me that he just returned after surgery and he would like to follow through with the job and again no one ever offered to help with my inconvenience or loss. They only wanted to try to recoup their loss but to h with mine. Today I received a bill for just shy of $2,300.00 and I am worse off than when I started. I went with them because they were the people who put the pool in originally and had replaced the liner twice. They talk a good talk but their professionalism and customer service is lacking when it comes to pool repair. Also the plywood framing is definitely subpar. | |I was hoping to get a pool up and running for the boys this summer. School starts Monday. The bill they sent included a custom liner, but everyone on the internet offers a 14 x 28 pool with the same depths as ours and the prices begin at $800.00.

Description of Work: Although the tech was pleasant enough, he "failed to notice" part of the pump needed to be replaced after working on it for hours. When he came back the next day to replace the part we were charged for a whole hour, despite having agreed on the phone to a discounted rate. We still had problems with the pump only to, less than a year later, seek out another company to come look at it. The part that had been replaced needed to be replaced again, and the pump itself was so full of algae there was no way it had been properly cleaned while they were changing the sand the year before. Very disappointed all the way around and I would not recommend them to anyone.

There was a delay in getting the new liner installed because the liner came in from the manufacturer 4' too short. Pride Pool had taken the measurements correctly, so it was not their fault. After the discovery of the liner being too short, we had a perfect new liner installed within 8 days. Installers were professional, friendly and cleaned up everything nicely. 2 very nice young men.
Description of Work: Removed old liner, cleaned the pool and installed new liner.

Six months after installation, the yard washed out exposing the exterior side of the pool (which was supposed to be buried in the ground). The deck began to crack all over--clumps of the sides fell into the pool. Also, the deck wasn't laid evenly and now creates a pooling effect by the back door. I contacted Pride Pools and it was explained that the washing out was a and quot;landscapingand quot; issue that they did not create nor was their responsibility. They further stated the concrete cracking was a and quot;naturaland quot; process. Not after 6 months! Over the past four months, I have only been able to get them to fill in the dirt that washed out. They have been completely unresponsive and denied responsibility for their faulty work. I've filed a complaint with the BBB which was pointless. I am now filing a civil lawsuit against them to at least fix the concrete. I am shocked that this company has such a stellar reputation within the local community considering their total lack of professionalism. Installing a pool is a huge investment and as customer, you deserve the best company to do to the job. This isn't the one for you.
Description of Work: During the initial phase of installation of my in ground pool, they were responsive, professional, and knowledgeable. They installed a 11x21 in ground pool and poured a custom deck to my specifications. It was custom work, but nothing out of the ordinary. I was initially pleased with the outcome and felt that I had chosen the right company.

The home we live in is a rental, it has a soft sided hot tub that the previous tenants had not taken care of. My husband and I know nothing about them and had questions as to how to even know if it is working properly. They answered all of our questions and even tried to hunt down a lid for the tub (the model is no longer made).Very nice group of people. We had two or three people giving us advise on how to clean and get the tub in working order.
Description of Work: Gave us quotes to have a technician come out for repairs. Offered advise.

The salesperson was very knowledgable about the product and was able to give me a price that was within my budget. She explained all about how to take care of my pool water and how important it is to keep my water balanced. The pool was installed in one day. The installers were on time and did a great job. I was so impressed with the way they cleaned up. They were very thorough and seemed to take pride in their work. The pool looks beautiful!
