He started in September and its the end of July and he hasn't finished. The owner is dragging his feet. His employee who is doing the job is great but the owner keeps grabbing him to go to other jobs. The employee is very nice and creative. Before the work started he told me he had a fine of $500 owed to the city. He said it was an incidental and couldn't start on the apartment until he paid that. There was money given to the city to pay for this standing infraction. He measured everything and we went to Home Depot to pick out the fridge, stove, sink, cabinets, and counter tops. The space of the refrigerator was measured wrong by Mr. Peterson and we were able to get it in but looks terrible because it sticks out. We had a meeting in a public place and he was very demanding. He wanted the money up front and I told him he has to finish before I will give him more money. He won't answer his phone.
Description of Work: He is in the process of remodeling an apartment that I'm going to rent out.

INSTALL UPPER CABINETS IN KITCHEN ALL THIS LABOR AND MATERIALS ADD UP, WE ARE NOT A CHARITAL CONTRIBUTION COMPANY. FINALLY, NOW THAT WE ARE AT THE END [MEMBER] CONTINUES TO ADD THINGS ON. AND EXPECTING ME TO PAY FOR IT. EXAMPLES CAMODE, SHE SAID GET A STANDARD TOILET THAT IS WHAT SHE GOT. NOW SHE DOES NOT LIKE IT, AND WANTS ME TO REPLACE IT. WINDOWS REPLACED BROKEN PAYNES. NEVER DISCUSSED BEFORE ADD SHOWER HEAD, WE AGREED EARLIER THAT IT WOULD COST TO MUCH AND NOT TO DO IT. NOW AFTER EVERYTHING IS TILED SHE WANTS A SHOWER HEAD. SHE CONSISTANTLY HELD OVER MY HEAD THAT I WILL NOT GET PAID OR REMOVE ANGIES LIST COMMENTS UNTIL I COMPLETE THESE ITEMS. AS YOU CAN SEE I AM AT OVERALL PROJECT COST OF 28,245.00 SHE ONLY MADE A 15,000.00 DEPOSIT WE HAD AGREED TO A CAP OF 23,500.00 AT MID TERM OF PROJECT, ONCE SHE HAD ME LOCKED IN TO PRICE SHE CONTINUE TO ADD THINGS, PLUS REQUEST HIGH ITEM MATERIALS SUCH AS FLOORING/ TILE IN THE KITCHEN AND BACKSPLASH/TILE BATHROOM WALLS. WHEN WE ORIGINALLY STARTED PROJECT WE NOTICED THE FLOOR JOIST WERE BROKEN AND ROTTEN. SO THE CONDO ASSOCIATION HAD TO GET QUOTES TO REPAIR THE FLOORS/ JOISTS. WE HAD TO WAIT 12 WEEKS BEFORE IT WAS COMPLIED WITH SO WE COULD GET BACK THERE. I HAD ORIGINALL HAD 8 WEEKS BLOCKED OUT FOR THIS PROJECT, BUT COULD NOT GET IN FOR 12 WEEKS. IN THE COURSE OF PROJECT [MEMBER] WAS UNREACHABLE TO MAKE CERTAIN DECISIONS, DUE TO DOCTER VISITS OR JUST NOT FEELING WELL. THIS ADDED PROLONGED TIME OF PROJECT. FINAL COMMENT I COMPLIED WITH EVERYTHING ON ORIGINAL QUOTE, AND ALSO CONTINUED ADD ONS AND EVEN PURCHASING ALL MATERIALS NO MATTER THE COST AND LABOR TO DATE. [MEMBER] FINAL REQUEST REPLACE CAMODE IS UNREASONABLE FIX WINDOW PAYNES, NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY NEVER DISCUSSED ADD SHOWER HEAD , WE AGREED EARLIER NOT TO DO THIS. A very poor job that cost us more to correct dangerous defects.
Description of Work: Mr. Peterson and his men were hired to remove kitchen cabinets, dismantle appliances, plumbing and electrical and install a gas line to a new cooktop.They were also hired to move a 220 electrical line, reinstall plumbing and appliances. Mr. Peterson, the supervisor, was seldom on the job; his workmen who did plumbing and electrical were incompetent because the work was not done to code, the gas line leaked and the dishwasher was installed incorrectly. We had to hire another electrician and plumber to correct the work. To add insult to injury, one workman rummaged through our master bathroom cabinet and stole prescription medication.

IN RESPONSE TO COMMENT LET ME FIRST SAY I WAS HIRED BY (Member name removed) TO DO THIS PROJECT, DO NOT KNOW (Member name removed). I WAS HIRED BY (Member name removed) TO DO DEMO OF KITCHEN AND PREP WALLS FOR INSTALLATION OF NEW CABINETS WHICH SHE ALREADY HAD HIRED SOMEBODY ELSE TO DO THE INSTALL. SHE ACTED AS THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR. SHE HAD A PAINTING CREW THERE , CABINET GUYS THERE AND OF COURCE MY GUYS. IN REGARDS TO MISSING MEDICATION IN CABINET THERE WERE NUMEROUS OTHER WORKERS THRU OUT HOUSE TO SAY 1 OF MY EMPLOYEES WAS RESPONSIBLE IS LUDICROUS. AS FAR DISHWASHER HOOK UP WE DID NOT INSTALL SHE HAD ANOTHER CONTRACTOR HOOK UP BUT OF COURSE SHE FORGETS THIS. AS THE PROJECT WENT ON WE WE WERE ASKED TO QOUTE VARIOUS OTHER JOBS BUT ALWAYS HIRED THE CHEAPEST PERSON. SHE HAD ASKED US TO DO THE GAS LINE KNOWING THAT WE ARE NOT PLUMBERS BUT A CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, AND OUR BILLABLE RATE WAS MUCH CHEAPER THEN A PLUMBERS RATE. MY FORMAN SAID HE COULD DO IT SO HE DID JUST TO ASSIST IN FINALIZING PROJECT. WE NEVER HEARD BACK ON ANY PROBLEMS AND WAS NOT GIVEN ANY CHANCE TO CORRECT ANY PROBLEMS. IN FINAL JUST WANT TO SAY THAT MY GOAL IN EVERY PROJECT THAT WE DO IS TO HAVE A CUSTOMER 100% SATISFIED ANYTHING ELSE IS UNACCEPTABLE. There are here on and off when I need something done and they are here tomorrow. They do smaller things like installing. Their responsiveness was okay, I mean it’s their contracts and what to expect.
Description of Work: I used Peterson Custom Works Inc to build a screen porch for us from scratch and they completely remodeled our kitchen including taking out the wall and ceilings.

Both projects went better than any I'd ever experienced before with other contractors. Timing, personnel, talent & extraordinary results!! They are my "go to" construction company for anything I ever want done in my home, large or small project.
Description of Work: Peterson Custom Works, Inc. just finished a complete kitchen remodel in our home. This was an extensive project including taking out walls, building a large pantry, creating cathedral ceiling, flooring, painting, cabinet and appliance install, lighting, plumbing (including extending plumbing in a slab) The results are outstanding!!! Extraordinary job!! And every worker that was in our home during this project was as professional, personable and caring of our inconvenience as they could have been. Even with changes during the project & a few problems with suppliers we were finished on schedule. This was the second project on our home completed by Peterson Custom Works. In the Fall of 2010 they also built a beautiful screened porch complete with tile floors, gas fireplace and cathedral ceiling for us. Also an extraordinary result. I would recommend Peterson Custom Works to anyone in any area of Savannah for their home projects large & small. I have had numerous remodeling projects done in homes over the years & have never experienced such professionalism and excellent work/results as with Peterson Custom Works.
