Appliance Sale, Appliance Repair
I had a horrible experience with HH Gregg. I will never do business with them again. I bought a Samsung Smart TV which cost $3700. It broke down after a month and it had a melt down. They put a whole new board in it but the problem was it totally destroyed the hard drive that I hooked on to it which I had $2500 in. The worst one was I bought a Samsung French door, $3,000 refrigerator freezer, it broke down in March. I couldn't get it repaired and they just ignored me and sent me to Samsung, Samsung ignored me and I finally, 5 months later, got a replacement. I got a Whirlpool to replace the Samsung. It was defective, they wouldn't fix it, they ignored me, I finally had to call the Corporate Headquarters and tell them that I was going to start selling them short. I also told them I was going to call you.

Appliance Sale
fSo the people in the stores were fine. My beef is with my installers. HHGregg only installs some appliances themselves, and they contract out installations of dishwashers and microwaves (for some reason). The contracting is done through a middle-man company called Installs. Between HHGregg, Installs, and the actual installers I got, you'd think someone would be acting faster to correct a major problem they caused.
Our water was off on installation day. They guys said it wasn't a problem, and we would just be able to turn on the water and everything would work fine. Well when we did get the water on a few days later, the water connection going to the dishwasher blew right off and instead and bringing water to the dishwasher it flooded my kitchen. The water was promptly turned back off and we got up as much as we could, but it was too late to save our laminate floors.
Now accidents happen, and I understand that. But we have been living with rotting floorboards for over a week and the water trapped underneath is just spreading into other rooms while whomever should be handling this twiddles their thumbs. They don't seem to realize that their own procrastination is costing them more money! We are supposedly in the process of filing a claim to get this floor replaced, but I'll believe it when I see it. We have to acquire our own estimates- more headaches for me- and just live with the issues for God knows how long.
I'm considering getting my attorney involved.
On top of all of this, the guys who installed this dishwasher just left the old one in my garage instead of hauling it away. Thankfully HHGregg's normal installers (who did the fridge, range, and laundry machines) took it with them... Although apparently their paperwork said we weren't having things hauled away when we made it clear to our sales associate that it was a delivery AND haul-away job.
Furthermore, calling the stores and trying to communicate with anyone is a huge pain... you have to call a national number before reaching the local store. What sense does that make?
So I don't know if they need to learn to install things themselves or just be more picky about who they work with. But I'll be staying away from HHGregg from now on.
