Description of Work: Was hired to do interior demo,total remodeling and frame work for a house that we bought. Told us that he would be our contractor as far as who to sub with and that he would make sure that all work done was to the correct standard. Told us his charge per day was $1500 plus 10% commission. Were told the $1500 per day was because he himself always worked on your job too (if not then you were charged $1250). He spent most of his time either on the phone or checking/working his other jobs or picking up materials All of his subcontractors that he hired as well as his crew did not do work up to code and did not pass inspection except for the plumber. We had to have the work redone. To really put the icing on the cake, we did not even pass the framing inspection (which is his forte). If you specify that you want something done a certain way to save time and money, when you're not there he will do it his way to make more money. Someone of his crew took a wheelbarrow full of copper wire (that we had explicitly said we wanted), without our permission. Unbeknownst to us, in addition to the daily rate and 10%, he also adds on additional money to all the subcontracting bills. He tells his subcontractors to not talk with the homeowner regarding any charges as he will be the one who talks with homeowners. That is where he adds on another $1000 or more to each subcontractor bill. He also buys supplies for himself that does not apply to your project and charges to you. He claimed that we still owed him several thousand dollars for the job but we had to explain to him that there were materials that he ordered and never used so we could not possibly have that much money to pay him. Told him he needed to return the "extra supplies" first and then we would see if there was any money due him. He is a smooth talker but is unethical and has no interest in the concerns of the owner. Will definitely never use him again nor refer him to anyone.
