He has done a lot of work for my mom and he is doing the roof for me. He is very punctual, he has a good outlook and he is one of the best here in Savannah. I would not recommend him if I wouldn’t give him an all “A.”
Description of Work: I used Gary Smith of Corbritt Construction-Recovery for roofing services.

Awful, horrid, rude owner, rude project manager, inexperienced craftsmen, and in my opinion, insurance job scammers. Everyday we have to look at this mess they have created, mainly with the custom cabinets and countertops, which turned out to be cheaply made "spec" cabinets that we will have to replace most likely in the next few years. Cheapskate materials and horrible businessmen. NEVER again.
Description of Work: Kitchen cabinet & flooring replacements due to slab leak water damage. 1. Laminate flooring installed is noticeably “soft” or hollow in many spots, dropping down or depressing when walked on. Previous laminate flooring had no such defects. 2. Vertical “Bubble” approximately ¼” high in front of center of fireplace (the previous laminate flooring had no such “bubble”, despite claims by the contractor’s crew that there is a “dip” or imperfection in the slab. 3. Wrong thresholds used – threshold from living room to breakfast area / kitchen, and both hall bathrooms is a “baby threshold” so large you trip over them (used to join wood / laminate flooring to carpeted areas) instead of curved reducer strips, used to transition form a higher laminate flooring to a lower flooring surface. 4. Different colors and grains of quarter round moulding used throughout entire laminate flooring area – nothing matches. 5. Splits in quarter round moulding by rear sunroom / hallway. 6. Chips in flooring by hall bathroom / guest bedroom. 7. Chips in flooring by living room / breakfast area entrance. 8. Stain used to color cut ends of quarter round moulding left on white painted trim. 9. End of quarter round (cut end) by bathroom hallway not stained. 10. Stain used to color ends of cut quarter round was taken from homeowner’s shelf in garage and used by contractor’s crew. 11. Multiple “wrong cuts” observed when crew was attempting to lay flooring, causing a number of “cuts” to be re-done. 12. Bad saw miter saw (per the contractor’s crew) used during installation, causing a number of apparent “bad cuts”. 13. Poor cuts with gaps between the door moulding and transition / trim strip in hall bathroom. 14. Visible approximate 1” cut form a “wrong cut” in laminate flooring by bathroom door moulding. 15. Kitchen counter quarter round moulding not nailed in properly – popped off when being painted. 16. Didn’t let glue “set up” when tiles (tiles provided by the homeowners) in kitchen pantry were installed, causing tiles to not be glued down and “bow up”, necessitating the tile be glued in a second time. 17. Crew came unprepared and utilized the homeowner’s tools and equipment – no bleach sprayer – homeowners’ was used. 18. No Saws All to cut down abandoned copper pipes under kitchen cabinets – homeowner’s was used when he (homeowner) cut the pipes. 19. No cordless drill and specialty bits to remove kitchen cabinets- homeowner’s were used. 20. Lack of pencils to mark cuts on wood – homeowner’s were used, and taken, along with a roll of the homeowner’s painter’s tape supplied to the contractor’s crew. 21. No weights or sandbags available to hold glued wood strips in – homeowner’s were used. 22. Contractor’s crew forgot to bring table saw one day – homeowner’s circular power saw was used by two members of the crew to use as a improvised “table saw” – one crew member held the saw upside down and pulled the trigger and kept the blade guard back while the other trimmed a piece of flooring. 23. Upper kitchen wall cabinets (with the exception of a small cabinet above the stove and microwave) were removed and disposed of by the homeowners. 24. Counter top that was removed by contractor’s crew was left behind – removed and disposed of by the homeowner. 25. Dust throughout entire garage – no dust barrier / sheeting put up was saws were used in the garage. ALL OF THE LISTED DEFECTS WERE PHOTOGRAPHED AND VIDEOTAPED BY THE HOMEOWNERS. When the job was so-called "complete" by the project manager, he attempted to bill us for the entire amount that our insurance company said that they would pay without taking into account all of the materials and supplies purchasaed and/or provided by the homeowners. Not to mention the shoddy workmanship, time delays caused by the cintractor, etc. Now three years later, the so called "custom" cabinets are chipped, have gaps in the trim work and the counter tops seams are bubbled. Worst contracting experience of our lives & worst workmanship ever seen from a "professional", (HA!)
