Justin did an awesome job with my yard. He was very professional. He came out measured and quoted me a price. He delivered on-time. No problems. The backyard looks great! Few months later we hired him for regular landscaping services. I highly recommend!

Justin Cook returned my call on a Friday, promising to evaluate my property for yard care. He showed up saturday as promised and provided me a quote for lawn service. Promised that he would be onsite Monday to perform the lawn service. Monday he showed up as promised and got the job done in a timely fashion. I even added a few items that they took care of that day. All in all I think Cook brothers did a fine job. I will be using their service on an ongoing basis.
Description of Work: Cut grass, edged, trimmed hedges, cleared overhanging branches over pool area.

Do Not Pay This Guy!! Hired this company to do a patio paver job. Justin came out to the house did the measurements we told him we wanted a paver patio with a retaining wall seating bench and to round short flower beds. Three sprinklers needed to be moved and a box with the automatic sprinkler valves needed to be moved so it wasn't under the patio. He ordered the materials, sent me the invoice and I paid that company directly. Once the pavers were delivered we set the date to start. He brought over another person prior to the start date that he contracted to do the patio because this person had more experience. The day the job started everyone showed up on time and at the end of day one the job was almost finished. I was concerned about any pressurized water pipes be under the patio Justin assured me there were no pipes under the patio and that he caped one sprinkler that was not needed, moved the other two and he did not move the box with the sprinkler valves that was staying under the patio. I stated I didn't want it like that because if there was leak later I would have to dig up the patio. He assured me it would be ok. I asked if everything was leak checked he said yes no leaks. Day two started the only thing left was the retaining wall and the flower beds he changed what he had told me about the wall placement and was now going to put the retaining wall on top of the patio which would have cost me square footage. I talked to the contractor and he put the wall where I wanted. Time for the flower beds and he had just ordered materials for two square pillar flower pots I told him we wanted round aprox. one and half feet tall so we had to reconfigure and put up two half moon flower beds and he charged me more for this.We had enough materials because He OVER Ordered Material by almost Two Pallets of pavers (that's a lot of money I could have saved). He offered to buy the extra pavers from me for a fraction of the cost I paid. How can someone over order by that much? I decided to keep them. After the job was done there was a lot of sand placed on top of the patio and he stated he would be back with some sod to fix around the edges and to put down more sand. I paid him the final agreed amount and a couple of days later he returned to put down the grass. When I spoke with him I stated there was a lot of broken pavers (he said the contractor would be back to swap out) and one sprinkler he moved need to be moved again because where he put it made no sense and it was watering my house not the grass plus the head needed to be changed. I said I would cover the cost. The sprinkler valves in the box under the patio now that he didn't move was leaking bad. He never leak checked the system now pavers needed to be pulled up but he didn't have time to do it then. No worries just promise me you'll take care of it, he said he would. Week and a half later he digs up the pipes and said its leaking he wanted to try and fix it by slapping some glue on it. I said I wanted it fixed properly there is no way you can put glue on the outside of a pressurized line. He said he would have to come back because he didn't have the parts. Ok. Another week goes by and when he showed up I was not at home. He called and I said I can't be there but please fix and replace the sprinkler head on the other side of the yard that he said he would. Couple of hours later he called me back up angry and said he didn't know who did my install (sprinkler system)but he couldn't fix it and he didn't cause the leak (I said I would pay) he stated he didn't have the time or the money to keep coming out to my house he had been to home depot a lot of times and couldn't get the parts and that I needed to get a irrigation person to fix it and then he would be back to install the pavers. The next day I dug everything up. All he did was try to pour glue on it to stop the leak(see the picture with all the yellow glue). I took pictures and went to home depot I purchased everything to fix the leaking pipe and the new sprinkler head for under $20. I moved the pipes out from under the patio like I wanted in the first place and changed the sprinkled head. I also found a pressurized pipe still running under the patio that he said I didn't have so I installed a shutoff valve just in case. I called him back and told him I wanted the person he contracted to come and put the pavers back down not him because of all the shortcuts he took. He stated he was not going to pay the other person to come back out and that he would put back down the pavers. It's been another week and a half and he still hasn't showed up so I had to resolve it myself. By the way the person he contracted to put down the pavers did a good job. When this person came out to replace the broken pavers i asked why there were so many stained really bad he told me that he let Justin know that the pavers that were delivered were old pavers that were left out to long sitting on a pallet and that they should not be installed. Justin told him to continue installing them. When i asked him if he knew the pavers were old he told me yes the contractor did mention it. I am currently working with the paving company to get new pavers. Last thing that was needed was fine sand to fill in the grooves. Just brought me one small bag of brown sand when white is suppose to be used and one bag is not enough. I'm now waiting to get the sand. Justin does not know how to do pavers, he knew pipes and sprinklers needed moving he knows nothing about irrigation and cuts to many corners when doing the job. Did I mention he over ordered material by almost two pallets! Landscaper and can't fix sprinkler pipes?
Description of Work: Hired to install pavers over top of current patio and extend the patio out further, install retaining seating wall, and two flowerbeds. All this required rerouting sprinkler lines and heads.

Response from Cook Brothers Landscaping and Lawn Care
As a busy company in the prime time of season I cannot always be present at just one job taking place that day. So i send my best guys to take care of the job. this job was completed in a very timely manner and was absolutely perfect all except this gentlemen had a pre existing sprinkler pipe leak that we never touched that area of irrigation. This gentlemen wanted us to fix this with absolutely no charge, now that i cannot do, was not my fault this was there beforehand and was extra. my price was $50 to fix this which he did not want to pay so it was never taken care of. there was more then enough paver sand legitimate paver sand to complete the job. the color of the sand makes no difference in the completion of the job, if color was that important different sand could have been used. some companies white, others use brown, and others used gold, some use course and some use fine course. Paver sand is still paver sand. the end result would not differ on the color of the sand, they all do the same thing. As for the extra materials ordered, as mention in the review this gentlemen ordered the materials and paid for them himself, we just installed them. Now i did take measurements, however i took measurements 6 times because they were indecisive and couldnt figure out how big they wanted the patio. From the time the material were ordered, produced, and delivered they changed their mind on how big they wanted the patio and the sitting wall which is where all the extra materials came from. It is not my fault nor the companies fault for low country paver needing 3 weeks to make the paver order and needing another week to deliver, nor is it our fault the indecisiveness of this one customer. If they had not changed their minds so much and blamed everything on everyone else then this here would not be happening. I tried to accomodate these customers as much as possible but i will not be taken advantage over and continue to do free work and apperantly this gentleman did not like it when i put my foot down and told him so. Not to mention the 309 phone calls from him before the job was even started to discuss different possible options in less then 2 1/2 weeks. however every company will have the one customer that will just never be happy with anything no matter how far you strive to make that happen. and we strived very, very far with this one.

Description of Work: Justin and his crew put in approximately 1500 sq ft of paver deck using the 12x12 pavers. We had recieved estimates for the job from 3 other companies and Cook Brothers was by far the lowest price. We met with Justin. We explained what we wanted, and our furture plans. We settled on the job, and Justin and his crew followed our plans to the letter. His crew worked doubly hard since the larger pavers are thinner than standard pavers. In the end, our paver deck is exactly what we wanted. We have already recommended Justin (Cook Brothers) to friends of ours, and know he is scheduled to meet with them very soon to discuss their plans. Our friends we very pleased with his work also.

It was still dark when I went out to get the morning paper. Lying next to it was a plastic bag with some small rocks for weight and strategic symbolism, and a postcard sized paper describing the services of Cook Brothers Landscaping and Lawn Care. My first thought was, and quot;any advertising that gets my attention like this has is something to take seriously.and quot; I'm glad I did. Cook Brothers marketing, customer service, and professional work delivers a and quot;only what you needand quot; approach at a and quot;whatever it takesand quot; level of execution. Justin Cook consistently under promised and over delivered from the note in my driveway to the delight my wife and I experienced when we saw what his team had accomplished. Justin Cook got to me quickly, listened carefully and understood what I wanted, and followed through on every agreement. Justin is currently working on the plan that will replace our weeds with a new lawn. I doubt that he is the and quot;low price leader, and quot; but I have no doubt that I got my money's worth, and will again. Knowing now the quality of work I've already received, I'm very satisfied. I honor the service of our military, especially the Soldiers in Savannah and Hinesville. Hiring Veterans is a way we can say, and quot; Thanks for your part in keeping the war away from our children and grandchildren.and quot; Justin's last duty station was HAAF. He is a second generation landscaper with an in-born skill and lots of experience. I can tell you that my neighbors are delighted!
Description of Work: Transformed my overgrown holly bushes and shrubbery into a collection that belongs on an estate. Removed ten year old tree. Left the property spotless.
