We had an extreme humidity issue in the crawl space area that had caused our new hardwood floors to start buckling. Claude and Val did a great job of identifying the problem, providing sufficient information as to the cause and cure, a time frame to complete the work and were more than willing to allow us to do some of the work to reduce the cost. There concise descriptions and professionalism made there competitors look like cheap used car salesman. Not only did they do everything they said they would do when they scheduled it, but more importantly, our floors are now laying back down very nicely.
Description of Work: Encapsulate crawl space area.

First of all, Valerie and Cluade were very nice and profession. They always started early in the morning and finish around 5ish and sometime sat to get the job done. My house is built in 1988, so you image how disgusting it is in the crawlspace, especially if you have four ac units under the house. I had fiber glass insulation all over the ground from the moisture, humidity, and condensation. The vapor barrier was all ripped up to pieces. My joist were moist and sagging and settling. it was very dusty with plenty of spiders in the crawlspace. How I know, I did most of the cleaning and removing the insulation to cut down cost. I am a DIY kind of guy. I am young and hard working, so I didn't mind getting down and dirty. Let's say, this job was huge, approx. 3000sq ft. I had bagged up approx. 80, 30gal bags of insulation. I did not realize how big the crawlspace, until I started cleaning up. I called Cluade back and told him that I was not able to get it all out. He did not mind one bit and told me, he would take care of the rest and boy did his crew, val, and cluade took care of it. They were very detailed with the cleaning off the dust on the duct work, sand between the joist, and adding foam board in between the joist. My crawlspace opening were also not completely squared off, so they even did some masonry work. There was a part of the house where the crawlspace shorten from 3ft high to 2 ft high, it was a very tight space. They some how were about to encapsulate the area also and not half a** the job. I can tell that was gonna be the most difficult area, because I was not able to take down the insulation in that part of the house because of how pain and the a** it was, but those guys did it. After the job was completed, val had her windex and paper towels out mopping the vapor barrier, talking about detail. I knew I got a great deal on this job because I priced out all the material myself thinking that I was going to attack the project myself. I am so glad that I hired these guys instead, because I getting tired of crawling in and out of the crawlspace. Overall the job was superb and very detailed. My crawlspace was no joke with a crawlspace from the height between 3 and 2 feet high, 4 ac units, duct work all over, several piers, and wires everywhere, it gets old working in there for long period of time. They initially stated it was gonna take 3 days to complete it, but really it took about 6 days due to the difficulty level of the job. After they were done, I finally cranked up my heater. A couple of hours later, I can feel the cold floors, warming up. I was amazed, because in the winter time, I had problems with cold floors and now that has reduced greatly. I am curious to see what my utilities bills are gonna be. The smart jacks they also put in was a very difficult job also. I had four smart jacks put in because two of my piers were tilting, causing the beam to sag. For easy smart jack, they dug 4ft deep holes, filled with 2 bags of cements per hole, let it cured for 3 days, and sat the jacks on top. As they were jacking up the beam, the door I was never able to close, can now almost completely closed. I was amazed, because I also had crack dry wall in that same area, so I am going to fix that and hopefully it will not settle again. At the end of each work day, they always kept the place cleaned and organized before leaving. They even blew my driveway full of pine straws. If you have a Crawl space, I highly recommend Coastal Crawlspace to encapsulate it.
Description of Work: They cleaned out the crawlspace, remove all organic debris, hang wires, hang silver glow, 20mil vapor barrier, dehumidifier, sump pump, smart jacks, cement work, and so on.

Coastal Crawl Space provided a detailed quote of the work needing to be done. Val made an effort to give a detailed explanation of services to be performed and the cost of the service. She also explained the necessity of the service and how it will help the home in the long run. The were great through financing and scheduling. The were prompt and clean and easy to coordinate with. The answered all questions and followed up on any and all items. I would recommend their service, it's quality.
