Ralph Turner came to give an estimate on time, was thorough in measuring, etc. and called within a reasonable time with the estimate. He started the job when he said he would. He was very skilled, pleasant, detail oriented and worked hard all the time he was on premises...no long breaks or wasting time. He consulted me on details and we came to agreements which I appreciated as opposed to his just going about the work as if my input was unimportant. He had to rebuild the space where a screen door was in order to install a sturdy metal door. He painted the trim before installing it on the screened porch which was wonderful as there was no worry about trying to paint the trim without getting paint on the screen. The end result is that now I have a sturdy, attractive back stairs and landing, a new metal door, a freshly screened porch with no wrinkles or holes and I am quite happy. Another job called Ralph away (due to tornados elsewhere) and he was unable to install exterior doors which were part of the plan. He attempted to do the job, arriving with help for the installation, but when the doors were delivered they were interior doors as opposed to exterior which were what was needed. Doors were reordered but have not yet been installed. I have had several quite bad (actually horrible) experiences with home repair folks in this area so this was a refreshing experience which restored my faith that there are actually honest folks out there trying to make a living, as opposed to doing sub par work while charging high prices. I was impressed with Ralph's work ethic, and his quality work. Way to go!
