In several phone conversations, Mr. Harkness was very patient and generous with his advice regarding our particular problem, which involved mysterious voltage spikes. However, he did not follow up with a proposed appointment time. I would not be surprised if he is very busy, as he seems so patient, knowledgeable, and obliging.

We needed to find an electrician and thought we would look on Angie's List. There we found Charles Harkness; a kind, personable, family man who does excellent work for a fair price (no, we're not related). We felt perfectly comfortable providing access to our home when we weren't there. This was in May and I did not get around to commenting. We needed him again just this weekend (new job)....lightening again!) Charles went out of his way to find a switch from a friend and colleague (who was closed) so that he could see if he could get our water running. Success! Such kindness is rare today.

Arrived on time, top notch work, professional, very reasonable prices.

We live in low population rural area. We are thrilled to find an electrician who can provide quality service at reasonable price. My husband is an electrical engineer so he certainly recognizes quality workmanship.

Harkness Electric was perfect. He did everything I wanted him to do. He gave me an estimate as to how much it would cost. They knocked out the work quickly and neatly. They were very professional on a not exactly easy project. I would recommend Harkness Electric. They did a good job for me. The only issue is that there are not a lot of electricians in the area so, unless you have an emergency, you may have to wait a few weeks for them to be able to complete the work.
