Watch out for this business as they will try to double bill you 6 months later.

+ -1 moreThe technician was able to come to the house within a few hours if me calling. He quickly assessed the situation and discovered the drain leading to outside the house was clogged and opened up the section of pipe again. He also discovered that when my unit was placed they it was never plugged in an area it should have been and promptly fixed the area and gave me information in a preventative maintenance program the company provides to prevent this from occurring again. Overall two thumbs up for not only the quick turn around time but going above and beyond in educating me on my system!
Description of Work: Had a leaking A.C. unit in the house that had caused water damage and needed to be fixed to prevent further damage.

Description of Work: Turner Brothers Preventative Maintenance Dept.(Matt & Darrell) performed preventative maintenance on 2 systems for cooling season, replaced 2 failing capacitors and will be back for pm in heating season per agreement. Small problem developed after and Service Manager (Bill) quickly responded and all is well. Best HVAC Company in Southeast Georgia based on my 48 year history in HVAC business!

+ -1 moreThere was no charge for the service. They are a local company and they have been there for a long time. The owners checked on the workmen all the time. The air conditioner lowered my electric bill about $100 a month. I've been using them for 1 1/2 years. They are squared away. They are a very good company. I will absolutely continue to use them.

+ -1 moreLast evening, the A/C unit stopped cooling. The air handler was still working, but the outdoor unit was not. I called Turner 30 minutes before they opened (730am). They called back within 15 minutes. Matt, the technician, called me within the hour to say he was on the way. 20 minutes later, he arrived. A few checks determined that the capacitor was bad. Matt replaced the capacitor, did several system checks following replacement. From the time of my initial call to replacement was 2 hours and 15 minutes. I can't say enough about the prompt, professional and courteous service. Although they were not the initial installer of this unit, I will use them for all of my A/C needs in the future.

+ -1 moreFirst, I owned a heating and air conditioning company in MA for 38 years before coming to Georgia which gives me a unique perspective on this business. Turner did not install my original Trane heat pump systems as they were not my builder's choice at that time (2003) but later became his choice for his customers as well as himself in his new home. I initially called on them for service back in 2006 and they were prompt, efficient and thorough in servicing my relatively new systems. Since then they are my "go to" company for maintenance and emergency service. It's a family company and I'd rate it the best in Camden County. Their only drawback is they're not salesmen which most consumers will appreciate who have been pushed in to unnecessary purchases. I haven't used them in 2 years because I change air filters regularly and systems have had no problems.
Description of Work: Replaced evaporator coil in attic air handling unit after previously recharging with freon due to small leak (fix lasted 12 months). Coil was badly corroded and most probably a manufacturer (Trane) deficiency in the SE Georgia environment.

+ -1 moreWhen the last cold snap hit my heating went out. With 3 children in the house I couldn't do without heat. I called Turner Brothers heating and air and they came right out. As much as they tried they couldn't repair my unit (It was installed when the house was built in 1991). Although they didn't have an opening until March 25th they told me that they wouldn't let my kids be without that long and fit me in on the 12th. They showed up on time, installed a whole new unit and had me warm again in no time. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family.
Description of Work: Turner Brothers installed a new Central Heating and Air Unit including a new air handler, new copper tubing, a programmable thermostat and new drain lines. They also inspected the existing duct work and re-routed a couple we were having issues with.

+ -1 moreWe had just bought our house and the sellers hadn't lived up to their end on the inspection checklist. We called another company in town for AC repairs when ours went out within the first week of move in. After about $500 in repairs and three trips they told us it would need replaced. I didn't like the fact that the "other guys" did all the repairs and charged us multiple times BEFORE telling us that replacement was needed and not taking any off of the installment of a new system, so a neibor and friend referred us to Turner Brothers after they had helped them out on AC issues. We called them and they came out the next morning ( it is south Georgia and during the hottest part of summer). Anyway, they came and after realizing that it was a weird reading the tech called in 3 others to make sure he was seeing what he was seeing. (Leave it to us to have a freak problem). Anyway, they went ahead and took out our unit and got our house cooled and kept running tests on our old one to make sure that it really was un fixable. When that was decided they quoted us on new units gave us input on what for our home would be best ( which wasn't the most expensive) and gave us time to decide. They left us with the loaner and put the rental towards our bill in the end. We ended up deciding what we really wanted and they had let us have the time. These guys came in and were efficiant and friendly. I would use them again in a heartbeat! :)
Description of Work: Turner Brothers came out and checked out our AC and went above and beyond to see if it could be repaired. When it couldn't they were honest and got us a loner right away to use until we made our decision on what type of unit we wanted! I would recommend them anyday! They were friendly, patient and hard working!

+ -1 moreTo cool the finished room above the garage (FROG) Turner Brothers recommended a zoned AC system with an air handler that has a variable speed fan and a multi stage compressor outside. The new system far exceeds our expectations in its ability to cool the FROG. The room now stays within a degree of what the upstairs thermostat is set to. Our original AC system was 18+ years old and the air handler had been replaced once. At best guess it was a 10 SEER 3 ton system with unmatched parts. The system that Turner Brothers installed was a 19.2 SEER 4 ton unit. Our electric bill has dropped over 65% from what it had been the previous year.
Description of Work: In May 2012 we started looking for a new Heating and A/C unit for our home. We went into the process knowing that the cost would be substantial and that we would need at least three quotes. We had three separate companies provide us quotes for a new systems ranging from the basic 13 SEER system to the high end 19/20 SEER system from each company. The biggest concern we needed to address was cooling the finished room above the garage (FROG). Our first quote was from Turner Brothers Heating and Air. When I called they asked me when I would like someone to come out to the house; I provided a time and Mr. Turner arrived as scheduled. They provided us three quotes ranging from a low end 13 SEER system to a high end 19.2 SEER system. They provided us with several options to improve the cooling of the house and cooling in the FROG. After reviewing all of the quotes we asked Turner Brothers to come out again to discuss items that had been pointed out by some of the other contractors. Again, Turner Brothers arrived as scheduled and answered all of our additional questions. Mr. Turner added several changes to the work but the quoted price did not change. Turner Brothers scheduled the installation and his crew arrived on time. The job took 2 full days with final touch up work the morning of the third day. On day one the entire ducting system (old fiber board runs) was removed and the major components for the new unit were installed. AC was off for about 6 hours. By the end of the first day the new system was operational for part of the house. On day two the entire duct system was replaced with new metal ducting.

+ -1 moreI realized that my air conditioner had stopped cooling Friday evening around 7:00. I called Turner Brothers and was told that they were booked up all night, to try running water on the compressor outside, and to call back Saturday around noon. I called back on Saturday and was told that they would be there between 1:00 and 5:00 but would call me when they were on the way. At 1:30, I got a call that they were on the way. When they got there, they quickly diagnosed my problem as a blown capacitor, had a new one on the truck, and quickly got me running again. They do not charge any extra for after hours service calls, do not try to sell you anything extra, and are always upfront and honest. They give back to the community by donating time and money to non-profit organizations and overall are very active in the community. This was my third time using them and I won't use anyone else.
