TURF MASTERS LAWN CARE

The quality of care consistently dropped every year. Every year they add another round of service to the schedule, to increase billing. And this year, I received an invoice for nearly double what I paid last year. I fired them emphatically, and have moved on. Horrible company.

WARNING TO PET OWNERS – Do not use Turf Masters! We had an incident recently when my wife was pulling into our driveway and saw the Turf Master technician spray chemical around (or on) our golden doodles. This was the last straw for us and we stopped using them. I spoke with the Service Manager, and he was surprised to hear this and stated that their policy is to let the homeowner know to let the dogs in and in the event, they were not able to contact them to simply skip the house and more on. Later the Service Manager called back and told me that I had given permission to him in the past to spray chemicals while the dogs were outside, which is a complete lie and he agreed it sounded off. Regardless I would not recommend Turf Masters at all. We had spent a lot of money on lawn care, tree and shrub and mosquito service only to feel let down. Prior to the incident with the dogs, I had already called them out a few times complaining at how my front year with Emerald Zoysia was looking, it was not in good shape, and he agreed and was going to work on making it better. Save yourself time and money and do not use Turf Masters, they are not a competent nor fair company to work with.

turf masters guarantee is "NO GUARANTEE". They ruined my lawn and don't care.

They never showed up. We called them 3 different times and got the run around. Was passed along from one manager to another. All we want is our money back so we can call someone else

I hired this company to renovate my front lawn. I had a lawn of one year old sod that had some crabgrass throughout. The representative said they needed to kill off the areas of crabgrass with roundup. After doing that twice, killing 90% of my lawn, they came back to aerate and sow seed. However, I was not told about their coming to seed and did not have a chance to rake up all the dead grass first. So, they sowed seed on top of a lot of dead sod just 3 days after killing with roundup. The seed never reached the ground. Meanwhile, I had difficulty reaching them for help because the representative I talked to quit. Finally, I was told they would come back to aerate again and sow more seed. By this time, it was late in the season and too late for grass to grow. We raked all the dead grass and called them out. I requested they come while I was at home so I could talk to them. But, they showed up when I was not home and sowed seed on top of fallen leaves, though I was told they would blow leaves off the lawn first. Again, the seed did not reach the ground. Last week, they came back once more and aerated and sowed seed. But, it is December, and too late for grass to grow. I am supposed to wait until the spring to see grass.

If you'd like your yard to look like this after it was green, I highly recommend this group. If you don't want to destroy yard you might look elsewhere. Then if you like having horrible customer service and being argued with and belittled you need to reconsider hiring these folks.

Greg came to the door to let me know he was here. He also called me yesterday to tell me he would be coming today. They are nice people and always address my concerns.

Andrew did our service this year and he was excellent. We will have Turf Master again next year if we can be guaranteed that he will service us again.

Routine . Did call the afternoon before to give me time to get up leaves. Very friendly technician.

They keep upping the price on me every year, and I have to call them to knock it back down. They do provide great service, though.

very disjointed and unprofessional communication. received duplicate emails and was never able to understand when the date of service would be. luckily i was home when a truck pulled up to perform service that i did not request. i sent them away and had to call again to describe that i only asked for aeration. a month later i was greeted with a bill for the service that i declined marked as OVERDUE. wow... i mean it isn't that hard to communicate and schedule service, what an awful process

The staff was very professional and friednly pver the phone. The pricing was reasonable and I was pleased with the outcome of the service. I would highly recommend this company to others.

Committed to remove leaves from my property prior to the Thanksgiving holiday on either 11/26 or 11/27. Came on 11/26 but couldn't do the job in the rain. Said they would return the next day. When no one showed up or called by 3 PM the next day I called and they said they could make special arrangements to do the job on Saturday. Too late.

I've used Turf Masters for over a year now originally we were happy with their service. This year, 2013, I'm not sure they are doing more than applying a very weak fertilizer and weed control solution to our yard. We've had more weeds than ever, mostly broadleaf weeds, and it is extremely noticeable and our yard looks awful. Instead of anyone from the company offering specific broadleaf weed control I received over 10 phone calls, some recorded, pushing aeration services. I've terminated their service and applied fall pre-emergent, slow release fertilizer, broadleaf weed killer and milky spore to my lawn over the weekend hoping to get my lawn back to where i was before having Turf Masters "maintain" my lawn.

They were contracted to do the entire lawn including the upper portion behind the retaining wall. They would only do the upper portion if I was there and reminded them. I called several times over the year about weeds and them not treating the upper level as well as weeds on the lower level. It would get better for a service hen right back to the way it was. I would not recommend using them.

This is a real shame in my opinion. When looking for a yard service I called several places, spoke to neighbors, ect. Turf Masters seemed to be a solid company. First and foremost, they turned my yard around. The yard never looked better after their aeration and chemical applications. However, their customer service is horrendous. I called 4 times to get a quote to spend more money with this company. I never received a call back. I called again to cancel my account and asked that someone call to confirm that my account was canceled. Still no word. I called today and the customer service manager had put a note in to cancel my account, but I guess he didn't think it would be a good move to call the customer. Wow. As a side note, I called Ashman Landscaping on a Friday at 4:00 pm. I received a call from the owner at 6:00 pm that night. Mind you he was only three days removed from having his first child. Needless to say I have moved my business to Ashman and I have now contracted to spend over $1500.00 with him this week. Congrats Turf Masters.

I started using Turf Masters a few years ago when I noticed how well they transformed a neighbor?s lawn that looked horrible. For the first couple of years everything went fine. They were not least expensive provider but did a decent job. However, things have really gone progressively downhill in the past two years. My lawn is now very, very anemic and filled with weeds. I've called several times to complain. Seldom does anyone answer the telephone and they NEVER demonstrate any sense of urgency in correcting problems. More often than not, they simply wait until your next application is due. This year they made one special trip to apply weed killer that turned half the grass an ugly yellow color. Turf Masters has certainly lost their customer focus and dedication to providing quality results. My lawn looks horrible and I'm even afraid that several areas may now require large sections of replacement sod. They are simply not applying high quality fertilizers and weed killers. ENOUGH is ENOUGH. Finding a new lawn care company is just one reason why I subscribe to Angie's List.

I have cancelled the contract after two years. My yard has never looked worse. Repeated calls got me a 'free' visit four days after I called. The guy thanked me for my patience and spot sprayed the weeds. It didn't work. This is the second year in a row this particular weed has consumed my lawn. The serviceman would come and spray and plant a TurfMaster's sign on what was becoming the weediest lawn in my neighborhood. Enough!

I cancelled the contract and will likely go back to companies I have had previous, succesful experience with.

I've been using this company for over two years now. I have always been happy with the outcome of their work. My lawn always looks beautiful; that's what counts. It can be pricey, but their work is really worth it.

I always have very good experiences with Turf Masters. They are always reasonable, friendly, fast and they always do a beautiful job. They have worked hard on my yard and I must say that my lawn has come a long way. I love turf Masters and my lawn loves them, too.

This is a great company to use because they always ensure that the lawn gets just the right formula for staying healthy. They are very professional in their customer service and the price is split for both lawn and shrubs separately.
