The Grounds Guys of Alpharetta

Services with Grounds Guys of Roswell went horribly wrong. Based on our research (website essentially), we selected this locally-owned franchise because their web presence was clean, thoughtful, articulate and professionally done. However, a uniformed staff and maintained work vehicle does NOT a qualified provider make. Upon reviewing the first service performed, we quickly observed that the lawn clippings were not even collected (bagged). In fact, grass trimmings were actually blown into the landscape mulch surrounding the flowers & shrubs. Additionally, the edging was substandard as remaining grass clippings were simply blown into the intended gap, thus defeating the purpose of edging entirely. After verbalizing & sending images of said observations to the owner (Garrison), we were assured that a follow-up visit would occur the next day to correct these 'oversights' and all would be good. This 'follow-up' visit now consisted of the feeble attempt of separating grass from wood chips by blowing the grass-laden mulch onto our entry walkway for us to spend 30 minutes of our own time collecting to replace in it's proper area(s). We again indicated this to Garrison, at which point he informed us that there would be absolutely no more issues of the sort on the second scheduled service- and based on these discrepancies he would make a follow-up visit to inspect the work of his (very inexperienced) crew. Second visit: This is where things become almost comical (...almost). This time, the clippings were indeed collected, edging appeared to be done to an acceptable level but the shrubs were completely untouched. Again, we found ourselves relegated to contacting the owner to express our disappointment with incomplete services (including more pictures of un-pruned hedges). At this point, instead of rectifying another poorly executed service, Garrison simply stated that he didn't believe that trimming the hedges was included in our contract - which we can absolutely prove was in fact included. We cancelled our service with Ground Guys after merely 2 maintenance visits, and after 7 days we still await a credit on another 'error' of double-charging our credit card for our sole month of service. Of course the ever-polite Garrison apologized for this added oversight, but has yet to respond to several messages inquiring on the status of our credit. After exhausting all of our remaining patience, we STRONGLY advise against hiring this landscape company. There are many other well-established and reputable providers in this area from which to choose from. UPDATE - Grounds Guys did compensate us for our concerns with their services rendered following the cancellation of our contract.
