I scheduled Taylor to come to my house to give me a quote for windows. I initiated the contact. I allotted 2 hours for them to do what they needed to do and give me a quote. The salesman was 1/2 hr late and when I told him he only had 1.5 hrs left to give me a quote, he said he needed more time and scheduled to come back again. The guy that came back the 2nd time to give me a quote was not the same guy. I allotted him 3 hours to give me a quote. He stayed for 3 hours. I actually had to ask him to leave because I had to be somewhere. The salesman told me all about his company, showed me his windows inside and out, and gave me a quote. Of course, his quote was $9500. If I purchased today, though, the quote would be $7900. (I can never understand what magical thing happens to the windows from the time a quote is given until the time I purchase that raises the price so much, but oh well). When I told him I was not purchasing today, only getting quotes, he continued to press me for a purchase decision. He was a very high pressure salesman. I don't respond to high pressure. I do my research and make my decisions on my own timetable. I ended up purchasing windows but not from Taylor, from another company.

The manager, Steve Michaels, was very helpful. He came out several times and answered all questions that I had. He taught me about what all would go on throughout the replacement. He came back out after the work was completed to check it. I did have some questions about a couple of areas and he took a look at those. They were very professional and helpful. When the crew came out to do the work, I asked them to make sure they went over the area with a magnet to make sure all nails were picked up. I was quite pleased with them.

I met a representative from this company at the Atlanta Home show. They made an appointment and showed up on the date and time they said they would. The salesman was very nice but also stayed way too long. We believe he knows his product and understand the industr. When he returned a few days later to give us "the demo" he was more than 30 minutes late and then gave us a price of $17,000 for replacing 8 large windows (including instlling a bay and adding transomes), blown in insulation and a solar fan. Another problem is that he never even looked at the attic to see if we needed insulation. He also encouraged us not to get any other estimates because we wouln't need them. He was very reluctant to break down the cost for each window, labor etc and we had to rush him out of the house because even though he said he would only need an hour, he was there for over an hour even after we insisted he skip the window efficency demo. The next day someone else called from the office to say that she understood that we thought the price we were given was too high and that there was nothing she could do to help us but she wanted to offer us services from their sister company who has less overhead due to advertising and marketing and could probably giive us a cheaper price. She said that they were a smaller organization and could get products they couldn't get. She said that they would need to send someone out to measure because they wouldn't accept the measurements taken by them because in the past newer sales people had made mistakes. When I questioned her saying that the salesman who came had been with the company for many years she said that was their policy. We declined their offer because we thought they were too pushy and figured that their "sister" company was just going to show up and give us another wildly overpriced estimate.

They were very good and professional. They did the job in one day; so they were in and out. I felt things were a little rushed, but I had to go back out and make sure I was watching what they were doing. So I felt it was the right value, but then the windows were actually pretty expensive for what I was getting. The installation was fine and windows are doing what they're supposed to do. So it's fine. They were fine as well, and the salesmen come down and they bring all their hi-tech little gadgets and gizmos and stuff. So people kind of have to look beyond that to see if that's really the value that they are looking for, for their budget. I haven't had to call them back for anything; so far they've seemed to be good.

It was fine. They did what we contracted and they were professional.

Their service was good and I have no complaints about the work they have done. The workers were here on time and I would give them the highest respect.

Saw Taylor construction at the Atlanta home show and filled out a card to get an estimate on replacing the gutters on my house. A week or so later they called to set up an appointment to give me an estimate the for gutters. As we tried to set a date I was advised that both my wife and I have to be present to have an estimate done. My wife was not available on the weekend that i could be there, so the representative said he would get back to me. Two + weeks go by and I get another call. Same thing, they will only do an estimate if both husband and wife are present. At that point I asked to speak to a "manager". I told him it should not matter whether both of us are there , as I plan on getting other quotes and will not committ to a purchase until I see all the quotes. At that point he said that was how they do business and if I didn't like it I could have someone else quote the job. I will be doing just that. Evidently they rely on a high pressure sales job and a signed contract on the spot.

It did not go well overall. The sales presentation is deceptive and a hard sell. The rep offered my parents-in-law interest free financing but, later, when my father-in-law had a question about something on one of the financing documents he called Taylor and the financing company and learned that Taylor had just rolled the interest amount into the amount charged for the work. Second, the clean-up they performed after the work was completed was very bad. It has been seven months and they are still picking up nails all around their home where the workers were careless as they worked and then didn't clean up properly after they finished. Third, a short while after the work was completed, there was a hard rain and my parents-in-law learned that the chimney that was repaired by Taylor actually wasn't repaired as it leaked badly. My father-in-law has called Taylor several times and has been only able to speak with the office staff - not the contractor or project manager. He has been told by the office staff that they have to put a request in and then it takes up to three days for the company to respond. So far, he has heard nothing back from them and no one has come out to discuss the problem or rectify it. The chimney continues to leak. Lastly, considering all of this, they are very unhappy with the whole situation. The work was not done satisfactorily, the company was deceptive from the start and now they are ignoring their customer who shelled out $24,000 for the work and basically refusing to make it good. Do not use Taylor Construction! You will regret it.

Set up an appointment to get an estimate to replace a picture window that has water damage to the frame. The salesman was on time and when I told him what I needed, he explained that his company has a 5 window minimum. I told him I am only interested in replacing one. He did an inspection of the other windows and found no issues. He explained other services his Taylor provides and I told him I would keep them in mind for any future repairs. Brett was very professional and polite even though there was no work order involved. He even helped to shut a window in the garage that he noticed had slipped down.

Did not use the company. We were just getting estimates for work to be done later. Andy Taylor and others were professional and knowledgeable, but I doubt we will go with them. They scheduled a second company to meet with us about the windows when we said their price was out of range. Not sure how they do that, but I don't want to deal with two different companies. Also, they push the gutters and spend A LOT of time explaining them. The gutters are very expensive, more than I would ever pay.

The salesman of course was a pushy person, would not take no for a answer and I was in a very depressed state and the girl that works for me who was here at the time said, "JUST GO DO IT"!!. I wanted to get more estimates first. The salesman also said he would come by while construction was going on. If I didnt have to call him because of questions on the product being installed, he would not have come. He said after the work was finished he would be out to take pictures if I alloed him too which would have been NO PROBLEM. Of course I have not heard from him nor anyone in there company and the installer told me there was a dented item that he would order and when it came in, he would bring it out. I really do not believe he even ordered it as when I called him to remind him he didnt do anything about ordering it. I just forget about calling my salesman to ask him. I am not pleased with the shower head i ordered. It will not stay up in the holder so that I can push it up and down and when it falls off, the hose part hangs down and water squirts all over unless I can catch it and hold it between my legs. Because I am semi handicapped, I cannot stand to shower and cannot hold the shower hose that I had to put my old one back on that doesnt match; but this one I can move up and down and I also do not freeze or burn when the water is turned on until the temp. comes to the way I need it. I will also ask about another head when I get the salesman. The salesman on the day he came out said he had a A#1 rating with Angies list; but, they didnt; but it was not in the catagory I was going to use Taylor for. I know more people are using for siding. I will need siding and will check before I buy from Taylor.

It was very high pressure despite my repeating myself that I do not reposnd well to the "if you sign now you will get..." tactic. Kept pushing it anyway. Then they called and said they had another company without the overhead of the Taylor Construction.. Indeed, it had a different name but same business address. It is a sales tactic to get back in the door with another offer. If you cannot represent yourself in an up front and honest manner, you are not for me.

'Oh please, I just did. FOUR WINDOWS, $3400.00, ONE BROKEN!! Bad News. It is not finished yet. It is over 6 months later and still no fixed window. Every time we call and ask when it will be replaced, we are told that they had to have the new window shipped from the factory and that it will be here in a few days to a couple of weeks. When we call back we either get the same story or that it is supposed to come in today and they will call to come put it in. It is getting old. It is over 6 months later and we still have a broken window which they installed. When we suggested that they give us a refund, they immediately called and said that it was shipped today and would be here in two days. We will see - if it is installed in two days which will be October 5, then it will be a miracle. We are very very displeased with the service that Turner Construction has given us, which is basically non-existent. Oh, they did bring a window six weeks ago, but it was the wrong size and the replacement would be here in a week (which was only 5 weeks ago, so I guess we should give them some slack). What is wrong with this company? The Better Business Bureau was contacted, and the next day, we were contacted, but still nothing was done. Taylor Construction Company is not only over-priced, there employess have no regard for the customer. You are a fool if you do business with them. It is too late for us but you have been warned.

Initial sales presentation was a painfully long planned presentation, only to reveal that they didn't have anything which would match our existing trim. The sales manager came out to offer a line which he had been happy with at a previous employer, and was trying to convince the owners to add to the portfolio. We bought. One hitch is that 6 of the proposed windows were encased in a rock facing which was going to make replacing easy, but would destroy parts of the facing. We removed those windows from the quote. The installation crew was quite good, fast and professional. And we have since used Taylor to insulate our attic. And now the glitch bit: When calling in for service on a failed seal on one of the windows, we got a surreal runaround. The primary contact for service is routed to a person who continually neglected to take down our current contact information. This led to over two weeks of many calls, with absolutely zero response from Taylor. After an initial nasty review here on Angies list, we were contacted by a Taylor customer management contact. After this point, contacts have been swift, the initial service check has been pleasant, the warranties check out, and the replacement procedure has started. Otherwise, we are quite happy with them, and I'm rewriting this review, as well as upgrading the ratings to represent the current situation, with a bit of a dent in the ratings because of the annoyance factor.

I purchased my home from a previous owner in 2006. Two years ago, I learned the siding on my house had been part of a class-action lawsuit. Painting it was not recommended; it's known to crumble. Now that my house badly needed new siding, I obtained three estimates. Taylor Construction was one of the three. A representative was punctual for our appointment and performed a visual inspection of the house. His attitude was very condescending. During the inspection, he told us we were in for a very expensive job. He continued to point out several things and diagnose the problem, including what he said was termite damage. When I informed him the home has never been without a termite bond and pointed out the known issue, he became increasingly negative. At every turn, he seemed to assert himself and his expertise. When sitting at my dining room table to discuss the estimate, he began telling me the history of the company. I tactfully attempted to show him I had already researched the company by referencing the company's web site, Angie's List reviews, and the positive feedback I'd seen. He began leading me through a 40 slide PPT presentation on the company. Five slides and 15 minutes in, I thanked him for his time and asked him if we could skip to the information on the work that would be done and the estimated cost of that work. His tone was very biting, and he kept pushing. When he finally gave us an estimate, it was over $26,000 for vinyl siding. The look on my face was apparently one of shock. I admit I didn't realize vinyl siding had gone up so much in price; I thought it would be more economical. He asked what my other estimates were, and I told him this estimate was over twice as much as my Hardie-Plank ones. I admitted that I didn't realize vinyl siding would be more expensive. I then heard a 10 minute rant on Hardie-Plank, and he asked me for more information on the other companies. When I did not tell him the names of those companies, he continued to degrade others in the area and push Taylor Construction as "the only company with 30+ years in the business". I don't know if this extremely low quality of customer service is used with everyone or if he saw me as an ignorant female homeowner. Becoming frustrated, I addressed his comments with facts I'd found while researching--from reputable sources. I don't appreciate being treated like a child, and I feel a customer's questions should be addressed with respect. I thanked him for his time and said I felt we had enough information. While this representative may be ruder than others, the price was well over other estimates, including a vinyl one, and the presentation was clearly (and as stated by him) standard company practice. This company needs to re-evaluate how they train their salespeople. I will not contact Taylor Construction again.

I allowed an estimate for gutters and windows. I was late to the appt for the initial estimate, my oldest Son was home for it. The guy walked around the house, took a few measurements, when I arrived he was done, said he couldn't get to the gutters, did the windows and someone else would come out. A few days later another guy comes to the house and did the windows and gutters and an in home, elaborate product display, in all which took about 3 hrs., this is time I did not expect and mentioned this to him several times, it appeared to not phase him. So I decided to go with the gutters as they were in need the most and I did like the price, he did give me a guarantee on the window price for a year from the estimate date. The installer manager called me the next week said he would call me by a certain day to confirm a Friday install because of the rain we were having he wasn't sure. Instead of calling me like he said, his guys showed up and I was on the way out the door and quite disturbed about the communication issue, they really didn't care either. So I managed to change my plans for the day. It took them about 4 hrs. They seemed to be doing things orderly and I thought they had cleaned up their mess pretty well, NOT. They broke 2 of my plant pots, left a lot of screws and metal pieces from the old gutters all the way around my house. To this day NO ONE from this company has bothered to call and ask me how everything went, if all went well, if I was happy with the gutters, etc; I had left a message in the general mailbox asking for someone to call me as I had a question, still nothing.This organization lacks professionalism and communication skills.

Did not show up for the first appointment - But I hired them. Mistake. The job was done unsatisfactorily - and it took numerous calls to get them to come back and fix the issues in both the back and front gutters. They didn't fix it on their first return visit so had to return for a third visit before they got it right. The manager's email address they give you to supposedly register complaints is a dead mailbox.

They are good with follow-up. They are prompt, and they keep on schedule. They are also informative; they follow up with a survey.

Their follow up had been good. They did a great job. I was pleased with their service.

It was excellent. The workers arrived on time, cleaned up after themselves, and did a wonderful job. They were very courteous as well.

The estimator/sales person who called on us was very good and very professional. She showed up on time. I chose not to buy simply because of price. If you want top quality and don't mind paying for it, then I think these are your people.

The experience went very well. They were on time to give us the quote. They were ahead of schedule in getting the gutters put up. We didn't need to call them back out to fix anything afterwards. Overall they were a very good company and they did what they said they were going to do. I wasn't here when they did the work; my wife was here. They got the work done on time.
