Sadoro Services, Inc., owner Ross Bernhardt, performed services on this remodel job. The framing phase was judged poor as the walls were excessively out of square and not plumb. This resulted in another trim crew which I hired to compensate by building out the door frames/jambs with tapered wood to fill in the gaps. Cabinet installers were required to perform removal of drywall at counter ends in order to fit the square of the engineered cabinet corners. The plumbing phase was judged to be poor as it resulted in several inside the wall leaks after drywall installation. The electrical phase was judged poor as it required newly fished wiring to connect to the circuit breaker box from switches that failed to work as no connected wiring existed. The HVAC phase was satisfactorily installed, however, this subcontractor was not paid by Mr. Bernhardt and I had to make up the deficit in order to have the HVAC contractor finish the installation so I could have heat starting in December. I paid Mr. Bernhardt $31,885 of the total project $32,885 only to find that he abandoned the job as there was more work remaining than there was revenue to be received from doing the work. I faulted in trusting Mr. Bernhardt as he continually pressured me to cut him a check for him to pay his subcontractors. In all, I spent an additional $9,000 to hire a licensed electrician and plumber to rework the failed deliverables ($5,000) and to finish the abandoned work ($4,000) of Sadoro Services, Inc. I rate the service from Mr. Bernhardt of Sadoro Services, Inc. to be of poor quality and the professionalism to be untrustworthy and unreliable.
