RHC Design Core brings a modern approach to the contracting world. We use technology, up-to-date design techniques, and have over 40 years of experience in the field. Our goal is to develop long-standing relationships with each and every client.
I gotta tell ya, Roger is the man! He recently had his crew did some work on my back porch, installing screens, plexiglass, and a door, and boy, did he knock it out of the park! The screens weren't his, and neither was the door - he got 'em from a different company. But Roger and his men? They didn't bat an eye. They took those pieces and made 'em fit like they were made for my porch. Now, my porch has several imperfections, and the frames were not even. But that didn't stop Roger. He worked around all those bumps and chips, fitting in the screens and plexiglass like a pro. Not a gap in sight when he was done! And let's talk about communication. Roger kept me in the loop the whole time. No fancy jargon or anything, just straight talk about what he was doing and how he was doing it. Made the whole thing feel like a breeze. Now, I know what you're thinking - this must've cost a fortune, right? Wrong! Roger's prices were super reasonable. I mean, considering the top-notch job he did, I would've expected to pay a lot more. So, if you're looking for a contractor, give Roger a call. He's a straight-shooter, a hard worker, and he'll get the job done right without breaking the bank. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

I would not recommend using this company. Our decking on the front entry and back deck were supposed to be replaced. The original wood was over 32 years old. The back deck was totally removed. Then some of the 32-year-old wood was used as support for the front entry deck instead of replacing it. Each of the 5x5x post had one bad corner. Instead of facing it to our woods, every single one faces the visible side. Many of the basic nails needed to hold the boards were missed. These pieces are now badly warped causing tripping. Two pieces have no nails at all and can be removed. The stairs were replaced but they left space before the slab and the posts were leaning and had to be redone again. One of the boards supporting the back desk stairs still has a very bad cuts missing wood and the post at the bottom of the stairs is permanently leaning. Also mounted a desk bracket that pinched our gas line that had to be cut out and replaced. The owner tried to justify all the issues.
Description of Work: We had our large back deck/stairs and our front smaller entry deck and stairs replaced.

I am absolutely shocked by this review. We were contracted to replace the rear deck and REHAB the front porch. The rear deck was completely replaced. Mr. [Member Name Removed] was standing out front as the front porch was being renovated. We explained to him exactly what we were going to do but it was only after that we realized he disagreed with what we did. I decided to completely redo the supports and redo the railing for him. I look at the pictures he attached in this review and once again shocked by the fact he would attach pictures of things prior to them being addressed during punched out and since corrected. The knots you see in the railing were actually replaced with new pieces of wood. Mr [Member Name Removed] apparently has little to no education when it comes to pressure treated wood and I’m assuming he thinks it is supposed to look like a piece of furniture. I am very thorough in explaining the pros and cons of using pressure treated wood and set level expectations of what to expect. Pressure treated lumber can twist once it dries. We have no control of that but we do make sure everything is bolted together to mitigate the possibility of this happening. He shows in his pictures random cracks in the larger 6x6 posts. Those are not cracks those are what you call “checking” and is very common in large format wood. The original stair stringers were buried in the slab. When we had removed the old deck it left ruts in the slab. We always install 4 stringers and the original stairs only had three. Once again I explained this to Mr. [Member Name Removed] and we filled in the ruts with concrete. Overall these issues he mentions in his review were addressed and repaired/replaced during punchout phase. As for responsiveness Mr. [Member Name Removed] made me wait for him and his wife to align on their schedule before we could come out and perform any/all tasks mentioned above. I wanted to immediately address the issues but had to wait on them. It is also the first I’m hearing anything about a gas line being pinched. Mr. [Member Name Removed] has my number and could have contacted me regarding the gas issue or any of the issues he has mentioned and would have happily addressed the issue if it was something we caused or under warranty. His deck has been completed nearly 5 months now and still under warranty. I find it very odd that this customer is just now submitting this review and have not received one phone call to address any of his alleged concerns. We as a company always try our best to make sure our customers are left happy even if there might be issues during the process. I’m sorry if Mr. [Member Name Removed] feels the way he does but I gave him every opportunity during punchout to address concerns or things needing refinement. I can’t control anything after if i was not made aware of it. Mr. [Member Name Removed] has a warranty period and could simply reach out with the issues he had and we would have happily addressed them whithin reasonable expectations in place.

Received a call from Robert and we discussed options on my project. Said he would send an email quote. Did not receive it so contacted him twice over a two week period and received apologies both times and promises the quote was on the way to two emails I gave. Six weeks later no estimate. Moving on

I had a few phone conversations with this customer regarding his fireplace renovation We tried to come together with a few design ides and transfer that into a proposal. I did attempt to send him an estimate via email. I realized later on they were stuck in my outbox and were not being sent. I had figured by that time he had gotten someone and unfortunately did not follow up further. My apologies for the confusion.

I hired Design Core to renovate the interior of my 3 story townhome. The renovation included: Kitchen (quartz counters, custom cabinets, plumbing, electrical) Flooring (all levels, carpet, hardware refinish, tile), Master Bath (gutted and rebuilt, new framing, electrical, plumbing, custom shower, custom vanity, chandelier, custom stone/tile, fixtures) Painting (entire home) New doors, new electrical outlets/switches, New ceiling lighting throughout, New ceiling fans. They did an amazing job and completed the project ahead of schedule and within budget. I would recommend Design Core to anyone. Great team to work with.
