Awful, Rick McGaha is not to be trusted! He changed company names to R & M Design Group...He has ripped me off for tens of thousands that he refuses to refund me.

First off, I don't write up reviews all that often. I should because I ready everyone else's to determine if I should buy any products. However, I feel like it's important in this situation because after spending over $7000 on a backyard patio and pergola, I want other people out there to know what I know. For some additional context, I volunteer on our HOA and see a variety of proposals from the Magnolia Design Group come in for architectural enhancements to our community. So I'm aware that this company is really doing a lot of work in our community. With that said, the story is the same with each of the homeowners that I've interacted with. The end product looks okay, but if you inspect any of the projects that they've done, you begin to notice a pattern. The quality of the craftsmanship is very poor. Corners are cut. Lines are straight. Wood isn't cut symmetrical. Cement isn't flat. And the list goes on and on. Now I understand everyone wants to save money when it comes to doing something major to their home. I mean, c'mon. Who doesn't want to save money? I know we sure did. And when Rick quoted us $3K lower than the other guys, we thought, why not? We can buy furniture for our patio now and not just have a patio without anything. It seemed like a no brainer. We selected him. And we regret it every day. The old adage of "you get what you pay for" is completely relevant to this transaction. Now, don't get me wrong, we enjoy our patio every day. But know we spent over $7K for it and knowing all the things that "off" with it makes the experience so much less enjoyable had we spent a few extra dollars and used one of the contractors that had an "A" rating. So buyers, beware. You'll save a few dollars, but the frustration of dealing with a subpar product is always a risk.

They're not good. They should have responded to my emails and phone calls about replacing two tickets and defend on that and making sure that the people they sent out to do the work were able to like finish the job just like the same quality and service that we expect from anybody that we pay.

The owner Rick is easy to deal with and responds well to questions or inquiries. Most importantly he sticks to his bid price in spite of some extra difficulties and does quality work.

They were going to have their contract part out. They gave the other company to call me. The guy called me and then he set it up on Friday. He then called me on Friday and said that his wife would be calling me back. She was the one who would come out to do it. They were supposed to reprogram my garage doors and they never called me or anything. I would never use them again. They quoted $75 for the work. The price was reasonable. They subcontracted to a different company and that company never called me back. They should have followed up with the other company.

I was misled by reviews online because most reference to garage doors and not fencing. I contacted Rick McGaha. He immediately came out and gave me the estimate. The estimate included a 10-year warranty on paint. Estimated time of completion was 2 weeks. The estimated start date was approximately 1 week after the initial meeting with Rick. Approximately 1 month later when the job was finally completed, I pointed out areas of the fence that were pooorly painted,locations where soil on the posts were not compacted properly and the welds on the fence looked like they were done by an amateur. To top it all off, the fence was not level. Rick said they would have 3 months to completely fix the paint, weld and ensure compaction around the posts. I reached out to Rick no less than 15 tmes over the last year. The 3 times he replied were all excuses for not returning to make the repairs. I filed a report with Better Business Bureau and he did not reply. The staff is inexperienced, not professional and did not show up daily. The truck they were driving also left oil stains in my dirveway. Avoid Rick when it comes to fencing.

We have a wrought iron fence surrounding our yard with two gates. One gate came completely off it's hinges and the other needed it's locking mechanism repaired. Most places we called never even bothered to call back. Magnolia not only called back but had someone out the same day to look at the repairs required and I had a written estimate in my email the following morning. We scheduled the work and the day it was scheduled to be performed, it poured rain. They were very proactive about rescheduling and arrived promptly on the rescheduled day and time. The work was completed quickly, precisely and beyond my expectations. I will gladly call on Magnolia again for repair and maintenance of our fencing.

They came out and measured and went and obtained the door and were done within a manner of hours. They gave me very prompt service. They technician was extremely courteous and mannerable.
