Joanne has a team that specializes in different aspects of marketing and selling a home. We had excellent contact with her team. They gave me an app for my smartphone that informed me every time an agent sold the house, and provided the agent's feedback (if they provided it). The house was minimally staged and we made a few upgrades per their suggestions.Closing went very smoothly and proceeds were electronically sent to my account the same day. This was my parent's home and I was the trustee of the estate. When we are ready to sell our own home, we definitely will hire Joanne Curtin to be our agent.

I searched your site for "home appraisal". This company appeared in that search engine. I do not feel that the services which are provided should fall under the category of appraiser. THIS IS A REVISED REVIEW. The company contacted me about the expectations that they had for their listing on Angie's list and my expectations of them because they had a listing on Angie's list. By their request I am revising this review, but do want to clarify that despite working out the fee that I was charged, the services which are provided are still so limited that they should NOT be categorized or expected to be an APPRAISAL, BROKER'S PRICE OPINION OR MARKET ANALYSIS which would help you in determining what price you should list your home for sale or in determining what you should pay for a house that you wish to buy. If any of these are what you want, look elsewhere to an actual appraiser. Instead of the above, I received these "average" reports that Keller Williams uses to try to get you to list your house with them. These averaging reports do not weed out any homes that are not similar (or comparable) to my home. I have a 2 story traditional home in an area that has a thousand other, similar homes. Yet, the KW agent brought only information on 3 recent sales, including a ranch house that is 1,000 square feet smaller than mine. That is not a comparable home. That does not help me with my 2 story traditional house that is nearly 3,000 square feet. When I called an actual appraiser, he was able to find 50 current or recently sold listings within 1.5 miles of my house that were closer to comparable than what I received from the KW agent. I asked the HW agent for some names of appraisers and he said that he would send me the info., that I would be buried in information. Instead, I received nothing UNTIL I posted this review. During the process of speaking with the KW agent (who called me at the same number 3 times over a few days but called me a different first name because he could not keep track of all the calls). It has become obvious that these KW agents are on the phones so much, they cannot keep track of one person from the next. I am concerned about the number of calls that the KW agents are expected to make and that they may be calling and pitching so much that you will lose any kind of personal touch or information which is actually pertinent to your needs. I was refunded the $50 that I paid, but I had to endure nearly daily reminders from the KW guy to post a revised review. So, here is the revised review.

The biggest positive thing about Joanne was that she had a team of people that can get your home ready for sale. She just gave me all the contact information for everybody so that it can go pretty quickly. Her pricing was reasonable. She communicated quite well with me. Overall, it was just an excellent experience.

They did a great job overall. My one 'negative' comment is that the Curtin Team is definitely a tech savvy firm and do the majority of their work virtually (text, email, online reviews, etc.). This being our third home sale, we were used to a more 'hands-on' experience. Joanne was only by our house during the initial interview and we haven't seen her in person since. The only other 'negative' is that their commission starts at 7% because they claim that their services and strategy will sell your home faster than other agents. We were not under contract in their initial 30 days so they reduced the commission to 6% along with a price reduction we had to do to our listing price. All in all they were professional, courteous and provided the services they promised to and the house is under contract. We are moving out of the state, but if not we may use them in the future.

This was a fantastic home selling experience!! Our house sold in four days after being listed on MLS, and we had two competing offers for full price. Joanne and Tom were a dynamic duo, expert real estate marketers, and a highly successful sales team. Their formula for selling homes quickly and at the right price was creative, practical and effective. They and their entire support team were superb professionals and highly responsive throughout the process. The quality of their work and marketing presentations was first rate. In addition, Joanne and Tom were exceptionally personable and caring individuals who were genuine and honest in their dealings with us and others. From our experience and the accounts of others, the Curtin team is the best! We could not be more pleased to have found them through Angie's List. Admittedly, our 30-year old house was in meticulous condition, having been well maintained and upgraded, and also thoroughly prepped over the preceeding three months before putting it on the market. That too paid off nicely in a competitive buyer's market.

The service was great. Everything turned out very well. She and her husband did an excellent job.

Joanne and her husband Tom are great to work with. They did not charge for the service. Joanne helped me in deciding how and when to list my house and due to the market it was not in my best interest to sell the house and she was very honest about that.
