They were just excellent. They removed everything that was left behind. They did excellent work. It was clockwork with precision. I have never seen anything like that and it’s perfect. I will absolutely use them again in the future.

They arrived on time, with complete equipment and plenty of employees. They proceeded with the work and were no trouble at all to work with. They used a small bobcat to remove some of the logs, but they laid plywood on the lawn to prevent damage. When they were done, they smoothed out most of the area around the trees. The stump grinder arrived shortly afterwards, and took care of all the stumps that same day. He was also a company employee.

Overall, the experience was good. The technicians were neat, efficient, and did what had to be done while being careful. Nothing was damaged, and they cleaned up really well. They did an excellent job and I would definitely call them again.

Redfern came to remove the tree within three hours of my telephone call to them (as opposed to some other companies who said they'd get to it "in the next couple of days!) They were professional, speedy, and replaced the bushes uprooted by my tree when it fell, and also removed every trace of debris. Fedfern is terrific, and comes highly recommended!

A tree had fallen on our house at night, during a wind storm. Luckily the damage to our home was minor, but the tree still needed to be removed. We called Redfern because we had used them two or three other times for tree removal and landscape help, and they always did excellent work. They came out and removed the tree the same day that it fell, which was a relief to us and made our young children feel more at ease when they got home from school that afternoon. The worked quickly and professionally (as usual), and we will continue to use them for future tree removal and recommend them to our friends.

They were on time, pleasant and professional. Price quoted was very reasonable. They took the additional time to make sure that the neighbor,on whose property the tree had fallen, were also happy with the job.

They came out the day after I called because I was worried about tree falling even though they didn't have an opening for a week. We discussed various cost options and they were very professional. MOST IMPORTANT (Other than cost :-) They not only cleaned up their mess but cleaned up a lot of mess and debris we already had. I will use them again.

We had 4 sweet gum trees in the front yard that where becoming a hazard with all of the sweet gum balls on the ground, regardless of all of the raking. It was time for them to go, regardless of the perfect shade they provided. I contacted 5 different companies and Redfern promised the best service for the best price. They delivered the best service, by far. The Redfern contractors arrived on time and started working immediately. They expertly removed the trees and took great care not to damage any other trees or property. They left the yard cleaner than they arrived. I am impressed with the great job they performed and would hire them again.

The job went on great. They were so good. They were very careful. I had a huge tree just behind my swimming pool. The tree was dying and I was afraid that it would come down if the storm comes. I had asked them to remove that tree and there were three other small trees. I was kind of amazed about the cleanup. They had brought a huge wood chipper and they removed the debris. They cut up all of the wood, like they said they would and packed it in a nice way and kept it with the existing pile of wood. They also blew up my swimming pool cover once they were finished. I would use them again in the future. I?m planning to use them soon.

The owner came out the same day I called for an estimate and arrived when he said he would. He walked around with me and listened to my concerns and gave me a fair estimate. After getting other bids we settled on Redfern because of his punctuality, professionalism and fair price. They scheduled the job within 3 days of our contracting it and the men arrive right on time! They were professional and removed all of the trees without any damage and even blew off our decks and pool cover after the job was done. They also cut up the wood for firewood and stacked it neatly and removed all traces of limbs and brush. This was the most positive experience I've ever had with a contractor. We will definitely use the again and have no qualms suggesting them to anyone with a difficult tree job!

They were competitive and we had talked to a lot of companies. They were professional from the get-go. They provided us a certificate of insurance, which was very important. We had somebody that had a lower quote but they would not give us the certificate of insurance. They threw in a free stump grinding. They were the most competitive and professional. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They had a crew of 4 or 5 come out and they were great. They were punctual, polite and courteous. We didn't have any problems. We would definitely use them again and they would be the first company that we would contact.

I called at 8:30am regarding a dead tree that needed to be cut down as soon as possible (a huge branch had fallen from the tree onto the fence). By 11:30am, I had received and approved an estimate and the tree was completely cut down, removed, cleaned up and not even one twig was left behind. Everyone, from the person answering the phone to the estimator to the workers who removed the tree, was very professional. Excellent job at a very fair price.

We had some large shrubs cut down but stumps remained. Also cedar tree and oak tree had overgrown. RedFern removed stumps, pruned oak tree and cut down cedar. They took steps to ensure that work was done safely and all waste removed by RedFern.

We had a dead pine tree that was a concern to two of our neighbors who feared that this tree could drop on their house during a storm. I contacted 3 companies for a quote, the quote range was from $4300 to $1890 (this included the senior discount). The other 2 companies had to come twice before delivering their quote, Redfern gave me their quote immediately. The arrived on time on the Memorial Day weekend (May 24, 08), protected all surrounding shrubbery & trees then began the process of lowering the branches. They removed the branches, cut the tree down in 6 segments with no collateral damage to any surrounding trees or fences. The 6 sections were cut into 8 sections, hand carried to a ledge, then hand carried to the truck. They came back on Sunday 5/24/08 to remove some of the remaining wood & clean up of the site. They did a fantastic job, were very professional addressing our concerns about collateral damage to the area around this tree. The base diameter of this tree at the remaining stump is 35 . Our neighbors who watched this tree removal process were so impressed that several hired them immediately to do their tree removal. If we ever need any more trees removed or pruned, we will have Redfern do the work.

I found Redfern on the List while attempting to contact a variety of vendors due to tornadoes going through my neighborhood. I e-mailed them through the website as first contact. Redfern was the only vendor I contacted who did not return my first contact e-mail, and after 3 days, I called to see if maybe my e-mail had not been received. When I called, I was sent to voice mail, even though I called in the afternoon, during what I would consider normal business hours. I did not receive a return call that night, or for more than a day afterward. When I did finally receive the callback, they did not reference my e-mail at all, and went on as though they had not already missed me twice. They were curt in tone and told me that they would be out of town on vacation for a week. They scheduled an estimate appointment for over 2 weeks out, and gave a time window of 1 - 3 pm. The day before the appointment, they called my cell phone to confirm. The day of the appointment, at 2:33 PM, they called my cell phone to say they were going to be late, and left a message there, because I was in the basement and out of cell range. They did not bother to call my home phone at all, even though I had confirmed I would be at home to meet the estimator. Had they called my home, I could have picked up the phone on the first or second ring. When I finally got the message from my cell phone, it was almost 3 PM, and they had changed the time to 3:30 PM. At almost 3:45 PM, the estimator finally arrived. He rang the doorbell and did not wait for a response. He began walking the property unattended, looking at the trees and branches. He seemed to be in a huge hurry. When I finally caught up with him, he did not ask what I wanted done, he simply asked me if "that" was the tree that needed topping, and did I want the debris removed or left. He seemed uninterested and bored, and he did not seem to care what I really wanted; he seemed to be in so much of a hurry that he did not want to be bothered with me at all. I had to interrupt him to remind him that the primary reason I had called was to get a tree, treetop, and limbs out of my fence. He nodded and went to write up the quote in his truck. He did not discuss any of the other services I needed, and he did not describe what he intended to do, other than briefly mentioning the word "Bobcat", and where it could fit to gain access. I tried to tell him where my septic drain field went, to prevent him damaging my lines while doing the work, but he did not stay focused long enough to discuss it. He was gone in less than 10 minutes. His proposal was written in very vague language and had pre-printed contractual fine print on the back. The quote was for about the amount I expected to pay regarding my project, but his hurried and curt behavior left me feeling that the quality of his work was going to be lacking, so I am looking for someone else.
