Barfield Construction

Our neighborhood is located downtown, and there isn't much parking or space between the houses. Without even asking, the owner of the company (Joe Barfield) and his crew repeatedly parked their large truck directly in my front yard---just feet away from my actual front door. The large, heavy trucks (with monster tires) were driven and parked on top of the grass in my small, front yard day after day. Barfield and his guys continued to park there---even after I noticed and asked them to move the vehicle on two separate occasions. I ended up having to call the authorities to get them to actually move the trucks off my property. As a result, Barfield and his team totally ruined my grass----smashing it on a large part of my front yard. When confronted, the owner, Joe Barfield said to me, "You know there aren't a lot of places to park around here----calm down," as if that made my front yard fair game as a work site. He assured me he would come back and replace the damaged grass, but ignored all my emails and attempts to contact him thereafter. Totally careless, unprofessional, irresponsible, disrespectful to the neighborhood and dishonest about repairing the damage they caused. I can't imagine how this kind of behavior and mentality could possibly overlap into the work they do for their customers. If I were you, the last thing I'd want to do is hire a company that would do this kind of damage to my neighbor's property and leave me to deal with the tension left behind. Totally unprofessional.
