We wrote the review below pointing out both the positive and negative parts of our experience in working with Chris Camp and The Painting Company. What happened next astonished me in a very positive manner. Chris called to inquire about our dissatisfactions and then came to the house to inspect the work done. He agreed that several areas required repainting and promptly scheduled a crew to complete the work to our satisfaction. (One bathroom that required repainting was not the fault of the painters but because oil based paint that was previously used had seeped through the newly applied latex paint.) We were not charged anything beyond the original contract price. Chris said that his primary goal is to have a fully satisfied customer and he would do whatever it took to make sure we were happy. In today's enviroment it is very hard to come across this type of work ethic. We are very impressed and will always consider The Painting Company for our needs. (previous review) We were excited about using The Painitng Company because of the excellent reviews on Angies List as well as the price we were quoted. Parts of our experience were excellent while other parts were terribly disappointing. Chris Camp gave us an excellent price, was friendly, and timely in all correspondence. His crew arrived on time the first day. All work was to be completed in about four days but it took a few days longer. The crew began removing wallpaper in a vaulted master bathroom. Chris told me that they would use a steamer to make it easier and time efficient but the crew did it by hand with what looked like a five in one tool. It took them a long time to do it this way and the technique created new gouges in the wall which then had to be patched several times....perhaps prolonging the job. In the end, they did a fantastic job in getting the wallpaper off. One of the bedrooms and bathrooms that was painted had previous stencil work on the walls. The crew did not sand down the stencils before painting over them. This resulted in a paint job that had visible lines and stencil designs below them. I found it unfortunate that I had to be the quality control manager and ask that these areas be sanded and repainted. The crew complied but when they came back in to repaint, they used an eggshell finish over a flat one. I had no idea that they used different paints until a couple of weeks after they left when I realized that the walls looked funny. At that point I was so annoyed with the lousy attention to detail that I did not call Chris to have them come back and repaint the entire room. At some point I will have to pay another painter to come back and make the walls uniform. In fact, I've noticed at least numerous areas on walls and trim in other rooms where they crew did not paint adequately. We can see milky areas and or previous paint colors. Several walls and pieces of trim will have to be redone. I'm wondering if the crew became frustrated because the entire job was prolonged and this caused them to rush through the work without focusing on quality. One outstanding part of the job was the installation of the crown molding in a bedroom and kitchen. The crew measured accurately and did a great job caulking the seams between pieces. When it came time to patch or caulk over the nail holes in the molding, several spots were missed and this is likely because the crew kept moving from one room to another switchiing jobs between painting, patching, and caulking. I'd recommend that Chris ask his crew to work on one thing at a time so they can focus on quality. I'd also suggest that he teach them to have a better eye for quality and not force this upon the customer. In the end, I don't think I'd ever rehire The Painting Company. While Chris is wonderful, I don't think that customers should ultimatley have to be the quality control enforcer. It's awkward when you have to tell someone how to do the basics of their job and not mix paint finishes or to redo an area that they missed. I am disappointed that many areas of the paint job will have to be re-done.

The owner was so nice. and patient. Choosing a paint color can be daunting and he was so helpful. He put test colors up for me to look at and make a decision. When that didnt work his assistant choose a color that was perfect. Professional taping, draping, painting & clean up.

Danny and his crew were excellent. They protected plants, cleaned up and were on time every day. They went beyond what they had to do, and were interested in giving 110%. Chris Camp was very good to work with on the estimate. Chris also taught me a lot about exterior painting. For color matching, I wanted to do this part myself, and they were fine with what I picked out, and that part went well. The work was started promptly, and the crew that did the work was punctual, thorough, and easy to work with. They used exactly the paint that I picked out (I'm picky). I was able to talk to the head of the crew to make some last minute changes to the work we were getting done, and he was flexible with those. The crew also took care to caulk, and bondo in some areas that needed it. They also took extra time to grind the decking so that the deck stain would go on smooth. One of the crew also helped me to change a light that was at the top of a gable that was hard for me to get to by myself. The gutter guys (Eric and brother) were also excellent, and worked with me to get just the right color of gutter. I would recommend The Painting Co. to other people, and would reuse them again in the future.

Great! Crew, came on time Wednesday morning, very fast with prep work, very courteous and the painting was completed in just a little over one day. Excellent job, definitely recommend.

We interviewed four different companies before deciding to go with The Painting Company. Overall, we chose this company because they were the least expensive quote we received by almost $1,000. We could not find anything different in the overall estimate from the other painting companies. Additionally, this company had great reviews on Angie's List. This made the company selection a no brainer in my mind. The company communication exceeded our expectations. Chris and Andrea were excellent to work with and genuinely appreciated our business. The overall quality of the work was very good. Pros: Chris is extremely helpful, he genuinely wanted to make sure everything was to our liking and that our expectations were exceeded. Andrea in the main office is so friendly and helpful. She helped the job get off to a great start and I really enjoyed working with her and communicating with her. She answered all of my emails very promptly and is very professional. We had a pipe burst in our front yard the night before the job was supposed to start. Because of the pipe burst, we had to turn off all of our water until a plumbing company could come out and fix. Therefore, The Painting Company could not start our job on the planned day since they could not pressure wash our home. They were very understanding of our situation and very nice about everything - we appreciated their understanding. Price - much less expensive quote

Estimator was on time, prompt with his estimate-job. Painters were thorough, very courteous and job was done earlier than expected.

We were completely happy with this company, from start to finish. The presentation was on time, professionally done, and reasonable. When the workmen came out, there was a supervisor there to check on the work at various stages. The two young men who did the work were pleasant, well prepared with the right equipment, and worked very hard, only taking time out for lunch. The final result is great and we would be glad to recommend this company to anyone. JOB WELL DONE!

Quick to get estimate. Started work about 5 days after we decided to use the company. Danny did a very good job with all the information and inspection prior to job and after. Good communication with all personal. Very satisfied.

The painting company was on time and finished the work ahead of schedule. Personnel were professional and Manwell was very talented.

Overall, work was thorough and satisfactory. However, metallic paint job was not necessarily to our standard. Not very happy about lung irritation caused by the spray paint job.

They were honest with me and their work. He replaced boards for woodpecker damage. He had a very reasonable price. They did what they were contracted to do. I was not initially happy with how the house looked. I called them and without any arguments, they came back and put on a 3rd coat of paint. I was very impressed that they went above and beyond to keep their customers happy.

The price was the best of three quotes we obtained. They did an amazing job. Chris /one of the owners, gave us the initial estimate and spent a lot of time giving good advice. Manuel was the lead painter and he was awesome.

The Painting Company was one of three companies interviewed for our painting and repair job. Chris Camp listened and made sure he understood what we wanted and what was needed. He gave us a solid estimate and we knew from beginning to end what to expect. I asked him about colors and he suggested a couple of them but also said that TPC offers a color consultation with Rebecca Dumas of Gregory's Painting and Flooring in John's Creek. I jumped at the chance since I have a "different" taste in color and did not want to make a huge mistake in the colors for our home. I wanted someone who would guide me but not overwhelm me with information. Rebecca called about a week before the painting began and we made an appointment for the consultation. She came prepared and we walked through the house and she listened carefully as I explained what we wanted to do. We chose colors from her palette and we walked through each room with them and looked at lighting and furniture and other factors before I made my decision. We found four colors that would provide the feeling and flow I wanted for our home.If it wasn't for Rebecca I wouldn't have even considered those colors. She was very easy to work with and it was fun! We used all the colors she and I picked out. When painting day came, Manuel and his crew showed up promptly and ready to go. They were organized, professional, courteous and respectful of our belongings and our home. They worked hard from about 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. to get the job done and they put two coats of paint on the walls ensuring even coverage and neatness. All of our furniture was covered in plastic and they covered our hardwood floor with paper. They cleaned up each day and and cleaned up again before they left after the job was done. Manuel showed me where the shingle was missing on our roof and he bought a new one and repaired our roof. He tore out the rotten soffit and put in a new one complete with matching paint and trim and it looks great. I did research on paints before I chose TPC (because I'm just that way) and I liked Benjamin Moore Premium Classic Regal Matte. It had the colors I wanted and the durabilty,smoothness in texture and coverage I needed for the walls. I know there are contractors that will use only certain brands but Chris was easy to work with too and had no problem with using the paint I wanted. The estimate and the final price were the same and was very reasonable for the work involved. The colors that Rebecca and I chose look awesome in our home. It has the ambience I want and it looks brand new. I am so glad I chose The Painting Company and I am recommending them for anyone that needs a painting professional. David and his crew of 2 young men were very careful and did a super job! We have a ranch on a basement and they painted in every room and completed the entire job in 3 days. They worked with me so we could time the job in between coats 2 and 3 of the poly on new site-finished hardwood floors installed in almost the whole house. Very careful job in cleaning up each day, too.

When we called the painting company, they were able to send someone out within a week, working around our schedules to come to the house to do a walk through and give us an estimate. We loved the professionalism of the guy who came out (I'm terrible at remembering names!) and he arrived on time, exactly when he said he would meet us. He did a quick walk through, asked us about our paint choices, details about the trim, closets, bathrooms, and the accent walls. He explained that they used Sherman Williams Paint, and we also discussed finishes (who knew there were so many different kinds of paint finishes?) and he was very patient with my lack of knowledge, explaining the differences so I could make an informed decision. After his walk through, he gave us a detailed estimate and a phone number where he could be reached. After meeting with a few other painting companies, we decided to go with the Painting Company. As I've mentioned before, the painting job took the crew two days. Due to work schedules, we were not able to be present for any of the work. We gave the company a copy of the house key, and they were very good about locking up between the two days. The head painter of the crew that came to the house called each morning when he and his crew arrived and at the end of the day as they were leaving. On the second day when they were finished with their work, I did a walk through of the house and realized they painted one of the other bedrooms the same color as the hallway. This was one of the rooms we requested not to be painted because we had not yet chosen the color/decor for it yet. I called the painting company and they apologized immediately and offered to repaint the room (and it's attached bathroom) for us for free at a later date once we had picked out our colors. A month later we had settled in and picked our colors, and they were able to find a time to send someone out to get the job done (free of charge as promised). They were very professional through the entire process, and we were very happy with the job they did. We will definitely use this company again, and we recommend them strongly!

The whole procedure was excellent. Paul Carris came out and gave me an estimate of the work to be done. He was on time and very knowledgeable. I had a concern about putting stain on the deck, which he had recommended, on top of the paint that had been used previously. He took my question to his paint sales rep to check whether this was a good idea. The answer came back as no it was not, so Paul advised me that they would be using the same type of paint that was used before. The crew came and pressure washed the areas to be painted but due to the weather they were unable to come the following day to begin painting. At all stages I was kept informed as to what was happening and when the crew were to arrive. The crew that came to paint were courteous and extremely hard working. Once the job was finished, on time, I phoned through to the office to make the final payment and spoke with Andreya. Everyone that I spoke to at the Painting Co made me feel that I actually did matter and I was not just a 'job' to them. Great experience.

Clear estimate, they were on time, neat and professional. Cleaned up everything, very thorough. The interior looks great, exceeded expectations.
