Superior performance Quality craftsmanship Could not ask for better job

Three workers spent nearly 4 entire days prepping, printing & paint up 2-story house, including new porch. Worked quickly and asked questions about color choice when appropriate. They seemed to really care about producing a good result.

I used them and they were great. I recommended them. I thought the people who came out to do the work was fabulous. They had wonderful communication with me. When I called to get the balance that was due. There was a couple touch up things to do. They told me to pay a portion of what I owe, and until I was satisfied, I did not have to pay the rest. The guy was professional, and I recommended them to my friends. Their estimate was right in the middle. They were good.

We have an indoor/outdoor deck, and we felt that they didn't put enough stain on the indoor portion of the deck. They came back out again and re-did that portion for no extra charge. They were great. I had no issues. They spoke enough English to be able to communicate. It was good.

Overall the team that showed up were nice mannered and respectfully. Was very happy to repaint several areas that needed touching up. Was told & would start on the 19th. But had non problems.

What to say about The Painting Company... We had initially hired them to paint 4 interior rooms in our home. That experience was great, prompt, professional, and reasonably priced. So, when it came to hiring someone to stain or paint our deck, I decided to pay more for The Painting Company's "professional" service. The Painting Company initially sent out a sales rep, who billed himself as a "deck specialist." That rep told us 1) that we should paint instead of stain and 2) that he'd suggest painting the deck rails white. Since he was the expert, we went with both of his suggestions. We initially had the deck painted in April. Within two weeks, brown spots started to seep through the white rails. I attempted to clean the rails to no avail. I then contacted The Painting Company, who came and applied another coat of paint. The same problem occurred within two weeks of the second paint application. This pattern repeated itself at least 4-5 times. Each time, it took weeks to coordinate having The Painting Company back out to "fix" the problem, with reps not showing up, not returning calls, etc. The final rep told me that 1) we never should have painted and 2) we never should have used white. Toward the end of the summer, after the rails again started to show brown spots, I contacted the owner of The Painting Company to request a full or partial refund. He refused on the basis that the error in materials and color was not theirs but ours. He let me know that I had been under no obligation to follow the suggestions of his "professional deck expert" and that any error in selection was mine. He again offered to repaint, this time suggesting that we change the rail color to a darker one. The Painting Company came as scheduled to ultimately paint the rails a darker color. The paint has held up for the last month, and I am optimistic that the job is now complete 6 months later. Having said that, some of our deck boards have started to warp where they never did previously, and I am concerned that structural harm has been done. Oh, and they blew out our outdoor electrical plug during their final visit, which to their credit they had an electrician fix (when I discovered that it suddenly no longer worked - no one alerted me at the time). It now works fine. Bottom line: I credit The Painting Company for their persistence in trying to fix their errors but found their inability to admit fault combined with the ridiculously long process of getting it right unforgivable.

The first crew they sent to do the job was terrific ! These guys were outstanding! Hard working, organized, just a wonderful.

The painters were on time both days. Finished quicker than stated on the second day. The company was flexible when I add another room and ceiling the day the painters showed up. The painters laid paper or cloth on all flooring. The painters moved furniture and covered it with plastic and removed/replaced wall outlets to paint behind. The painting quality looks great. We had two rooms with bright paint colors. The painters ensured those old colors did not bleed through. I highly recommend and would hire again.

Great guys providing a GREAT service. Hire them and you will NOT be disappointed. Everything went well overall. The crew was nice and professional the painting looks great as well.

The painting itself is excellent- the crew did an incredible, detailed job. Very professional. Unfortunately the professionalism ended there- I called the office the day before our job to confirm several things, including that it was okay for us to meet the crew at my house in the morning and then be gone for the day (in order to remove small child and large dog from the premises). I was assured that yes, my home would be fine, and that I would be able to review the specifics of the job with the crew when they arrived the following morning. On the morning of the job, we were met with a crew who spoke minimal English. The "foreman" (who spoke English) did not arrive until 2.5 hours later, during which time my husband had to unexpectedly stay home from work. The crew did not appear to be clear on what needed to be painted in our house, therefore we were very uncomfortable to leave it lest the wrong places be painted. When I called the office to discuss this concern, it took multiple phone calls on our part to finally speak with someone who was in fact in charge of our job- it came across and harried and unorganized. We were told by one person that they "weren't even sure what crew was at our house," and then by another than someone "was on vacation and we're all just trying to fill in the gaps." These statements made us feel as if our job did not matter to the company, raising extremely high concern on our part as the cost of this job was not something we were taking lightly. Ultimately, I spoke with Chris, the owner of The Painting Company, to express our displeasure at the multiple events of miscommunication and poor service we had received. He did not seem phased by this, even telling my husband at one point that we "were one of 27 jobs in the city that day," thereby implying that we were not a major concern to him. In fact, because of the poor communication and the fact that the English-speaking "foreman" of our painting crew did not arrive to our house until 11:00 am (I was told he would arrive between 8 and 9 am with the crew), the wrong color was painted throughout our house. We arrived to a home that was bright robin's egg blue instead of a light gray. This issue could have been resolved if the foreman had arrived on time, as was promised. The crew came back to our house the next morning with the right color, but we then had to make several phone calls to figure out who would be arriving to our home to do the final walk through. We received no further communication from the owner throughout this. All this to say, hire this company at your own risk. The only reason we aren't giving them an F is because the crew was so kind and truly did great work. The rest of our experience with this company was a complete mess. I would not recommend them to anyone.

The work was very good but if you have a high roof, make sure that they don’t damage your gutters.
