Animals B Gone

I noticed chewing/gnawing noise in the ceiling of our two story den last fall, but the noise went away and I thought I had dodged a bullet. Then this spring the noise was back, and I saw a squirrel going into the gutter and disappearing. I tried to remove the problem squirrel myself with my high-powered and scope equipped pellet rifle, but they are small, fast, and cunning little critters. Plus, if you don't actually see the squirrel in the act, how can you tell which one is the offender? I contacted Shane at Aminals B Gone, and he did a great job explaining what I needed and what it would cost. I also met with two other providers before making the final selection of Animals B Gone. One was my pest control company, which I have been using for over 15 years, but they were way too expensive. Another 'critter" removal company was just too vague, and they wanted me to pay extra for attic clean-up, which I didn't need as the squirrel never made it out of the small entry space. The actual installation by Animals B Gone took the better part of a day. They did a good job and then cleaned up all around the house. They returned about a month later and removed the exclusion door. I used a ladder and checked their work (where I could reach it), and there seems to be no spot where they didn't install the thick wire mesh. I don't see how a squirrel can find an entry point now. I've had no problems with squirrels since, but I also have a two year warranty if they do return.

They were very thorough when they did the job because we haven't had any animals back and we had mice, squirrels and another kind of squirrel and they just kept setting traps and fogging homes, they were just extremely thorough and persistent. I think it's about $1100 at that time but it was a lot of work to patch up all the holes and they showed us how a little animal can get through a dime, space, hole, or whatever, it's smaller than mice and can make themselves get through so they patched up everything and even when we had a leak, they came out and looked and they said it's not a hole but it's were your roofer didn't put in the right cap, the roofer came out and fixed it so they identified another problem for us and how to solve it. They came out because the buyer saw, the inspector again inspected the home for sale, found some rodent dropping and he wanted verification that they were not active and that everything was sealed up and so Animals B Gone came out and verified that everything was filled up and there was no active infestations and are giving us sort of a warranty saying it. They just came out until they fixed those problems, they didn't continue to charge us, that was on one price so it's been done. They're very knowledgeable, very thorough, and very nice people. I'm just saying that we've dealt with, his name is Sean, he's awesome.

Folks, if you have this problem, it does NOT get better on its own. Even if you don't have pets or children of your own, putting out poison is not the way to go. Many U.S. states and other whole countries have banned poisons as they kill indiscriminately-- poison finds its way into, for example, nests of endangered owls and eagles; and dogs and cats have died from ingesting it, as rats, squirrels, etc. who eat it don't go somewhere out of the way to die. Also, if like me you don't like the thought of any animal suffering, you should know poisons don't kill quickly-- some inflict tremendous pain and suffering and can take up to a week to kill. Poison and sticky traps are extremely inhumane and Animals B Gone don't use either. I've been working with them for about a year now and, again, they have been on site and working h****** a regular schedule and whenever I call; and the problem has subsided considerably. As they explained to me in the beginning, subsequent generations of the original rats causing the problem stop seeing my property as an easy target, as the best rodent party-house on the block; and, soon, the new generations don't see my property as a good place for them to be at all. Still... Animals B Gone offer, for no extra charge, the most generous warranty I've ever heard of. I am sleeping much better these days-- traps in my basement are remaining unsprung for weeks and months-- a huge change from the beginning when the guys were out here every few days removing, well, sprung traps. I simply cannot write a more glowing review than this one for Animals B Gone. If you need this service, don't wait for the problem to get worse; and don't hesitate to call Animals B Gone for the job. I don't know of anything they, or any of their competitors out there, could do to make this service any better!

They came and did the service in one day, and I realized that some vents of the roof were not sealed... I called him and a week after and he came back and finished the service without any cost. The service has already 1 year and I neighborhood has an explosion of squirrels. Sometimes I can see some squirrels on my roof trying to break in but so far none were able to get in.

We called Animals B Gone, and Sean made an appt. to come and inspect our house. He was informative, punctual and professional. He told us that we were dealing with roof rats (UGHH!) and probable grey squirrels. He took pictures with his phone and was able to share "evidence" with us of the areas that he inspected. He was very thorough, bringing ladders around the house and getting to difficult parts of the house. He sent a detailed report, including the photos to our email address within an hour of finishing the inspection. Upon agreeing to have the company do the work, Animals B Gone's crew came and worked the entire day placing barriers around the roof of our house ( The construction gap, vents, chimney, and foundation of our house). The crew arrived, with Sean, and they set right to work. They were neat, efficient, and professional. It took 7 hours to complete the work. They worked non-stop with a crew of 4-5 men. I would highly recommend this company. They made us feel very good about a project that is very distasteful. We are very pleased with the way the work was done. They will meet other price quotes from another company but the other company's warranty as well. Animals B Gone warranty their work for life and it is transferrable to the next property owner! This means a lot to us as we now can sleep well at night.

The job went very well from start to finish. The only minor complaint was the no call back when i called in the first time to inquire about the repairs and get an estimate. I did call back a second time and informed them about it and they apologized and they sent someone out right away within two hours. My contractor is Shane Moss and their work is great, very professional and they get the job done with great yard cleanup. i would recommend them for future jobs.

I got a bid from them but I didn't end up using them. They were very good during the whole bid process. They were thorough. Quote was detailed with photos. It was a rodent infestation clean-up quote. This was about 6 months ago.

Over all the removal went well. Have not had any recurrent issues with squirrels. Highly recommended to anyone with similar issues. Ken and his people are aces in my book!

Ken from Animals B Gone came out to our house and inspected our work room where there had been animal droppings for several months on and off. He immediately diagnosed them as rat droppings (I asked if we could just call them mice), and inspected the room carefully. He determined where the, um, creatures, were getting in and said he could exclude them permanently by putting up wire mesh along a portion of the foundation wall (inside the house). He also quoted the hourly rate for sanitizing the space afterwards. We set a date, and one of his colleagues came out and performed the services exactly as described. They put up the mesh and set traps. When they came back about a week later there was one rat in a trap, and they proceeded to clean and sanitize for an hour, vacuuming droppings, removing and replacing befouled insulation, and checking boxes and other things for droppings. It was immaculate when they left and everything was put back on shelves. I think it was neater than before! Before they left, they provided me with a receipt and a guarantee on the basement that no rats would return. Overall, I was very happy with the experience. Ken was straightforward from start to finish. And every time I go into my back room, the floors are free of any nastiness. Yea!!!

Shane came out to give us an estimate on 02/27/2013 and actual services were performed over a period of 2 days (03/07/2013 - 03/08/2013). We received 3 quotes for the same set of services from 3 different pest control companies - all of them highly rated on Angie's list. Animals B Gone is the priciest but we decided to work with them because of the following reasons 1.) they have a focused specialty and are very knowledgeable in the area 2.) the reviews they received are the most relevant to the work we are looking to have done. In the end, we think the work is worth every penny we spent. On both days Shane and his team arrived at around 9AM. They got right to work after explaining their plan of actions to me and were extremely polite. Throughout the day, Shane would give me updates as the work progressed. At the end of both days, the team cleaned up very thoroughly after themselves. On 03/08/2013, the team stayed until around 7PM to finish the project. They also performed extra work free of charge when they discovered that they need to dig deeper and use extra cement to deter rodents from finding its way into the house again. On 03/18/2013, Shane came to inspect & remove all traps - we have multiple projects going on around the house and due to the nature of the projects, scheduling can become quite tricky. Nevertheless, Animals B Gone worked with us to wrap up everything. In summary, we are very satisfied with the work performed (as well as the life-time warranty).

Animals B Gone were here for a week and a half. They were excellent. They did what they said they were going to do and the way they said they were going to do it. Their reputation is excellent, my daughter used them also where she used to live and I have never heard anything bad about them. They are extremely prompt. The price was fair.

The man who came is a qualified wild-life biologist. He knows a lot about the hazards of the squirrels and everything so he did a good job. He was prompt, he came right away.

Initially I contacted a pest control service to handle the mice. However, after bringing them out I found out that they will only trap the mice, they do not perform the "exclusion" to prevent future entry. Around that time we were also hearing a lot of movement in the ceiling between floors and knew had either a squirrel or rats living in the ceiling (also knew of past squirrel activity in the attic). I called Animals B' Gone and they called me back within 24 hours (I called on a Saturday and Dave actually called me back on that Sunday). They came out the following weekend and performed an "exclusion" to seal up the attic and rest of the house to prevent future rodents from getting into the house. To get rid of the current issue they set traps in the attic for the mice and put a 1-way tunnel for the squirrels to be able to get out but not back in. So far we have had 2 checks on the traps and nothing have been caught (and no signs of any mice, we had already caught a few with the previous company). The sounds in the ceiling have not been heard since the exclusion. We actually had a storm a few days after the service in which I saw a very unhappy squirrel sitting in the tree next to my house, I assume because he was unable to actually get INTO my house thanks to Animals B' Gone. Too early to tell for sure how effective the service is, but based on what I've seen I feel confident my house will be rodent free. The lifetime warranty also gives me a lot of peace-of-mind, knowing that if there is a problem in the future then I can call them back out to inspect the work.

Ken, the Manager, came out with another fellow and thoroughly inspected the house. He found some evidence of grey squirrels trying to gnaw their way into the house, but no real signs of entry. He suggested leaving shelled peanuts in the attic and basement and checking to see if they were gone within a week or so. That would be evidence that we had intruders. They did a very thorough inspection, inside and out, including climbing up onto the roof. There was no charge for the inspection.

These guys were great. I had squirrels in my attic. The price was right but more importantly, the service was terrific. They did the trapping of the squirrels and they sealed the attic against further invasion. The workman came on time, did a great job and left promptly. Plus they offered a lot of extras such as raking the insulation in the attic, spraying disinfectant. They even offered to trim the bushes and clean the window above the porch. Dave, the boss, supervised everything and is very personable. He even helped me with a rat problem at no extra charge. As far as I know they are the only pest service that offers a life time warranty on the pest exclusion work with no charge and a transfer of the warranty to the next homeowner for only $75. I would highly recommend this service provider to everyone.

It was a very good experience and I have used them again for a minor job at a new home in 2009 when I had a small animal get stuck in an opening in my foundation.

We had had a problem for years with squirrels and roof rats in our attic and with rats in our crawlspace. We had used the service of various pest control companies in an attempt to eradicate the problem but had little in the way of success. After extensive research and investigation we chose Animals Be Gone to address our ongoing problem. As described above they came in and in one day permanently animal proofed our house. To our knowledge we haven't had a problem since, but the current cold weather will be the real test.

Went great. Very good job. Its very expensive to rid yourself of pests, but well worth it. Lifetime warranty and walked us through everything that was done. It was a 2 day proces and it was amazing how many entry ways these little critters had into our attic.

They came when promised, performed the work, cleaned up and the squirrels are gone and have stayed gone for over a year now. The squirrels or any other animals ever returned to my other house either.
