+ 0 moreSean came to inspect our home after we returned from vacation. Apparently rats had eaten through our dishwasher drainage cords and warped our wood floor. He exposed a major rat infestation and showed us the many exposure points into our crawl space and roof line. At first $1700 seemed expensive but Sean and his team of 6 guys worked for 10 hours straight and did an amazing job on our 1906 built, 2000 sqft home. There is no way any animals including far fewer bugs will ever get into our home. Thank you to the Animals B' Gone team. Highly recommended.
Description of Work: Sealed up our entire home, top to bottom. Removed roof rats and ensured that grey squirrels could not get into the attic.

+ 0 moreMy husband called Animals B Gone for an animal problem in our attic. They determined it was roof rats and explained their procedure for getting rid of them. My husband did some comparison shopping but decided that the lifetime warranty was worth the money. they worked hard all day to seal the house around the roof line plus the air vents in the attic in the gables at each end of the house. Also they sealed the back of a fireplace that had an opening and around an old washing machine drain pipe. they were thorough in discovering possible entry points. They inspected and removed dead rats from the attic promptly. The fireplace had a glass door on it. Lo and behold a rat was trapped inside the fireplace. It took extra care and finesse to capture that one. Sean and all of his associates were professional and friendly. The final inspection is yet to be scheduled. We recommend them without reservations.
Description of Work: Animals B Gone provided sealing of the roof line and air vents in the gables of the attic. They sealed the back of a fireplace and around an old washing machine pipe exiting the house. they removed dead rats and have followed up several times on their schedule or if I called.

We had a whole menagerie of pests - bees, flying squirrels, bats - and they were able to remove the pests and provide exclusionary measures in just a few days. From the moment we contacted them, we received prompt service, excellent follow-up, and courtesy. Sean was very professional and knowledgeable, and honestly seemed to care that our problem would be resolved. The crew worked extremely hard and stayed almost 12 hours in the heat to complete the job in a timely fashion, and ensure that all cleanup after the pests was properly done. Given the number of pests we had, they tried to be very respectful of our budget - much appreciated. I gave them a B on price because theirs was not the lowest bid we received - however, we thought it was the best value, which is why we went with Animals B Gone. We felt that even though the bid was slightly higher that we would be receiving better quality, better follow-up and hopefully the best chance of making sure that our house remains pest-free.
Description of Work: Removal of bees, flying squirrels and bats. Extensive exclusionary work to prevent pests from re-entering the attic. Clean up of waste left by pests. They provided very professional, competent project planning and management; also a large, experienced crew to get the exclusion work done properly and quickly. As well, Animals B' Gone rehung a long gutter that wasn't draining properly, at no extra charge.
Description of Work: Rodent exclusion - flash roofline gap, screen numerous vents, flash roof/eave junctions, flash PVC pipe boots, etc. Also rodent trapping once house sealed.

+ 0 moreThe process was very efficient and professional. They took their time to do the job correctly and attractively. First, they came out to do an inspection. A report/estimate was emailed to me later that day. While not the cheapest of the bids I received, they were competitive and I believed that they would do a better job. They began working soon after to install traps and measures to prevent reentry. The squirrels disappeared within two days. They then came out to remove the traps and decontaminate the attic. The Animals B Gone staff knew what they were doing, and resolved my problem quickly. I would highly recommend this company.

+ 3 moreWe called ABG when we heard activity in our attic. Shane returned our call that day and we scheduled a time for him to check out our problem. While he and my husband where checking the probable area, they say the squirrel trying to go into the attic. Shane got some pictures of him. Shane was very thorough in explaining our options and the costs and patiently answered our questions. He gave me his cell number and told me to call him if I thought of any other questions. He and his crew were always on time and got right to work. Shane was enjoyable to work with, was very considerate and would always remove his shoes when coming into the house. The crew made sure the area was cleaned up when they finished the job. While he was on the roof, he saw some nail holes on the roof that were not sealed. Another company had done some repair work on the roof and we had noticed that it was leaking during heavy rains. Shane sealed the nail holes for us. We have a lifetime guarantee, no more leaks and no more hiring someone to clean the gutters. Animals B Gone is a pleasure to do business with and we would recommend them in a heartbeat.

+ 1 moreIt was awesome. Sean Caruso was the supervisor for our home. He explained everything they were going to do prior to beginning the inspection. He took pictures of all areas of concern (it's an old house so there were lots of areas of concern), discussed them with me and how he was going to treat/resolve these items, and he and his team did the work in a professional manner (no radios, no smoking, no talking about anything but the job, etc). Everyone was friendly and considerate. And they furnished a lifetime guarantee on the work. To top it off, they performed several handyman type favors for us which were completely unrelated to sealing the home against animal invasion. They even refused a tip for doing these favors. It was an incredible experience for us and we are extremely pleased with our choice of Animals B' Gone.

+ 1 moreI got a very professional and comprehensive estimate from Sean Caruso explaining the problem and a permanent solution with pictures and options to choose. Sean and his crew are real PROS and they want to earn your business. They were always on time, responsive and professional - they care about doing the job right and nice enough to take care of the few things (rotten window sill, fix a hole in the stucco created by woodpecker etc) on the house that show their focus on customer satisfaction. They went out of their way to seal the whole house and decontaminate the attic (always removing their shoes when inside the house). They were the best and they provide lifetime transferable warranty on their work that nobody else offers. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: ABG performed a full exclusion on our home to prevent roof rats and Grey squirrels from getting in. Removed gutters, reinforce the drip flashing installed by the roofer and installing new gutters with their rodent guards. They then set traps in the attic and basement. They also performed a level one decontamination in the attic which included cleaning areas without insulation and disinfecting and deodorizing the attic.

+ 1 moreThe estimation process was very thorough and professional. Sean Caruso took pictures of problem areas and included them in the proposal. He did a great job of explaining (in plain English) what was going on in our attic and how the rodents were gaining access. The price was very reasonable relative to the competition and included areas that were never even mentioned by the other companies. We knew the problem would be completely addressed and felt comfortable with Sean and his team. Overall, we were completely satisfied and were given a post-work tour of the house (including 'after' pictures) of areas covered both inside and outside the house. The lifetime warranty was also a differentiator for us as the competitors had very nebulous clauses related to any warranty work they would consider. I would highly recommend Animals B' Gone for any wildlife exclusion services and appreciate the work that they did for us.

+ 2 moreThey were very patient and thorough in explaining the problem and used pictures to show damage. They arrived on time and were very professional. They also offered to take down a dead branch from the tree in the front of the house. It's been over a month now with no evidence of squirrels. The costly portion of the work was putting a steel grate over the gutters and screwing it to the soffit so the animals could not get into the attic by using the gutter as a perch. This solution also helped prevent gutter clogging on one particular down spout that had caused water damage in the house in the past. I wasn't expecting to have to get such extensive work, but the damage was clearly significant (wires and wood). We also got a competitive bid that was about the same, for less detailed work. A neighbor used this competitor in the past but has had squirrels return. Also, a third company was contacted. Their solution was to use only traps. This was half the cost but required the company to come back several times a week for several weeks. Also no guarantees. Animals be gone provided a longterm time/transferable guarantee.
Description of Work: The company removed both flying squirrels and grey squirrels from our attic. They also sealed up all entrances to the roof including vents and gaps between the gutter and the roof (all around the house).

Unfortunately, there was a roof leak and animals dug new holes around my crawl space. He responded quickly to fix the leak, fill the holes, and empty traps. It is a relief to hear no scratches and scrambling in the walls at night.

+ 0 moreThis is a 2-part review: first when the mechanical work was completed but I still heard activity and second, when my experience came to the attention of Ken Boone, the manager. I was frustrated with the first work team. They were very nice (although often inconveniently late) but they were convinced that I was hearing activity on the roof, not within the house. They considered the job complete, and that's when I submitted my first (and not complimentary) review to Angie's List. Upon receiving the Angie's List report, Ken called me immediately and took over my project personally. I cannot praise him enough! He spent hours at my home, looking for a missed entrance, setting up cameras in the attic, and checking traps regularly for activity. He made it very clear that I was his highest priority and that he would continue to do everything he could to find and fix any problems, until I was satisfied. And he was true to his word. I have NEVER experienced such diligent and sincere customer service! I urge anyone with a critter problem to call Animals B Gone.

+ 2 moreShane came to our house the same day we called---even showed up a little early! Did a complete inspection of the house to diagnose our bat situation and found a roof rat problem, too. Looked at our gutters, which we feared might need replacing, and said they just needed repairs. He gave us a quote that seemed really fair. A couple of days later he and his crew came back and worked hard all day, sealing the house and fixing and covering the gutters. They even put a second downspout in a gutter that had only one. A couple of days later, my husband and I noticed a few, small unsealed areas on the house (we have cedar siding) and called Shane back. He was here the next day and took care of everything. We are very satisfied customers.
Description of Work: We had a bat and roof rats, and they sealed all the entry points to the house. Repaired a damaged gutter and installed critter-proof gutter covers. Set traps in the attic.

+ 1 moreIt went great! Animals B' Gone came out the very afternoon that our roofers completed replacing our entire roof. They finished the structural exclusion work and set traps that same afternoon/evening; it took approx. 6 hours. When they came out to remove the traps and perform the level one decontamination, it took approx. one-two hours. The work was well done, and the attic was well cleaned! The rodent guards look great and are securely attached to the roof and gutters. After our final roof inspection, our roofer noticed we needed caulk on the screws used to attach the rodent guards that were under the shingles too close to a ridge. Animals B' Gone came out right away to caulk those screws. We were very happy with the overall service! Overall, they were punctual, available, responsive, professional, hardworking and honest. They did not hesitate to answer any of our questions and were willing to work with us to coordinate our roofing schedule with their exclusion work.
Description of Work: Animals B' Gone came out to give us a free estimate for eliminating our roof rat problem. Sean, the Operations Manager, inspected our attic, basement, garage, and outside around the perimeter of our house and our roof. Then he showed us the digital pictures he took of problem areas and gave us a verbal recommendation of what needed to be done. That same evening, he sent us a detailed inspection report/proposal/estimate with the cost of each item broken down. The costliest part of this project was sealing the entire roof line by reinforcing the drip flashing installed by our roofers and installing their Rodent guard. After Sean and his crew performed the structural exclusion on our home, they set rat traps in the attic, basement and garage. Ken and his crew came out three weeks later to remove the traps and perform a level one decontamination. They cleaned, disinfected and deodorized the attic. No animals were caught. We had a feeling they left our home even before Animals B' Gone and other contractors came to give us estimates. However, we decided to do this project because we've had animals come and go before and did not want to take any more risks. Since this was full exclusion work, it comes with a transferable limited lifetime warranty.
