America's Best Choice Windows

Our recent experience with America’s Best Choice replacement windows installation started off on a rocky note, but ultimately ended on a positive one, showcasing the importance of effective communication and quality assurance in home improvement projects. Initially, the installation crew arrived promptly, but their workmanship left much to be desired. Working well past dark, sloppy caulking, damage to trim molding, damaged screens, and haphazard cleanup efforts left us feeling frustrated and disappointed. However, upon bringing these issues to the office manager’s attention, we were assured that ABC would address each of our concerns. Two days after installation, a supervisor came out to assess the workmanship and address our concerns. He listened attentively to our feedback, noted our concerns, and assured us that ABC would make things right. True to his word, he and the project lead returned four weeks later to correct the deficiencies. What began as a frustrating experience ultimately ended on a positive note, thanks to the communication, responsiveness and dedication of every employee we spoke with at ABC. While the initial hiccups were disappointing, their swift action to remedy the situation restored our confidence in their services. The transformation was remarkable, and we were impressed by their commitment to customer satisfaction. Had ABC taken their time installing our 24 windows, and completed the job in two days rather than attempting to complete the installation well past daylight in one day, they would have earned a five-star rating. Unfortunately, they rushed and got sloppy. For that reason we can only award them four stars. That being said, while our replacement windows installation got off to a rough start, the dedication and professionalism of ABC ultimately turned things around. Effective communication, quality workmanship, and a commitment to customer satisfaction made all the difference, leaving us with windows that not only look great but are energy efficient and should last for years.

Excellent from planning to installation. Pete was my salesman/demonstrator. He got right down to brass tacks. No unnecessary up-sells and no pressure. Did not waste a minute of my time unlike the other two companies I got estimates from. I got same quality windows as the other guys offered for a significant amount less. My installers, Jeremy and Hunter, arrived early, went straight to work and were both professional and personable. No mess was left behind. My new windows are beautiful and I am very happy! If you need windows call these people. Everyone I came in contact with was polite and professional.

Very well. One wrong window in order, but it was reordered and installed at a later date.

Professionalism, punctuality, and price were all great. They were on time, they were speedy, they picked up after themselves, and everything they did was A plus. They are coming back to do more windows for us.

I asked for custom window grills and they did it no problem. Very good price. They arrived on time and finished on time. I had one window with a backward latch that I didn't notice for about a month and they came out within a few days to get it repaired.

This was a very positive experience from start to finish. We interviewed 4 companies before deciding on ABC. We were very honest with each of these companies about their competition. ABC made us feel like they wanted our business and kept working with us to make that happen. Dan was our salesman. They were not the least expensive, but provided very nice windows and doors for a good price. Their warranty is excellent. I had a difficult time with some manufacturers in getting the details on their windows and warranty. ABC and their window manufacturer (MGM Industries) were completely transparent. we had two crews - one for windows, one for doors. They removed and installed 25 windows in 2 days. The doors required a a second visit. Both crews were completely professional. We love both the windows and the doors. We can tell a difference already in the comfort level in the home. They look wonderful. We're quite satisfied.

Bob was our sales representative. Thank God he was not pushy or try one of those three hour presentations. Answer all our questions and presented the options to pick from. We decided to upgrade the glass package, which turn out to exceed or expectations. YES, we can see a savings in our energy bill, but the comfort level is amazing as well. Low e glass is a difference maker. Carlos was our installer who did an excellent job. Maybe a little bit slow, but the attention to detail was well worth it. We will be calling Bob to finish replacing our patio doors.

The only advice I can say is DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. We recently purchased a new house and are renovating the entire home. We have had 5 contractors in/out of the house and ABC was the only contractor that we had a problem with. Not only did we have a problem but I am convinced they are one of the worst companies for window replacements. Prior to going with ABC we saw a few positive reviews on Angie's list and also noticed they were "Trust Dale" certified. I did some research and they seemed like a good company. We got estimates from 3 window replacement companies and I liked what ABC had to offer the best. The sales rep Nick Sabia was very nice, detailed and the process went very smooth at the start. The company notified us when the windows were in (as expected) and then scheduled our install date. The install date came and the installers showed up as expected. Everything to this point was great, after this point is when everything went wrong. The installers started removing the Windows only to stop after 2. They notified me that they were damaging the drywall while removing the windows and they wanted ABC to release them of the liability of the drywall damage. ABC was then called in to review the situation and basically give the installers a "OK, don't worry about the drywall we'll fix that after". ABC told the installers to continue and said they would provide to me in writing that they would fix the damages caused by the removal. I sent follow up emails to Suzanne & Michelle in the office about getting that in writing. They said they would pass the emails on to the President Matt Singleton who would follow up with me. It has been 5 weeks and still no letter. The installers continued removing the windows and installing the new ones. After the first day they had only 6 windows complete but said they would finish the following day. The following day (Tuesday) they showed up and got only 6 more windows in. So we still had 6 windows to go and a sliding door. But since Thanksgiving was the next day they wouldn't' be able to come out until Saturday. I agreed and waited for them on Saturday. They didn't call, show up, or return my calls. Monday I called ABC who said the crew would return that day so I waited. Monday came and went and they showed up unannounced on Tuesday. Luckily I work from home so they got started. They finished the windows and then the sliding glass door. About 9 days had gone by and we were finally getting closer to getting done (or so I thought). After they left I noticed they didn't install the sliding glass door correctly, it protruded 3" outside of the house and looked ridiculous. We were also missing the hardware on the door (handles) of the screen door, and the screen door wasn't installed yet because they were waiting for hardware. I called the installers and they said they would finish the door when they returned to cap the exterior the next day. Wednesday came and went and I never heard from the installers. They then randomly showed up Thursday to cap the exterior. After attempting one window they stopped and called me outside. They explained they couldn't do the exterior capping because they didn't have anyway to screw in the capping, so they would only be able to hold it in with caulk. That was unacceptable so I asked for alternative. They said they would have ABC hire a siding company to trim the Windows with hardy board. They also said they would return with the hardware and install the sliding screen door and fix the issues with the glass door. 9 days and 5 phone calls later I finally had a siding crew at the house. During this period of time the exterior of the windows were WIDE OPEN to the elements. The siding crew did a a great job but half way through the job ABC said it would cost another $1,000 for the trim work to be complete. At first they said an additional $400 (which I was OK with) but then it ballooned to $1,000. At this point we are 3 weeks late and $1,000 over budget and my sliding door still wasn't fixed and we had damaged drywall everywhere. The trim crew left and said the company would follow up with someone to caulk the exterior. The day after the trim crew left we noticed that some windows were sticking out at funny angles. After measuring I noticed NONE OF THE WINDOWS WERE SQUARE IN THE FRAMES! It seems the first installers just eye balled the windows in the frames! A $5 tape measure would of fixed the issue! So we told ABC not only did they need to caulk the trim, fix the door but also had to fix the crooked windows! Finally ABC sent out one of their employees to square the windows, only to have him realize that it was a two man job. So again we had to wait 2 more weeks for them to come out and square the windows, fix the sliding door and caulk the exterior. The job was completed finally on 2/4. The job was supposed to take 1.5 days and instead took almost 3 months. We fought to have ABC give us compensation and after all this they only knocked $250 off the price. If you took the time to read this you'll realize this isn't the company to go with.

They were on time. Did a great job. The weather wasn't the best so it took a bit longer than they had hoped, but can't fault them for that. Also we have found a couple of small shards of glass on the back patio, but it was covered with leaves so they would not have known they were there.

Horrible!! I am out $3,454.75 and having to file lawsuits to try to recoup my money. Matt Singleton told me that the local representative was a franchisee. Upon doing research I found that their was no franchise or separate company (in fact the previous llc had been taken over directly by America's Best Choice Windows) and Joe Butler was an employee of Americas Best Choice Windows. ABC Windows has refused to refund my money, deliver the Windows, or do anything to make it right. Their action was a phone call with no follow up to me.

Salesman was very courteous, knowledgeable, and did not waste our time. All questions were answered thoroughly. Crew was on time, cleaned up after their work, and did an excellent job with the install.
