SPECIALTY BUILDING PRODUCTS

The crew was punctual, courteous and worked quickly. The installation took a day and a half. A second crew arrived on 4 Sept, as previously agreed, to remove the old finish from the existing flooring. They also were courteous, competent and worked quickly. I expected to have a mess from the sanding, but they hung plastic 'curtains' in the doorways to separate the work area from the rest of the house. The vacuum on their sanders was very effective in keeping down the dust! They vacuumed all areas when they were finished sanding and applied the first coat of finish that day! The first crew returned the next morning to sand the floors with fine sandpaper before vacuuming again and applying the second coat of finish. They were in the house less that 3 hours. The last morning, they again arrived promptly at the appointed time, sanded lightly, vacuumed and applied the top coat of finish. The floors were dry by that evening, but as advised, we did not begin walking on them until the next day. The floors look GREAT!! I know where the repairs and the interface between the previously existing floors and the new flooring are, but I was here and watched them being installed. There is no way to tell from looking at the finish or the floors!
