+ -1 moreKitchen remodeling was great except for the flooring. The floor wasn’t leveled between the kitchen and dining room (like I was told was going to be done) before the LVT was installed.

+ 1 moreHis guys worked quick. I don't know if it was all his guys or a collection of smaller contractors doing the work, but they got the job done. As with all contractors you have to go around after the work is done and point out what is not right.
Description of Work: FHA Mortgage with construction loan. Some windows, doors, siding, trim, fascia, soffit, roof patching, sheet rock work, and gutters.

+ 1 moreFirst the counter tops were taken out.Then new countertops put in. All new appliances added. Lighting redone with new led lighting in kitchen. New sink put in. We had an over the stove microwave put in also. Added an attic access in the garage. Also added a screen door to screened in porch. All work done was excellent Kitchen turned out just like we wanted and are extremely pleased .

+ -1 moreIt was estimated that the work would take a few hours but it ended up taking the whole day. That increased the cost of repair much higher than the estimate but that was OK to me because the work seems to have been done the right way (not a sloppy job) and once they got into the work (removed some panels) they realized more needed to be done.

Description of Work: A COVERED PATIO In planning this job, I discovered that the existing patio concrete pad would have to be moved to line up the center roof line of the house. Also, the patio location would have to be changed to have windows not interfere with support posts.This was done in short order and consideration was given to extra weight ( footings were figured in the estimate) that would be added by proposed posts, OBS, beams and shingles. Mark Long (owner of Long General Contracting) was very knowledgeable and prompt in providing an estimate. I am a consumer that not only looks at the estimate price,but also, the contractor as far as other contracts, planning, adherence to schedule and completion date. I was well pleased and,although Mark was not the lowest bid, I feel my money was well spent. With thoughts in the future of turning this patio into a Florida room, I am well along the way. However, as of now, I am enjoying hot days in the shade and rainy days still out on the patio. I would recommend Long General Contracting to anyone that is in need of remodeling of their home or business. WALTER BUNTE

+ 1 moreMy Wife and I moved from Pennsylvania to North-West Georgia and our new Home had one fairly large, broken window that our Insurance company said needs to be fixed ASAP or they would drop our coverage. I searched Angie's List for locale contractors and decided to give Long's Construction a try. I called Mark explained the situation my Wife and I were in with the Insurance Company and asked for an estimate to replace the whole window with an efficient unit that will not look out of place compared the the rest of the windows on our House (Style and Color). Mark came right out, took his measurements, researched the available window options and quoted us a reasonable price for the job. He ordered the window and completed the extra paperwork the Insurance Company needed without complaint. The window arrived sooner then expected and Mark, with one of his employees, installed it the next day. They were polite, clean and did an exceptional job. My Wife and I have already decided that they will be replacing all of our windows and doing a few other projects around here.
Description of Work: We had a broken 60"x60" Aluminum slider window replaced with a new Vinyl Side by Side - Double hung window unit

+ 0 morejust told Mark what we wanted and he laid out a time frame and a price. The entire job went just like he said it would.
Description of Work: repaired and replaced damaged staircase tread and hand rail. He had to disasemble the entire staircase and reasemble.it looks great and very solid.
