The wall unit oven in a rental house suddenly stopped working, and the tenant found it beeping and flashing. This company came out and initially quoted $350 for repair. Later, they called back and said it would instead be $700 as they discovered that the touch pad control was not functional. I reluctantly approved the repair (the oven is a 1998 model, and I likely could have replaced it with a used one for considerably less or a new one for not a great deal more). I later received a bill for $750. The bill did not itemize the costs of the parts or the labor. I tried looking up the parts online, and it appeared that each would have been $100 or less. I have no idea what they charged for each part or what the labor amounted to. Perhaps all the charges are legitimate and reasonable. The trouble is, I cannot know this, as my final bill did not indicate what I was paying for. Meanwhile, after one use the oven went non-functional again. That was in April or early May. i write this review in late September and the oven is still not repaired. This is, I think, partly because it has been difficult to align his schedule with our tenant's. Still hoping he'll make it right. If he does I'll come back and revise. UPDATE: They finally connected with our tenant and came back out. So far as I know the oven is now functional. Still unclear to me what the ultimate trouble was, though it sounds as though a bad circuit board was installed. Seems like as good guy who means well. Things just didn't go so great with our overall experience.
