The last time they came, they were great. We've had a lot of problem with getting service in the past and how long it takes to get them online. But the last time they came, it was excellent. It's hard to get them, when you're having trouble with your computer, it's hard to get them on the phone and it's hard to understand who you're talking to. If you can finally get passed that... This particular time, we had trouble with our telephone. Our telephone wasn't working. They came out exactly when they said. You have to go through all of their on-line stuff (punch all those buttons on your phone) before you can get to somebody. When they realize they can't help you on the phone, then the person that came out, he came out exactly the day and time he said and fixed it in a reasonable amount of time and didn't charge us anything. It would have cost pretty badly for that. It's frustrating to get them on the phone, sometimes with them. I rent their modem so he was able to fix it. It actually ended up being a wire that got pulled out of the modem. The technician that came out was wonderful but getting to the help is frustrating with Comcast. Their automated system is burdensome. I've never had any conflict with anyone that actually comes to my house, it's just getting to my house. The price for the service, he didn't charge me anything. That was fine. but the price for overall Comcast is a little bit pricey. When it's working, it's great. Depends on if you're asking about their automation, if you have to go through that, the grade will be a "C" for responsiveness. For the person that came out, the punctuality would be an "A". Comcast is a good product, they do well, but they are a little bit pricey. It's just the automated thing that you have to go through to get help. That's my complaint with them. I would use them all the time.

A couple of years back I had an issue where my Internet was dropping every day at prime-time. It took about a month to get it fixed and was very frustrating. They did give me a nice credit though, and I've noticed that in the last 2 years, customer service is a lot better than it used to be. At this point, in 2014, I am very happy with the quality of their actual service. If you have DISH or DIRECT TV though, and they come out, make sure they don't cut your lines for your satellite wiring. They did mine. I was going to use that wiring.
Description of Work: Comcast has got a lot better in recent years. I use them for Internet service and tv. I rarely have outtages. The speed is fast.

Dealt with techs on phone at least 6 times after initial installation. In first 3 weeks of supposed service I did not have two consecutive days of service. Finally last tech came to house on 10-06-14 and said trouble was because Comcast took my HD away....their error.....tech was fabulous and here only 10 minutes.....but Comcast charged me $39.95 for service calll for their error and all that turmoil of not repairing correctly in previous tech and quot;helpand quot; on phone.

I had researched many plans and was extremely worried about having to sign up for a contract plan through comcast or even switch to another provider such as dish or direct tv. I had even tried to do the online chats with agents working for comcast but it was too time consuming and I never got anything accomplished. Being a comcast customer, I decided to call the customer service number (1-800-XFINITY). After explaining what I wanted, the agent found the plan for me. Everything took only 25 minutes and that included setting up my e-911 service. A few days later my new all-in-one modem arrived in the mail and installation was very simple using the provided instructions. For me to say that means it really was simple because I am not a technology savvy person. I also set up the wireless connection on my iPad with ease. I am very pleased with service and products that comcast provided once I CALLED and spoke with one of its very knowledgeable agents.
Description of Work: Comcast added a home phone and more movie (and other) channels to my existing service without a contract. All the details were handled over the phone talking to a real person. The agent found the best deal for me and it only added $10 to my current cable bill.

I felt like the clinician pushed for the person to come to my home and did not tell me there would be a charge. When the clinician arrived was very nice but didnt tell me there would be charge until he was done. it was a crimped chord I could have fixed with a little trouble shooting.
