Absolutely recommend this company. My gas heater was working, except not allowing gas to ignite through the chambers. Mr. Keen checked the system thoroughly and found that the thermostat was not sending a signal. He offered to replace the thermostat with one that he had but, I have 4 units and wanted them all to be the same. He was so kind to show me how to replace a new one, including writing down which color wires go to which letter. He also gave me a small jumper cable and showed me how to connect it, so that if I needed the heat to come on before I could get a thermostat, that I would have heat. He renewed my faith in honest, compassionate service!! I will call him from now on for any heating and air issues I have.

After reading the reviews and being referred by a family friend, I contacted Alto Heating and Air due to my central A/C not cooling. I spoke to Jerry on Thursday morning and he said he would be out that afternoon. He called me around lunch and said the job he was on had ran into some issues and he wouldn't be able to make it that afternoon and asked if Friday was okay. I told him that was fine but it would need to be after 1200 due to my sons kindergarten graduation. He said no problem. I called him back around 4 Friday afternoon because he had not shown up and got no answer. I have yet to hear from anyone at Alto even after several attempts and several messages left.

After having the same company come out 5 times with no fixes, rhymes with Rudy's.... I checked Angie's list for the first time and hired Alto simply on reviews. Jerry was very responsive and answered his phone and went over my whole system, he spent about 20 minutes under my house checking things out. It took a while but they fixed it with minimal cost as no parts were needed.I would trust Alto again and would recommend them to my friends and family. I plan to have my Air Handler changed out and will definately hire them for that job also. Call em, tell'em Brian sent you from Angies list :P

I called Jerry and he set up an appointment with my daughter who lives at the residence;he came out as promised and got our A/C up and running;his kindness and professionalism according to my daughter were highly commendable.I will definitely use him again should the occasion arise and recommend him to all my neighbors and friends in Rome.

ALTO HEATING and AIR I found Alto Heating and Air, in the phone book. They were quick and cheap.

Jerry returned my call about an hour after I called yesterday (9/7/2011) and made and appointment for today at 10:00am; he was on time and resolved the problem with little trouble. Since I live out of state all this was done using Angies's list and reading all the customers reviews. He said he would call me after the work was performed and give me an update on task performed and resulting cost. He did as he had promised. He was a true professional and caring individual.I plan to use him in yearly followup and would not hesitate to recommend him to my neighbors and friends..great job and service!

Overall, I am extremely pleased with the service, understanding, and honesty. Needless to say it is cool upstairs!

We spent $60. They have a very good price in the area. He did not come on the day he was supposed to come. He came on another day when he was in the area. We will use them in the future.

I called in the AM and left a message. They called back about 10 minutes later. We scheduled a visit for the next day around 2PM. They called around 1:30PM to let us know they would not be able to make it before 5PM because they encountered some problems at another customer's house. They showed up at 5:30PM. They worked in the dark (with a flashlight) for about 30 minutes. They were very nice and courteous. They did not want to charge us. However, when they came back - as promised - the next day to fit some rubber pieces under the unit to level it, I insisted to pay for the service ($60).

They came the day I called to diagnose the problem and then gave an estimate. I also called another local company, which came the following day with a much higher estimate. I called Alto after the other company left to schedule a time. Because our weather was near freezing temperatures and our only downstairs heat source was a fireplace, they offered to get started that same day after their other scheduled jobs, at no extra charge. They came at 4:00 and stayed until after 7:00pm. The work was completed the next morning. They gave me options for repairing the existing furnace and explained the pros and cons for fixing vs replacing. The other company told me that it couldn't be fixed. We decided to go ahead and replace it because we'd like to sell in the near future and thought a new furnace may help a sale. They were punctual and tidy, polite and reasonable. We couldn't ask for a better experience.
