I received Corey's number from another contractor to drywall a 24 x 14 outdoor shed. Corey called me right back, came by the next day, gave me a very fair price, and had the job done in 3 days.
Description of Work: Drywall, mud and tape a 14 x 24 outdoor shed. I provided the Drywall.

Breach of Contract - Mud Masters Drywall will take your money without completing the work agreed upon. Oral Contract Terms: On 8/23/2019 the Contractor agreed to drywall a duplex located in Savannah, GA. The drywall work included installing 40 pieces of 4' x 8' x 1/2" pieces (1,280 square feet) of drywall, taping and mudding the drywall and applying orange peel texture coating. I gave him a deposit $1 ,500 - half the agreed upon amount ($3,000 for the job, with half $1,500 down) for dry walling materials. Description of defendant/s breach of contract: The contractor finished less than 5% of the work in three months. I notified the Defendant he was fired for a breach of contract and he should refund me my payment. On 11/7/19 he acknowledged he received my request for a refund via text but has not provided a refund. Throughout the three months, the Defendant told me he would get the work completed, but did not. Bryan County Magistrate Court Case Case: MGCC2019000574 Results: IT IS HEREBY ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that a Default Judgment be rendered in favor of Plaintiff against Defendant Mud Masters Drywall

My wife and i unfortunately hired Cory to finish our walls and ceilings to get us ready for paint, and now we are out $900. Against better judgement, i trusted him and paid 1/4 up front ($900). Even though the reviews and his personal history tell the story, i wanted to give him the chance as it seemed he was ready to go to work and prove himself. I couldn't have been more wrong. He wanted to be conservative in when he told me they could start, hoping it would be sooner, which i could understand. He said 7-10 days. They didn't start for two weeks. Two more weeks went by and they never had more than two guys, one of which couldn't do much besides fill holes. They worked a total of 3 days, one of which they only had one guy there. They showed up at 10:30 roughly (blamed it on 204 traffic) and were never there later than 4. I continued to listen to his excuses until a month came, and i still had tape joints that weren't complete, no corner bead run, and ceilings that hadn't even been started. I had again earlier made the mistake of paying them another $900 after they had performed the back to back days with two people and seemed to be focused on our home and assured us they'd be done in time for trim. After giving him the chance for a clean break and giving me some of our money back, he continued with the excuses as to why he couldn't come up with the money that he even offered to return at one point ($600). I put some pressure on him to pay today (12/7/17) and he called me cussing and yelling, and basically telling me that i wasn't getting any money from him. Come to find out from folks i know that live in Richmond Hill and grew up here, Cory has had some issues in the past and that is evident in his attitude, lack of respect, inability to communicate maturely and take responsibility, and dismal business acumen. Please don't make the same mistake some of us have. At this point we will take this to small claims court and carve out time weekly to tell our story to as many websites, subs, home owners and home builders in the area. If you have any questions or feel tempted to give him a chance, please message me and id be glad to tell you the rest.
Description of Work: Only needed Cory and his crew to float out the walls and ceilings to get us ready for paint and trim.

Response from Mud Masters Drywall
Mr. [Member Name Removed], I am truly beside myself with maturity level that you have taken this to. I respected your request that you no longer needed my service do to the fact that I did not show up on the day my Aunt Katherine Kirk was being laid to rest. I agreed to reimburse you back part of the deposit you had paid. Since then It's been nothing but false statements and threats from you via text message and social media. You have refused every offer that I have suggested. It seems by your actions that you are getting satisfaction from this situation. Sadly, your actions not only effect Mud Masters Drywall but my family. If you feel that you have been cheated and legal actions need to be taken then I ask you, please save your threatening words for them to hear.

DO NOT HIRE!! Cory will come out for a quote and make you feel as though your job is super easy and will give you an estimate for time of completion. He is NOT punctual. He never arrived when he told us he would, and this "1-2 week" project took over a month. Cory hung our tv and didn't ask how we wanted it centered above our mantle and it ended up not being centered. He said he would come back and rehang it but never came back when he said. VERY frustrating to deal with and VERY unprofessional.

The provider asked me to trust him and give him the payment up front because I was going out of town. Then failed to show up or finish the job when he said he would. He cost me extra time and I had to delay all my other contractors. Took three weeks to do 900 square feet of space in Drywall. If he had other jobs prior to mine and could not get to my job he should have not taken my money and he should have notified me so I could have hired someone else. Hung the Drywall prior to installation of insulation. Then charged me to take it down and rehang it. He said he would install the installation if I paid him. He charged $300.00 more than a regular insulation company then didn't install all of the insulation in the ceiling until I brought it to his attention. Then he charged me to dispose of the debris and materials left over from the job when he should have taken it with him after the job was finished. Even though I paid him for the disposal it took him a month to haul it off. He took his time to do that also. Several weeks and several text begging him to do what I paid him to do. Still he didn't get all of it and I had to hire someone else to get the rest of it. The provider would promise to come by and finish the drywall job but would not show up. I've had to beg him with several text to finish a job I have paid him to do. Finally I had to threaten to get another vendor to finish I to get to show up. To date he still has not finished the job. His men came in with a big rotary sander and sanded the paper backing until the walls looked like they had a rough fuzzy texture. They ruined the drywall coverings They left a big hole arounf the ceiling vent fan in the shower. The fan could not cover the hole they left. they did not case the window properly and left a gapping space not covered by the drywwall at the top of the window. i had to have the window cased in by a carpenter to close it. I definitely would not recommend this company!!!
Description of Work: The provider was hired to Install Drywall in an 800 to 900 square foot space. The provider failed to do all I paid him to do in a timely manner. It took a month or more to do a four day job.
