Description of Work: A carport was converted into a storage shed. I am very pleased with the work that Low Country Services did. The shed matches my house and I have received many compliments on how it looks. The construction was professionally done and the price was very reasonable for a shed with 2 large doors, 4 windows, and electrical outlets for air conditioning, lights, and outdoor tools. I would definitely recommend this company for excellent service.

Description of Work: They replaced the attic stairs in our hallway - removed the old one and installed the new one. The old stairs were broken to such a degree that the cover would not close. We already had the replacement stairs delivered but could not do the job ourselves. Jody Johnston was wonderful - efficient, punctual, was willing to work with us on scheduling (and believe me, that was really doing something!), and very reasonable ($185) for labor. They also cleaned up afterwards! Very professional, good attitude, willing to go the extra mile in scheduling - I would definitely use them again. And the new stairs look and work great!

Description of Work: I have used LCS multiple times now for a number of different reasons: a new backyard patio, new laminate flooring, new wooden fencing around my yard, and emergency plumbing repair (floor slab leak), over a holiday. He is always responsive, thorough, and makes sure the job gets done right and to my satisfaction. His prices are more than reasonable. Would highly recommend him for any job.

Description of Work: Replaced post on front porch (they said all 4 post looked bad and needed to be replaced). Hired to stain porch floor. They used a hand sander and gouged the floor. The stain was applied unevenly. They pressure washed the side of our house, used the wrong nozzles which ended up leaving swirly marks on the house. Those marks could only be removed by painters. Therefore we had to have the entire house repainted by professional painters. I would never recommend Low Country to any one.

Description of Work: They stained my deck with the stain I selected and got it completed in one afternoon. They left the remaining paint for future use and provided the receipts for the purchase I the stain. There were some areas that needed touching up and they fixed them. They followed up with us to make sure we were satisfied with their work. I would use them again.

+ 1 moreThis is only the second time I used Angies List as the first few times were not with the best results. I have used Craigslist many times, and more times than not I've been disappointed in the people and the work quality received. I first contacted Joel, the owner of Low Country Services back in late April and within a few days he came over and got the details of the work we wanted to have done, which at that time was only the deck w/wheelchair ramp and steps. A few days latter we got the estimate back to us. In the meantime, I also added on a brick paver patio. His price came in a bit higher than some of the other estimates, but after meeting him and seeing his reviews we just knew he was the best choice for us for this project, and hopefully others. I can not stress enough how many contractors of various services we have used over the past 8 years, and most were just big disappointments due to shoddy workmanship and not doing what they promised. I am super pleased to say this time we got more than expected and could not be happier with the entire process. Joel started the project within a couple of days of our agreed date (due to weather conditions the previous week). He gave us a 3 to 4 day time span for the project with the understanding that weather could cause delays. The day he started the deck project he was here on time and unfortunately for him and his helper it was also a very hot day. This did not stop him, and over the next 3 days the heat continued and he kept going and doing what he promised. During the construction he kept us updated and asked questions and listened to our wants and concerns. He was always very polite and patient with us as we made some last minute changes that we, or he, felt were needed. He used high quality materials and paid attention to the details that made this job a bit more tedious than some due to the wheelchair ramp specifications. Each day he was here until the early evening and always left the area around our house clean and organized. At the end of the third day the work is 99% completed and he will return only to finish off a few small details. We are so pleased to finally have found an excellent building services contractor and highly recommend him to anyone. We have other projects that we hope to get done over the next few years and he is without a doubt the person we plan to have do those. We could not be happier as I said earlier with both the end results and working with Joel to get this work done right. He is a true professional and that is something very hard to find.

Description of Work: They replaced rotted wood on back of house from water damage They added a rain diverter. Jody and his partner began work exactly when they said they would. Began to replace rotted wood on back of house from water damage. As they began to tear out the rotted wood they found a major beam to the house also rotted. It was decided to replace that also. The tear out of wood was extensive and they worked very hard to complete this project. At the end of each night, they would clean up everything and blow off all the debris. They completed the work in the time frame they stated. They also added some new wood to areas of our deck that looked bad (which was not in the initial agreement - a freebie). The deck also had to be torn out and put back together again. They also added a rain diverter.

Description of Work: Expert Craftsmen and Totally Professional Work. My house exterior was in desperate need of an overhaul. Low Country Services quoted a reasonable price to completely refurbish (cedar wood and screens) my back porch, replace water damaged cedar and garage door on the backside of the house. Following the repairs they were hired to pressure wash and paint the exterior of the house. While washing the exterior they noted much more wood damage to include that the chimney was totally rotten. They quoted the additional work and it was all reasonable to me. In addition, they found the outside lights were in need of replacement. Again provided a quote that appealed to me and completed the exterior light replacement. They completed the work on time to include all the additional maintenance, kept the work area clean and cleaned up all the debris upon completion of the project. You can see the before (yellow/white) house and the after (blue/white) house on Angies List under Low County Services, LLC. Bottom line, I was totally satisfied and fell great about the new look of my house.

+ 1 moreOver all the service was excellent. They showed up on time and finished the work ontime and at the price quoted. If any other damaged was found and not previously discussed no work was done without first checking with the owner and describing in detail what should be done. This was greatly appreciated.
Description of Work: House was pressure washed and then checked for any bad siding (cedar). The warped and damaged siding was removed and then replaced. Also the bad trim around windows was removed and replaced. The house was then caulked and then painted. All material was then cleaned up and removed from property.
