Description of Work: They talk a good game until you buy. After the sale, good luck getting your one-year home warranty items taken care of. I wish I had known before we bought. The house is decent and seems well constructed. But, their customer service is virtually NIL!!! You will get caught in a never-ending web of "Oh, I'll forward that to this person" and "Oh, I didn't know about that!" DOCUMENT ALL correspondence with them. Record conversations!!!

Description of Work: We bought a home from Ernest homes in the above mentioned date in Richmond Hill GA. Upon buying the home we have had nothing but problems with the house. The above mentioned subcatagories are the areas we had most of the problems. On the day of closing, we told them about some of the issues on the walk through that needed to be fixed, but they refused to fix them. on top of that the house was very dirty. Since we are military and had to move, they knew this. THe day we moved in the cabinet in bathroom fell out of the wall, the shower upstairs leaked through the ceiling ($1500) the diswahser was rancid and dirty and broken and then not to mention some of the other issues like a shakey staircase, bad insulation, broken irrigation system and many other problems. The day we moved in we called them about the ceiling leaking upstairs and they said that they bought us a warranty, but they would fix the problem because it was not one they would fix. Ernest homes would not even come out and look at it. They are the most unethical company I have ever seen. I hear from some of the tradesmen in the area they are always in court due to bad business deals. They promised to fix a drawer in the kitchen at the closing table that was broken, but when I asked about it after the closing they said they never said they would pay to fix it. Again very unethical folks here. In my neighborhood I have since heard that they are very much disliked because they built very cheap homes that are not in good condition and that they refused to fix the items. I STRONGy ADVISE MILITARY MEMBERS not to do buisiness with ERNEST HOMES OR ANYONE WHO WORKS WITH THEM. You will be sorry. We have spent on average about 25K on all the repairs and items they would not fix. Or on items they did half jobs on to begin with. We are pursuing this on post, but be warned if they do this to everyone they are going to continue doing this to people.
