 + -1 moreAfter getting stood up by multiple electricians, a friend suggested that I contact Burkett Electric. Mr. Burkett came to my house to fix a lot of broken switches, outlets, and circuit breakers. He showed up on time and completed the job in a speedy manner. He has a great demeanor, and tells it like he sees it. I would definitely recommend him for any job, big or small.
Description of Work: Troubleshoot many electrical gremlins.

 + 0 moreAn appointment date and time was made. Mr. Burkett showed up promptly. I explained the problems that I was having. Mr. Burkett went right to work assessing the problems. Once his assessment was complete he briefed me on what needed to be repaired. He said he may not have two specific items (for outside pond and tree lighting sockets) in his truck. He completed all the interior issues and had to come back with the two outside lighting sockets. Mr. Burkett returned with the two outside lighting sockets after the parts were on hand and completed the work.
Description of Work: I had quite a bit of electric outlets inside & outside that were no longer working. I had a porch light that didn't work anymore.

 + -1 moreGood experience, from setting the appointment to completing the repair. I would recommend them.
Description of Work: The company is local to the area and been in business many years. They returned my call promptly and scheduled an appointment to come to the house. I needed some wiring checked out for motion detection outside flood lights that were tripping the circut breaker when they came on. They had to crawl the entire attic in very cramp areas and found one of the staples that had been used to hold the wiring in place had cut through the wire. They ran new wire and completed the repair.

 + -1 moreMade a call to Burkett Electric after noticing a problem with lights dimming in one of my rooms and power occasionally shutting off in the same room. He made a diagnosis over the phone that it was probably no more than loose wires in the breaker box. After arriving he immediately identified the loose contacts. After tightening the problem was gone. Very professional and he made it out to my house very quickly. I would definitely recommend Burkett Electric and I will use them again if needed. A and quot;go toand quot; for me.
Description of Work: Tightened up all of the contacts in the breaker box.

Description of Work: We were /are having a continous problem withour water heater. The plumber suggest we have an electrician check out the breaker in the service panel. We called Mr. Burkett from Angie's list. He arrive and after the explaination of the difficulty, Mr Burkett check, adjusted and tighten the connecting screws of the wiring in the service panel, on the water heater, and the service entry point where the meter is located. He suggest we install a surge protector for the service panel which we agreed to. The shock was when it was time to write the check. The surge protector was $100 as mention prior to installing it, and the labor $150 which I thought was a bit high for less than two hours. My fault for not asking what his lobor cost would be before he started the job.

 + -1 moreWe had a power outage in one room of our house - no reason why we could see (we checked the breakers) but the lights just wouldn't come on. We called Burkett, and they had someone out within an hour or so -- they actually told me it would be the end of the day before they could come, but they fit us in by 9 am. Found the problem quickly (a loose wire) and fixed it, and that was that. A small job, but done well and promptly.
Description of Work: Serviceman found a loose electrical wire and fixed it.

 + -1 moreAlthough it was a simple repair, it was performed quickly and professionally.
Description of Work: We needed a ceiling light repaired. My service call was returned promptly and the electrician repaired it the next day. He made an effort to work around my work schedule, too. We will definitely use this company again.
