Phenomenally. My home looks like new. In addition to just painting my house, I took the opportunity, with Alex's help, to replace some of the dry-rotted Louisiana Hardy board on my house, replace my chimney cap, replace my screen porch, replace my shutters, lighting sconces and repair windows in the garage. I had dry-rotted, water damage window frames in the garage which he removed and dry-walled over one, and repaired the other. Saving me hundreds in the process of replacing them. His crew was professional, and never stopped working. He quoted the job being complete in 2 weeks and he was. During the paint job, he offered, and I took advantage of re-screening my entire 50 foot back porch and all the wood trim associated with it. Also, he took the time to let me know my chimney cap was completely rusted out causing additional water damage. He replaced it and now it no longer rains into my chimney. I could not be happier with the level of service, professionalism and finally, the way the job turned out. I have already recommended Alex to friends who plan on using him and I plan on using him in the future for some interior paint jobs I'd like done. Thanks Alex!

Have known Alex for a few years and he has completed several projects for me. Previously Alex had put in recessed lighting, under cabinet lighting as well as scraped popcorn ceiling and paint in my kitchen and hallways. Not only that he built stairs for my wife to make it easier to get into our pool. This time Alex scraped the ceilings in the living room,formal dining room, two bedrooms,an office and a two car garage as well as installed crown molding,chair rail and window trim. He also put a custom closet in one of the bedrooms and an epoxy floor in the garage. Next project will be the Master bed and bath. I highly recommend Alex and the crew for any job you may have.

You WILL NOT find better craftsmen to work on your house and their price was lower than 3 other bids. This is the third time they've done work. Simply outstanding. Did carpentry work on the eaves, repaired ceiling drywall where wife put knee through from attic, repaired corner taped joints in 20' ceiling. Repaired drywall ceiling in garage that had to be removed to access plumbing for upstairs bathroom. All the work is PERFECT! I'll never use anyone else.

Requested quotes from several providers. Their quote was competitive but not the lowest. We accepted the quote and they actually arrived ahead of the projected start date. The work was completed in several days as promised. We were pleased with the quality of the work and we are currently having them come back to quote additional work.

Excellent. Alex started when he said he would. The job took exactly as long as he said it would. Crew was considerate and professional. Quality was superb. Everything was clean and covered. Made our place look like a new home. They did a bit extra to make us happy. Honored every request. Even fixed a light fixture that was out of adjustment. Will use them soon for my exterior job. Recommend with high confidence.

While homeowner was away, painters turned the 1 year old A/C unit on full blast and put the temperature down to less than 60 degrees two days in a row during hot summer, so A/C was running non-stop. A/C unit should be turned off during painting and sanding, as the chemicals from the paint breakdown the core, especially while using a sprayer as Alex & Bros did. Mentioned this to Alex, and he confirmed that A/C unit should have been turned off and suggested the homeowner disconnect the power to the A/C control box before painters return to finish job to ensure they do not turn it on again. Afterward, an A/C technician had to be hired to inspect the A/C unit, and an expensive duct cleaning was performed. Duct cleaning service noted a large amount of drywall and dust throughout the A/C system from painters, and they said painters should know better than to do what Alex & Bros. did. The duration of the job was quoted as a 6 day process, suggesting a quality job (reflected in the price) but was done in 2.5 days. Paint appears to have been painted on the walls without cleaning the dust from sanding first. Handles weren't removed from the doors as promised, and painters sprayed paint all fire detectors leaving them unusable. Painters did not clean up. Left a mess of paint and drywall dust everywhere, and only half the floors of the house were covered. Homeowner asked them to clean up, and they spent 5 mins with a broom. A professional cleaner had to be hired to clean up after them. I regret using Alex & Bros. and I would never recommend them to anyone.

Horrible. We waited a week or so for a phone call. We followed up with a,phone call. Never heard from the company again.

The whole process took only 3 days. It was perfect because I was pressed with time. The first day Alex gave me an estimate based on what I needed. Be sure to be very specific at the day of the estimate, and ask him if he would charge extra for any small change that usually come up in this kind of jobs. After I approved the price, he told me how much paint, and what types of paint I should buy. The second day they painted all the walls and ceiling. The third day they painted doors and trims, and touchups. I would surely recommend Alex and Bros. The job was neatly performed and all 4 painters were very courteous.

The painting was good and the people were nice, but they left a lot of paint on the floor, windows, sink, counter, etc. and they never cleaned it up. I asked them before they started to clean up everything before they left and they didn't.

We had a wonderful experience with Alex and his team. He came out to the house himself to see the work that needed to be done and give a quote. He made helpful suggestions that saved us money and improved the overall appearance of our home. Alex and his team arrived on time, as scheduled. They were polite, friendly, and efficient workers. Alex stayed after the work was completed until I returned home so that we could walk through the house together and ensure that all the work was done to my liking. I'm very picky and he was more than willing to touch up the 2 tiny spots I noticed. He offered to return if my husband or I noticed anything else in the next couple of days. We were completely satisfied with the work completed on our home. I really appreciated the knowledgability, professionalism, and fair pricing we received from Alex & Bros. We would definitely use them again, and actually just called to have an additional area painted. We are so happy to have found Alex & Bros and hope others will consider this great local business for all their painting needs!

We had sheetrock and ceiling water damage from a roof leak. Alex and Brothers gave an estimate, set up a date to do the work, followed through and completed the job. We were very pleased with the work and would certainly use them again and highly recommend them.

Very happy with the results. Alex and his workers are great! They fixed a hole in the ceiling in my kitchen where my husband's leg came through from the attic. They also painted the entire kitchen ceiling. Very professionally and cleaned up everything before they left. They took preventive measures while sanding the drywall to keep the dust out of the rest of the house.

Alex gave a good estimate for some drywall repairs. When I decided to use him he was very quick to schedule the repair even to the point of doing the work on a weekend. The repairs were done quickly and the work was done professionally. The repairs included painting all of the areas that were repaired, the painting was also done well. I am planning on using this company on other painting and repairs that still need to be done on my house.

I had been searching for someone reputable to do repairs and painting to the exterior of our house. I had talked to alex prior to joining angies list and in fact I joined angies list to be able to review what prior clients had to say about how he conducted his business. after reading about what others had to say about him, his workers, and his work I chose him over several others. I could not find any of the other painting firms I talked to on angies list. he was prompt in coming to our home and making a proposal to do the work. the quote was competitive with other proposals we had received so we chose him to do the work. we had a couple of delays getting started because of an upcoming trip out of town for us, the weather, and alex injuring his leg. we were not concerned about the delay and when they started they did not stop until the job was finished. they even worked on the 4th of july. I thought that they would take the day off to celebrate the holiday but they wanted to work while we had fair weather. the job was finished in four days. alex's workers were respectful and addressed any concerns that we had promptly. they kept the work area tidy and cleaned up after the job was finished. I liked doing business with alex and would recommend him to friends or family. I think they do good work at a fair price and we are happy with the work they did for us.

This review is long overdue and I'm sorry (to Alex) that I've not done it sooner. Health issues have kept us busy over recent months but all's well now. Alex Cadena is a excellent person and desires to please you to upmost...all he asks in return for his absolute commitment to the job is to work with people who can make decisions and will pay him promptly. If you hold up your end...he and his team will absolutely hold up their end of the bargin. I know this sounds weird but honestly he should charge more for his efforts. I've been in construction for 30 years and can tell you that as a homeowner you get great value out of his company and you don't need to try to "talk the price down". He and his team are creative, honest, hardworking to a fault, skilled, focused on quality and committed to customer satisfaction. After his remodeling efforts the house which was appraised a little below $400k but in a awesome location in Hilton Head Plantation was re-apraised at well over $600k...and the appraiser kept commenting on the quality of the work and how totally amazed he was at the transformation. The house went from a early 80's tired, worn, so very dated and un-maintained to looking like a newly constructed home that was totally updated throughout. We gave him the keys when he started and got them back (with new locks) almost 5 months later.

I am a residential landlord and Alex has been my painter for years. He is very professional, responsible and is capable of handling all types of work. I can always depend on him to give a fair price and that he will work to get the job done swiftly (but not too quick) and to my standards. I always refer people to him for commercial or personal work. I cannot recommend him enough!

Alex & his workers always clean up after themselves!

We bought a new house that had a dated interior and was in need of remodeling. My wife and I set our budget for remodeling, and we did not want to go outside the budget we set up initially. I contacted 4 different contractors, of various capacities and abilities, including Alex and Bros. The main items that we identified that we wanted completed prior to moving were the removal of the popcorn ceilings and the removal of the wallpaper. The estimates varied greatly, but we chose Alex and his team for three reasons; 1. Alex and his team were willing to do both jobs, so we wouldn't have to have two seperate crews coming in at various times to complete popcorn removal and then wallpaper removal 2. Alex's price was the best quote we received 3. Alex had received positive reviews on Angie's list (I had never used Angie's List previously, but the reviewed and comments seemed legit). We were extremely happy once Alex and his crew began work on the house. The began by laying down paper on all high-traffic area, and taping off the entire house with plastic sheeting (walls, floors, light fixtures, etc). As you can imagine popcorn removal can make a mess, but I was suprised to see how clean the house remained during the process. Alex's team was diligent about maintaining a clean work area, and this was refreshing to me as I'm kind of particular about things. They completed the popcorn removal quickly, about 1.5-2 days to remove all the texturing. After the popcorn was removed they primed the ceiling with white primer to identify areas that needed drywall repair, and patched any bbad areas with drywall mud. Next, they laid on a skim coat of drywall mud over the entire ceiling to give it the nice, smoothed finish we desired. Finally, they painted the entire ceiling with a white ceiling paint that looked fantastic. There were some difficult areas to work at our house, including two very tall, narrow skylights. Everything came out looking great, and they finished even faster than I had anticipated. I was at the house looking at the work that was done, and explained to Alex that I planned on painting the entire house, and changing the crown molding color to white. He told me since the crew was already there, he could get me a good deal on painting. Since I am very busy with work, and wasn't looking forward to multiple weekends of painting, I asked him to give me a quote. The number he came back was extremely fair, and we hired him to do the painting of the house too! Again, everything came out looking amazing, and the house looks like new now! I had already purchased paint over Labor day (on sale at Home Depot) and they were willing to use my paint which saved me additional money! Overall, everything went very smooth with Alex and his crew. They did a great job with the wallpaper, ceilings, and painting! As I said earlier, I am very picky (I'm an engineer and pay close attention to detail, maybe to a fault at times). Alex's crew even went back and corrected any minute details I could find, although there really was not that many things I could find wrong. Prior to my final walkthrough, the crew had spent a full day to walk through the house with a spotlight, and look at every inch of work they had completed to ensure there were no errors. They also did a thorough job cleaning up the house after they were done to not leave any drywall remnants or dust. I appreciated this, as we have a 18 month old baby. I was so pleased with the work that Alex and his crew did at our house, that I referred him to my parent's. He will be doing similar work on their house in the upcoming weeks. I wouldn't refer someone to my family if I wasn't completely satified with thier work. I'd be happy to give a reference to anyone about Alex and Bros.

Alex and Bros did an absolutely fantastic job on all phases of the project! Their attention to detail with the painstaking prep work will result in a paint job that lasts a very long time. Every nail pop was cleaned and treated. They caulked every single crack no matter how small with a product that has lifetime warranty. It took three days of 3-4 men working all day to complete the job on schedule. All the crew was very polite and friendly and skilled. When they were finished everything was cleaned up and back to normal EXCEPT for the new beautiful paint job. I'm VERY picky about what I pay for but the work was so good I have contracted with Alex to do some exterior carpentry work. Alex and his workers get the very highest marks for this project. You would be hard pressed to find anyone comparable!

We called Alex and it was 5 days before he could get to us to give us a quote. He arrived on time and spent a lot of time looking at the damaged caused by the foundation cracking. He impressed us by the details he was planning on doing, the items we hadn't seen and the ideas he shared. He gave us a fair price for all the work and we agreed upon a deadline. He and his crew arrived on time and immediately got to work. Each day was a vast improvement and the attention to detail....impeccable. They finished almost 2 weeks early and did a great job. Somewhere there is a very proud Grandfather who's silver drill is in great hands!!!

Mr. Cadena showed up on time to do a walk around and issue and estimate. He was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. The price was reasonable and after the way Mr. Cadena conducted himself, I awarded him the project. The work began on time and was finished on schedule. The Alex and Bros Painting and Renovations crew was very friendly and polite during the project. Each day the work area was cleaned up and left orderly. The crew even killed a snake and let me know about it because they didn't want my dogs to be bitten. I would definitely recommend using Alex and Bros Painting and Renovations!!! I have two other projects planned with them in the near future. They are great!!!
