It was not good. We had big problems regarding the price. I disliked that there was no contract involved and at the end he tried to jack up his price significantly. I sent him a couple of checks and we were off by $200. He ended up taking me to court and tried to sue me for about $1,500. It was basically split, but the amount that he was awarded was essentially the amount I sent him the two checks for and that he refused. He was trying to sue me for an additional $800 to $900, but the judge didn't award it to him because I think she saw right through his case. The judge gave him basically what I had offered him, so I think he's a very unethical contractor. I should've had a contract with him, but I didn't. The things that he was doing he ended up subbing out to another guy who also subbed it out. He was a nice talking guy, but it turned out to be a very bad experience. I wouldn't do a contract like that again with a guy like that without going to Angie's List. He was a very smooth talking southern gentleman, but his work ethics was questionable because he was trying to get multiple contracts with me. I have a 12,000 sq. ft. home and once he realized after the first engagement that he wasn't going to get additional work from me he essentially jacked up his price about $600 or $700. When I refused it he did everything in his power to try to put a lien on my house. He did a variety of very bad things that I've never had done and I own commercial property and deal with contractors all the time. People should know that you have to watch what this guy says and you definitely want a contract. The work wasn't the big issue. He didn't do the work and subbed it out to another guy that I wasn't aware of who then subbed out 60% of the work to a third contractor. So I ended up with three different contractors in my home and at the end of that process Mr. Wood shows up with an inflated invoice. I would be very cautious with him because he'll try some shady stuff at the end if he feels that he can extract additional money. The things that he charged me for were never discussed. The judge saw it and didn't award it to him because he kind of made up things on the back-end that he felt he wanted to get paid for since he knew he wasn't getting more work out of me. I would definitely saw "Members Beware". I knew going in based on his proposal that his price was higher than most. The reason why I chose him was based on availability because I was running out of time and I needed the guy who could get to it the quickest. It only became a problem when he tried to add all of these frivolous additional line items that weren't ever proposed or discussed and invalid which was what the judge found. I have no complaints with the work and it was actually satisfactory although they didn't do something I asked them to do with some of their tile design, but that was fine. He was responsive, but the subcontractors did not show up on time. I'm in a gated neighborhood and usually a lot of people use contractors that other neighbors have used and this guy has never done any work out here and now I can understand why. Overall it was a mistake. The work turned out okay, but the experience of dealing with them was a total "F". I have about 4,000 square ft. of marble throughout the house and he was supposed to refurbish it, but once he realized he wasn't getting that work that's when he started jacking up his price on the demo work that I did give him.

They were really good. They were wonderful. Their price and professionalism were really good. They were quick. The floors are beautiful. They did an excellent job. We bought a new built home and the floors had never been stained. They gave us a lot of choices and the types of stain that we wanted. They gave us samples where they actually stained three or four samples on the floor. So we chose what we liked the best. We worked with one particular guy that we liked. They went out of their way to make us happy. My husband forgot to sign the cheque and we weren’t living in the same home because the work was being done there. The poor guy got lost and he was willing to come back to the place where we lived to get the cheque signed. We will absolutely use their services again in the future.
