Emperial Hardwood Floors

Out of the many estimates I received, Ricky was the most thorough. He spent time educating me on the hardwood floors, his process, and making recommendations for my home. I trusted him and his crew to do a great job. After meeting his crew when we were testing stain colors, I felt very comfortable leaving town while they worked in my home. We are very pleased with the hardwood floors. You cannot tell where the new floors begin and the old existed. They were beautifully woven together. The inlaid wood floor vents give a very polished look to the home. I did have a couple of spots on the handrails that I wanted them to look at when I got home. They promptly came back and did a few touch ups. When a company is willing to make a trip back out so that you are 100% happy, I always appreciate that.

Everything went perfect, floors are beautiful and the right color. Basement and stairs look great. They placed luxury vinyl plank in the basement and put new hardwood on stairs going down. They finished a day ahead of schedule

We have lived in our home for 22 years and have had our floors sanded and refinished in the past. This time, I got estimates from five different companies. Although not the least expensive, I am so grateful that we chose Emperial!!! George and his crew were ON TIME, they were THOROUGH, they were KNOWLEDGEABLE and they did not rush the process. Emperial was fantastic. They were prompt, hardworking and fast. The floors look amazing. They even took the time to make sure the wood around the stone fireplace was cut around the stone perfectly. It looks like it was always there!

The Emperial team showed up on time and ready to work. The lead person explained to us the process while the other team members were already putting up plastic sheeting and removing the shoe molding. They moved our refrigerator, sanded a small area on the floor, and showed us several stain samples. We made our selection, handed them the key, and left the house while they completed the work. We had one minor glitch -- they were supposed to stain and install new shoe molding to match the floor, however, they installed primed shoe molding instead. After seeing this and calling Ricky, he agreed to do whatever was necessary to get this fixed -- and he did. We liked the white shoe molding, so agreed to have it painted and leave it in place. It turned out beautifully! The team cleaned up and when we walked back into our house we had beautiful, stained floors with beautiful white shoe molding! I would highly recommend Emperial Floors. Their pricing was reasonable and the quality of their work was exceptional!

I received six quotes and Ricky’s was the best. Not only that, I felt very comfortable hiring his service since he was so quick to respond to my numerous questions and was so informative. He also has a way of making you feel comfortable with the whole process. I had the entire flooring in my house replaced with re-engineered wood (approximately 900 sq.ft). and the work was completed in one day! They did a great job and would highly recommend them.

We have worked with Ricky and Lori with Emperial Hardwood Floors for the past 10 years. They have performed various tasks from repairing/installing new hardwood floors to refinishing floors. They have always performed their work in a professional manner, on-time and on-budget. Ricky normally oversees the office side of things (proposals, scheduling, coordination) and George manages the field side. Everyone is extremely easy to work with, know their profession and always try to please the client. We had a white-washed stain/finish applied to all our hardwood floors throughout the entire house (~2,400 sq.ft.). Ricky and George went the extra length to ensure this difficult job was technically doable and completed in a quality manner. We also had both front and rear staircases replaced with new tread/risers, newel posts and railings, and balusters replaced with decorative wrought iron. We could not have been more pleased with the outcome of all projects. We will use them on all future work, and highly recommend them.

Quality Work for Great Price From the quoting process all the way to the last day. Ricky and his team were a pleasure to work with. My husband and I moved into an older home that dated yellow color hardwood floors and some areas where it seemed there was debris embedded into the poly coating. I received a few estimates. When Ricky came to provide an estimate he was able to give me numbers on the spot and followed up with a written copy the next business day. On that day I knew that he knew what he was doing! And, he was also flexible to give me an itemized quote so that I could decide what work I wanted to consider. At the end of the day, we decided to refinish our main floor and replace some areas in the kitchen and 1 board in the living room that had filler and/or gaps. When George and the crew showed up to do the work, they were punctual, friendly, and did a superior job. When the team went to replace the kitchen floorboards I expected them to replace only what was exposed. But, they went above and beyond by removing the whole fridge and replacing ALL the boards under the fridge. Also, I couldn't be happier with the stain color! They really listened to the color I wanted and the color mix samples they showed me came out beyond perfect! Beyond the quality work that Ricky, George and their team provided, they were by far the most reasonable in cost for the work that was provided. I will definitely be calling them again for future jobs

These were the finish onsite hardwood floors so they had to be sanded, stained and polyurethaned. They also put quarter round all around the room and in the closets. They did an excellent job. They had to make a custom stain to match my other hardwood floors. They were also very polite.

Emperial Floors did a phenomenal job installing solid wood oak flooring in my home, covering 3 rooms and 2 hallways and also rebuilt the staircase with oak retrotreads. The flooring looks fantastic!! It was a fairly large job, approximately 900 square feet and I had alot of concerns about the final outcome, since I had 2 different types of flooring, carpet and parquet, that needed to be replaced. There was a particle board sublayer under the carpet that needed to be replaced with new plywood, but there was existing plywood under the parquet that could be kept and I was very concerned about the floors being level with the tile in the bathroom and kitchen after the new plywood and flooring was installed. I actually interviewed 7 companies before finally selecting a company to do the job! I happened to come across Emperial and set up a meeting with the owner, Ricky Core. Mr. Core's knowledge of the flooring and building industry is very impressive. He explained all aspects and challenges of the install job very clearly, so that I had a clear understanding and complete assurance the job was going to be done correctly. He also knew exactly what width plywood needed to be used to make the floors completely level, a mistake that was unfortunately miscalculated by two other companies. His team always arrived on schedule, were friendly, very courteous and responsive, and are highly skilled and worked at lightspeed pace without sacrificing quality. I give this company my highest recommendation. They did an exceptional job and my house looks absolutely beautiful.

Great. The work exceeded our expectations.

After 22 years, the original hardwood floors were getting dull as the polyurethane had lost it's luster, as well as all the wear and tear from raising kids & animals in the house. We had finally decided to refinish the red oak floors, and had been debating for a while about having the hardwood extended into the useless formal living room we have, since it always had carpet. We wished we had went ahead and installed hardwood in that room when the house was built, to match the foyer and dining room. We checked a couple of places and just did not seem worth the cost to add it in there, until we called Ricky, as he was recommended by a co-worker of my bride. The project we wanted priced was just refinishing the existing hardwood, sanding down to change the stain & top coats, and also if we removed the carpet and had new red oak installed to match. We had no idea, they could weave in new hardwood with the existing, and make is seamlessly look so close to the original. The price was less than we expected, basing that on the higher quotes we received from other places on just refinishing the existing floors. Once we had everything in place, Chico & crew showed up the next week, to start work. We had one small area in the corner, that had shrunk from water damage, and caused gaps between the boards. Since it was in the corner, we really didn't want to replace it. However, one thing they do is use stainable wood filler in all the gaps between boards, and it worked out very well in the end. It took four days to get it all done and that included putting down new shoe molding. One tip if you ware going to paint the shoe molding yourself is have them bring it the first day & have it painted for them the last day to install. It will save you time, as you only have to go back and touch up the nail holes & caulk, and not have to paint along the floor since you can't put blue tape on the floor for a while. In the end, Ricky was great to work with, and Chico & crew did a fantastic job. It all turned out much better than we expected. I will try to upload some pictures of their work & I would highly recommend you give Ricky a call if you are wanting great results at a reasonable price.

They met my time schedule both for starting and completing the project and worked with me to put back all the furniture exactly where I wanted it. After several disappointing experiences with contractors during a 6 month renovation, we hired Emperial to refinish our floors. The entire experience was terrific - can't recommend Francisco and his team enough. These guys were punctual, professional, and precise with their work, and the final product was remarkable. Service was excellent! The owner Ricky came to my house and gave me a detailed quote within a 2 days of my call. He was very thorough and explained what type of flooring would work best in a basement and gave me tips on where to purchase the product for lowest price. They even picked up the materials for me from the store with no extra cost. The work was completed a few days later by 3 workers who took extra time and attention making sure the pattern of the multi-size and multi-color planks were in a pattern I wanted and complimented the room. They had me spot check it throughout so I didn't have any surprises. The price I paid was lower than other reputable companies that I contacted who sent Reps out to my house for an estimate and couldn't answer any of my questions about the type of flooring I should use, materials I needed or cost, they were simply sent to measure the rooms and nothing else. My floors look great and I would highly recommend this company to others.
