Description of Work: Donna keep me informed the entire time about my home sale. She helped make everything easy and efficient, and was able to answer my questions whenever I had a concern. She was always available to me, and was great about explaining and walking me through all the steps in the selling process. Donna and her partner Lydia were a pleasure to work with!

Description of Work: The agent assisted me in looking at houses, but when I made an offer on one, she began to "make mistakes". She "forgot" to add in problems for repairs that the inspector had listed. I had to check all of the work and list needed repairs myself, and then make sure she had them right on counteroffers. She then submitted the wrong form to the seller, which put me at a severe disadvantage (no repairs). She then told me several times that the seller would sue me if I did not continue with the purchase. She continued to call me with demands from the seller, and I continued to be at a severe disadvantage. Because I had transferred in from the West Coast, I had no idea how much leverage the seller had in the local courts and in the area, and was very concerned about being dragged to court. I was also travelling for work. The agent didn't bother to show up at closing, and after she had me scan in my signature for the never ending papers that had to be signed (during work hours of course), she never bothered to contact me again. At closing, the seller and listing agent wanted to sit through me reviewing and signing loan papers. The sellers or the attorney had slipped in an agreement for a pest control contract that I had to challenge later. I made a beginner's mistake by thinking we had signed an agreement and the agent that was showing me houses was working for me. In reality, she was another agent for the seller (that is how the law works). If you don't have a separate and specific agreement as a buyer, your agent, who is acting as though she or he is assisting you, is actually working for the seller (along with the listing agent, who is, of course, working for the seller). I understood later how good an agent she was for the seller.
