Quality Air Consultants is the No.1 Environmental Consulting, Testing, and Inspection/ Assessment Company in South GA. We are the only EPA Certified Technicians providing solutions for a Healthy Indoor Environment by our experience and testing in all areas of contaminants. Asbestos, Lead, odors and gasses, and bio-growth such as toxic mold. We include the why, how, when, and where these toxins have originated and answers of how to eliminate the problem and tie the contaminant together with any health issues the occupants may have that may be caused by the poor indoor air quality. We take pride in our clients being fully informed of all aspects of awareness, of the effects of harmful environmental issues, and damage that a residence or commercial building may have and to ensure the better expectations of a clean and healthy, good indoor air quality environment. We have "specials" always on Inspections and Testing as we do not want anyone living/working in a toxin filled indoors; once inspected and Lab results are analyzed you will receive an Assessment Report written on your project, explaining in plain easy reading all that has taken place, the incident that has caused, and how it began the bio-growth, if toxic molds or contaminants are found at accelerated levels in the air or on surfaces. A Certified protocol of steps of Remediation to eliminate the found toxin would be written also along with the explanation and consulting. The last step would be a Declaration of Clearance done by Q.A.C. the environment is back to a normal indoor ecology and healthy and safe for living or working in. We take all major Credit Cards, Checks, and work with the State, Counties, Cities, and Federal Agencies as to P.O.'s and Work Orders.

I had one email with a great response, and then he was only available to come by on days were my tenant was not in. I then gave him two days in each week of the work week for a month that my tenant would be available. I never heard back. In fact he told me he could not provide appointments until the week of because he didn't know his schedule and couldn't give an accurate time of arrival on that day. I realized he was not going to try and work with us, so I asked if he had any suggestions for testing and he never responded. Too busy working with the larger companies, and seemed to not be interested or have other priorities.
Description of Work: I was looking for an accredited local consultant in regards to formaldehyde levels in the flooring we had installed.

We are sorry to hear you had such a negative experience with our company. The health and well-being of our clients has always been our main concern, while maintaining an equally high level of customer service for our large contract clients to those in need when compensation has been forfeited. We truly tried to do our best to work within your financial perimeters which did limit our availability for scheduling due to the 150 mile round trip distance between your mother's residence and our office. The $200 quoted price did not cover our cost of equipment rental and lab fees without the consideration of travel expenses that would have been incurred for the two trips required for this form of testing. We tried to offer simple visual inspections that you could perform, in the hope of providing you with some peace of mind, to which we never received a response. Nor did we receive a response when we tried to contact you on 3/18 to schedule an appointment for 3/25 with a 45 minute window for arrival time due to the distance traveled and the possibility of unforeseen traffic occurrences. To our knowledge there is not a company in your area that provides these services to which you could be referred. We are unable to recommend an at home test kit due to the consideration of the margin of user error for which we cannot be made liable and cannot attest to they're accuracy. Nor would an at home test be admissible if you decided to initiate litigation with the company from which the floors were purchased. Please be assured that we appreciate your feedback and will learn from this experience by keeping our clients better informed on the individual circumstances involved in such situations. We truly tried our best to accommodate you and your mother while trying to to minimize our out of pocket expenses for the service we would have provided. Our apologies again and we hope you were able to find a solution to meet your needs.

Thank you for your review, most who are pleased and even over-pleased do not write reviews; unless it is bad news then they will tell 100 people. This was a Solar Insulation Job which is fairly new and a lot of people do not know about it; as in this home it will lower temperatures in summer over 10 degrees in the home, over all other insulation's, batten, blown in, encapsulate spray-in foams, and it has no harmful off-gassing or VOC's as it is water -proof and mold-proof. When installed many times it just goes over the insulation already there and will immediately drop temperatures, and in Winter holds the heat in the home. IT is used to wrap the hot water heater and cut down on its energy usage by as much as 40% ; this appliance is 19% of your utility bill. It can be used a vapor barrier and to eliminate temperature inversions which cause over condensation and moisture in home that promotes bio-growth such as mold and bacteria. Do you have condensation on your HVAC vents in ceiling ? Do your walls sweat? Do you have plaster walls that have no insulation? Insulation also as it gets older it losses its "R" factor which means its ability to work, to insulate. Well you can have the Solar sheeting laid right over existing old insulation that no longer works well. Solar Insulation will block 97% of the sun's heat and radiant heat that is entering your home; we have been in attic's that were up to 139 degrees; even R-30 or any type insulation besides the Solar can stop this kind of heat from entering your home's indoors, even if the temperatures were 115 degrees it is a problem, as it creates a temperature inversion and causes the duct work to sweat and drip onto ceilings leaving water spots, how many have been in an office building with the acoustical ceiling tiles and see spots on many of them? That's where the duct work has been dropping water on them and then mold growth soon follows. Take an Air-Handler and the duct work that is in the attic of your home or offices, can you imagine the HVAC system trying to create the cool air in the Air-Handler to promote the desired temperature setting indoor's of your home or workplace with the surface temperature of the unit and ducts at 129 degrees? Have you ever thought why is my unit staying on all day and it is still not as cool as I would like? Well an easy solution is to solar blanket the Air-Handler, and wrap the duct system in attic so there is no temperature inversion which stops the condensation as you dew point temps are way better, and it helps you HVAC to stop struggling and over working to reach the desired temperature, as it is not fighting itself anymore. The Solar will lower the surface and inside temps to a normal 84-89 degrees instead of up to 137..! So the unit can reach the temperature wanted very easy compared to before the Solar wrapping and promote a healthy system and good Air Quality as the ducts are not wet and growing mold and fungi, and the unit is not over producing water and being full all the time producing mold and bacteria growth. Solar Insulation and Certified Safe HVAC Techniques actually can change the climate of your home or office building and help in having a healthy and safe indoor Environment. This new product can be used in so many ways, as being water proof and mold proof it is an environmental tool that uses are tremendous in helping you have a Quality Indoor Air and a better quality of life. Call us today if you have any moisture, condensation, or HVAC problems and we can design and detail a plan for your improved climate and indoor environment.
