Wes was hired in April 2015 for a total bathroom and closet renovation. He gave what we thought was a reasonable estimate of $15k, but asked for a lot of his money up front, stating that he needed to pay for supplies and labor. We paid him much more than we should have before the work was started and he continued to ask for more and more. He stated half way through that he would not be able to finish unless we paid him another $3k, so we did. We were naive and this was our first experience hiring a contractor. He and his team made many mistakes such as demolishing 1 1/2 feet too far into our bedroom, and demolishing without having any plans made. He left us for several weeks with 1/4 of our house under construction, and still did not present us with any project plans, so we eventually created them ourselves. He did not follow the plans we created, thus incurring much more expense to fix mistakes, then attempting to pass that expense along to us. Our home ended up being under construction from mid April until late August. He abandoned the project altogether by the end. After spending $20,000 total with Warren Remodeling, Wes stopped returning our phone calls or showing up. We had to complete finishing work ourselves (sanding, painting, sealing tile and grout). It was even very difficult just getting our house keys back from him. Now, we are already experiencing major problems with the work he did do (stone slab around bathtub is pulling away from grout, cracks along the whole thing). I have contacted Wes again multiple times to ask that he just come look at it, hoping that he might make it right in the end. He will not respond. We do not have money left to take legal action, but want to keep other consumers from experiencing the same nightmare.
