Run, run as far away as you can form Mr. Handyman. They are a very poorly and unethically run company...issues with scheduling, issues with invoice, issues with the fact they had three handymen come to my house and they had to fire 2 of the 3 of them before they finished the job. To be fair the 3rd person did a good job. Would NOT hire again.

I own a townhouse in Pooler, but I live in Texas. While on a recent visit, I noticed the fan in the Master Bedroom was in need of repair. I contacted Mr. Handyman and requested service. The lady that scheduled the service took a lot of notes on exactly which room/fan was in need of repair. It was clearly noted "fan in master bedroom. Upstairs - bedroom on right". Upon completion of the work I received an invoice for $184.00. The photos attached showed a fan hanging with wires & then a photo with the wire cover back in place. This was the fan in the living room. The technician did not even walk upstairs to do repairs on the broken fan. He merely removed the piece that covers the wires where the fan attaches to the ceiling and photographed it. Then he replaced that piece and photographed it again. Unbelievable. Completely unethical & dishonest. I hope this technician is held responsible for attempting to scam a loyal customer. I have used Mr. Handyman in my area (The Woodlands, TX) for years with no complaints. I will NEVER refer nor use this franchise again.

Hello, I'm sorry to see that your experience with Mr. Handyman seems to have been less than pleasing. We offer a 100% guarantee on all of our services, so we will dispatch a technician free of charge to correct any issues. I understand that at this time you do not wish to take advantage of this option, but if you change your mind, please call our office and we will schedule a date to come back to your home. I also want to extend my apologies if the pictures caused any confusion. We wanted to show you that the fan base was not flush against the ceiling. There was a missing bolt causing the fan to shake; which we replaced. This was the only fan malfunctioning at the time our technician was at the location. Customer satisfaction is one of our top priorities, so we would never charge anyone for a service we did not complete. As I mentioned to Mrs. [Member Name Removed], the invoice was voided the day we spoke, and will remain this way unless we are allowed to revisit the location, to inspect our work. We truly do strive to make sure every customer we service is provided the best experience, so I hope your thoughts of Mr. Handyman change as time passes, and we are able to provide our services to you in the future.
