our complaint is that almost immediately our lawn was FULL of weeds. We attempted to call Mr. Powell regarding this problem and he did not answer nor call us back. We then attempted to contact him via email as this had been a satisfactory method of communicating with him during the course of the project. We got NO response. Also, they didn't use a lawn roller and we think the yard looks lumpy.

Plants were delivered on the 2nd worksay and were not planted until almost two weeks later. It took a lot of effort on our part to keep them alive. The same is true for the transplanted plants. they were dug, seperated and just left sitting in the yard. I had to point out to Mr. Powell that they needed to be replanted. Most did not survive. A week ino the job, Mr. powell's tractor had a flat tire and the steering broke. He rented a replacement and charged us additiona rental cost of $1,000 beyond the original quote. He damaged the cables from our satellite dish so badly, they had to be rerun and buried at a cost of 150.00. He also damaged the stucco on one corner of the house which we unfortunately didn't discover until after the job was done. I will try to repair the damage myself but may need to hire a professional.

They come every week. They're pretty quick and they take care of that plus they do the planting and fertilizing and all that kind of stuff. Their price is a little above than average.

From initial contact to work completion, Mr. Powell and his crew were prompt,courteous,thorough and professional. He is a very experienced landscape designer and while we only asked that existing flower beds be cleaned and top soil added, Mr. Powell built into his estimate beds that were designed with low maintenance shrubs, flowers and trees. All our existing day lillies were removed, divided, planted in a new bed and mulched. The estimate was very reasonable and included a detailed list and cost of all plants. To water the new sod and plants, he installed an additional water valve and provided water timers. This made it possible for watering to be done automatically and required only a small amout of time for us to monitor. The grading of the two hills was done quickly and all the soil removed was placed in areas of the property where it was neeeded. The decorative blocks anchoring the driveways are exactly what we envisioned. His estimate was very close to the final cost. The cost difference was a result of an additional flower bed established at our request. All the work was completed in less than 5 days. We have waited several weeks to post this review because we wanted to report how the plants and other improvements are progressing. All plants and trees are still living. A couple of the nandinas that get a lot of afternoon sun have suffered some stress, but they are putting out new growth now. Most of the day lillies bloomed this summer. The sod is well established and has been cut several times. We have spent a great deal of time removing clover and another weed from the flower beds. We believe these may have been brought in with the pine straw mulch, but we do not believe Powell Nursery could have done anything to prevent this infestation. In the future we would probably select another type of mulch. We cannot say enough about Mr. Powell's great crew. They are experienced, efficient, courteous, accommodating to our requests, and they work very hard. These changes and additions designed and installed by Mr. Powell and his crew made a tremendous improvement to our front yard and we are very pleased with the work. We would definitely ask for landscaping help from Powell Nursery of Pine Mountain and Mr. Powell again.

They do really good work and they take care of the weeds. He's actually a landscape designer and has also designed our yard.

Price wise they are not the cheapest but they are very thorough. They not only cut the grass they also do weeding and they clean up. The other people just cut the grass for $40 and not do weeding, we would have to do the weeding, sweep it up and cleanup.

They were good, they worked hard. All of the trees and stuff they put in for us came with a one year guarantee and having them come out and replace things was like pulling teeth. They were very slow. The initial work they did was good but getting them to come back out and replace our trees was like pulling teeth.
